When I recently contacted Alert Alarm (they had monitored the house for the previous owner) they were happy to talk and showed up unannounced the next day and began messing with my system while I read through a very one sided three year contract with automatic one year renewals at what seemed to be a high monthly price. I wouldn't sign and checked around. Apparently there are several national companies willing to do the same monitoring job for one quarter the price and without any contract. Once I informed them that I was going with someone else and asked them to release or transfer my cell modem to my new monitoring company, nobody at Alert Alarm seemed to know how to do that. Finally after several days and numerous calls their salesman called me back and tells me the owner is willing to release my cell modem for $200. Just to be clear it's my equipment, I owe them nothing but they will try to hold my modem hostage.

The people at their office in Sallisaw are very nice and helpful with all our questions. The line crew have been very nice also and when cutting trees back they made sure to clean all their mess up. Its nice to know that help is only a phone call away.

Do not use these people, complete scam. $100 service fee, $100 install fee, and failure to mention…read more$100 deliver fee, but were very quick to mention to there was also $100 deliver fee when asked for them to not install it and then say they couldn't deliver the washer, that was already there due to them not installing it. Once my mother in law told just the $100 service fee would be paid because she no longer wanted the washer from them they forced to pay with threats to call the police. Absolute terrible business practices.
