Lovely cafe, great coffee (and the coffee art), but the place is lacking in service and bakery quality. I stopped by to choose a cake for our NY's eve dinner, and decided to taste the black forest cake before buying a full size for over $50+. The Black Forest cake was ok, it was a little too cakey for me, and I didn't get that delicate kirsch and cherry flavors. The coffee shop is not really clean, it should only take 1 staff member to take the initiative and wipe the tables clean and pick up paper trash from the floor. Overall, an average experience.

Cake I had there was black forest and a coffee flavoured cake

The cake was okay would be better and the tea we ordered was just ordinary tea bags. Service is brilliant.

Japanese cheese cake is quite nice

This wonderful fairytale has a happy outcome because like Cinderella this beautiful princess has prevailed and shown her true beauty to the World. My Sweet Boutique ( MSB ) is one of Sydney's hottest food trucks and it specialises in waffles. They open to the public Wednesday - Sunday and serve across from the Enmore Park. The Food Truck is beautifully decorated by lots of nice food isms and the whole truck screams Instagram so you better be prepared to # and snap to your hearts content and that's before and of the glorious food is even served. The Waffles come in 6 variations of flavours some of which include the 2204 and Enmore Road. The flavours favour from the flavouring sauces and fruit and nut content. The option is for it to come in a slider ($6) slab ($9) or in a mason jar ($12). Of course everyone wants the jar because it's more fun. The jar I got was 2204 which offered a combination of ice cream, smashed waffles, banana, popcorn and salted Caramel. The presentation is absolutely amazing here and it's almost a crime to eat out of something that looks that good but just try and resist. The jar comes with the option of a lid too which is cute if you want to keep the jar and try DIY job on it later. Also on offer here is the famous Nutella names Jars. So basically you get a personalised jar stacked with waffles and cream on the top and inside gorgeous Nutella and ice cream on the inside. It's an absolute must for anyone that wants to show off to their friends. The staff are extremely friendly and happy to assist you with recommendations on the best selections. My Sweet Boutique is a gorgeous food truck that is definitely a piece of gold that Marrickville is happy to keep for themselves because these place would go off anywhere because my friends this place is an absolute diamond.

Crepes are a popular item on menus around the world and many places do their own version of this…read moredish. Where can you get some quality Crepes in Sydney, you may ask? Crepe House Earlwood is the place! It is easily accessible, being only a few minutes drive from the King Georges Rd exit from the M5. The Crepe House is doing their version of Crepes, both sweet and savoury. Their Greek style crepes are a good light meal option. This place has a great atmosphere with bright and bubbly staff, a good social space, with many groups catching over a coffee and a bite to eat. The setting is relaxed with a good mix of background music. The decor has a slight industrial feel, with tap fittings converted into lights, cement beams and exposed brick. Not only do they make great crepes, the crepe house also accomodates coffee lovers, no matter what the weather with traditional Greek Iced Coffee called Freddo's, a really good iced coffee, just add sugar to taste. There were also plenty of other drinks to keep you content; milkshakes, iced chocolates, thick shakes and even imported Greek iced tea Tuvunu, which was very refreshing on a hot day. The menu showcases a vast array of crepes and waffles, both sweet and savoury. The savoury crepes were all very tasty and named after Greek gods, our favourite was the Atlas, a thin crepe filled with a generous amount of chicken, feta, mushrooms, baby spinach, shallots and laced with their delicious special sauce. For pescaterians, there is the Poseidon of course. A good flavour combination of salmon, avocado, baby spinach shallots and tomato. For something meaty, the king of the gods Zeus is your pick. A meatlovers crepe stuffed with mozzarella, double smoked ham, bacon, pepperoni, cabanoss, tomato, feta and BBQ sauce. Their specials menu featured a few great omelettes, including the one we tried with ham, cheese, spinach and mushrooms if you weren't keen on a crepe. They can also adapt any of their crepes to suit gluten free diners. The desserts were superb, from the start we had our eye on the waffles, topped with banana cinnamon, madagascan vanilla bean gelato, walnuts and their maple syrup and this certainly did not disappoint. Their adaption of Greek dessert Bougasta was also a unanimous favourite. An amazing Greek custard, icing sugar and slithers of roasted almonds. The light fluffy panckes with ricotta, fresh berries and real maple syrup was another great option as was the white chocolate, nutella caprice biscuit crepe, named after the owner Christina's daughter Antigone. This is top spot to visit for socialising and for a bite to eat at any time of the day. All of the menu items were delicious, the staff were also great and made for a very welcoming atmosphere. It would be impossible to leave this place not being happy and content.
