The Sport Expert franchise is more geared towards exercises and fitness. The great thing about this is you often have or need different equipment piece with different interests or intent. By example, you might want really sturdy hiking shoes to go in the woods but a more extravagant neon spandex outfit. (In case you get lost, you know) This place would be ideal for this. However, because of the merge, the specialized stuff is omitted. You will find all of the "best seller" of both chains but, not the whole catalog. I also like the fact that the seller don't have any incentive to make you buy more or to make you bust your budget. We were referred by the Atmosphere of Saint-Sauveur because this store had a brand of shoes that the other didn't had. I do personally prefer the Saint-Sauveur one, because I'm more geared toward camping. But in a pinch I would go here for sure!

A few days past the 15 day return date and they refused! And they wonder why Amazon get so much business. I prefer to buy locally and from stores, but I will not be shopping here again.

My husband was searching far and wide shoes to accommodate his feet. He went to 4 different stores before and it took a minute to the clerk to fetch a perfect pair of shoes. He even suggested an other stores and other brands that they don't carry. Really easy going, really easy prices too. (Cheap, for outdoor gear standard, which are really expensive in normal terms (you understand what I mean right?!))

Recently we decided to purchase new equipment and found that Daniel LaChance had the best selection by far, and their service was like nothing we've ever experienced before. We purchased custom-fit ski boots for our 2 sons, and the boot fitter was exceptional. It's an experience - but I highly recommend taking the time to get your boots properly fitted the way they do at Lachance. The gentleman who did the fitting was precise and meticulous, measuring their feet and molding the boots to every contour, bump, and detail. It took about 2 hours and several rounds of tweaking a pressure point here and a spot there. When we returned to Mont Tremblant this year, we needed adjustments to the boots, which they said happens sometimes. The Ski Shop did not hesitate to make sure we got what we needed, they got right to work on making the necessary adjustments, at no charge. They even stayed past closing time to complete the boot fitting. In addition to custom boot fitting, they have an incredible array of skis, boots, clothing, and accessories. Just a fantastic store, with great people. We are 100% satisfied with Daniel LaChance, best Ski Shop we've ever been to!

Salomon redesigned their heal plates about 10 years ago. Alex made a detailed list of my son's old ski boot specifications and helped him try on various ski boots. Mike did not think that the heal plates for boots as old as his would be available so he transplanted the back heal plates from another pair of boots of similar size to my son's old ski boots and donated the boots to fix the front heal plates if they break. All work was done within 2 weeks and free of charge. My son's old comfortable ski boots were repaired to our full satisfaction.

We skipped snowboarding and skiing this morning, Sunday, Feb 6, to purchase Atomic Vantage 90 Cti…read moreskis. We tested the skis during demo day on Saturday. The woman who signed us up and the white-haired gentleman who set up the skis were extremely helpful and friendly, as was the person we talked with upon returning the skis at the end of the day. We were totally sold on these skis after trying them. Upon returning them, we were told the skis would still be 25% off the following day, but the bindings, which were 20% off on demo day, would go back to full price; however, I could use my Montagnard card for a 20% discount on the bindings. So basically the same deal as on demo day, because of my card, would be honoured the following day. We returned this morning, Feb. 7, 2016, to buy skis. OMG! What a total contrast in service to the previous day. The staff were completely unfriendly, almost rude, nobody came to help us, we had to seek them out and break up their conversation with each other to get some service. My friend had the Vantage 90 skis in hand to buy and they told him they were 20% off, not 25%, as represented the day before. We explained this to them and they couldn't care less. Without a doubt they were the worst sales people I've ever dealt with in buying ski equipment, and I've been buying high-end equipment for over 30 years. Let me emphasize that -Atomic Tremblant has the absolute worst service I've ever experienced!!! They effectively lost a $1000 purchase today because they didn't want to stand by their word from the day before and provide an additional discount of $35 on the skis. For us, it was a matter of principle. We walked out shaking our heads and vowing never to ever return. My friend's girlfriend who witnessed how we were treated was in shock. She couldn't believe it. What a complete and utter disappointment. We could have been on the slopes instead of wasting our time at Atomic trying to buy skis from a store that doesn't know how to properly treat and serve customers. What made it all the worst was the contrast between the staff that served us at the demo booth and the pitiful Sunday staff in the store this morning. If you're thinking of buying skis, don't waste your time or money at Atomic @ Tremblant. I honestly wish I could rate them zero stars because that would be more accurate.

Brenda was awesome, saw me looking at bikes and came right over. Very knowledgeable. The store had a decent vibe and was clean. Lots of gear and clothing. Shopping for a bike on Markertplace, Canadian Tire, Used, Costco. Forget it. I tried. Here, the bike is assembled for you upon purchase by people that know what they are doing. Warranty included. 15% off accessories for 7 days after the buy. You can get sized on your visit to see what size of bike you need. You can test drive the floor model on the lot to get a feel for your chosen one. (Bring runners, of course) I learned a lot and I'll be back soon for payment. 3 Ottawa locations. Westboro is said to be bigger. Orleans has a lot of the stock. It feels elite to shop here. Just wish it was a tad more affordable but you get what you pay for!

Dan immediately took the lead communicating with Trek, demonstrating the uniqueness of this break. My bike was in the shop less than a week, where Trek provided a new frame. The team had the bike re-assembled and back on the road. Bushtukah Stittsville remains my sole provider of cycles and services because of its consistently high service and attention to detail. Her board advice and knowledge was spot on and helped me pick a super fun board to ride Tremblant and bindings that fit me perfectly. Gloves were also on the shopping list and she provided me her honest opinion on everything in stock and didn't try to up sell me. Lastly, I decided to rent the board another half day and she stored my board overnight at the store so I didn't have to lug back to the condo. Overall amazing experience, but management needs to get extra employees in the store.
