We discussed it briefly and I told him I would consider his offer, as I already had another offer at a reasonable price. Imagine my surprise when I returned home from work a few weeks later to find him cleaning up the remains of my tree (with the exception of an uneven stump still in the ground). He then came to me looking for payment. I never agreed to have him cut down my tree. He never confirmed whether I even wanted his services, or provided an estimate on the cost. I do not recommend this company by any means. I did pay him, as I didn't want to risk retaliation or ongoing harassment. I feel I was scammed and hope this review may save someone else from a similar situation.
