The foodie I am I had to try some even though I was full from my pho I just couldn't resist! I ran out in the pouring rain and got myself two tacos the beef head and the stomach. Both were delicious! The tacos are authentic and the customer service friendly. Tacos had a lot of meat. I also ordered corn Mexican style on a stick very good as well. Total was $7 . They also have a featured item of the day such as Mandarin Shrimp Kabobs (which were awesome). The Cuban is a solid sandwich. The fish tacos are awesome; my girls love to get them. For me the star of the show is the Shrimp Po'Boy. A lemon aioli, fresh greens and tomato top the shrimp on a fresh sandwich roll. With a nice bread-to-filling ratio it leaves me satisfied but not stuffed. I love, love, love this sandwich. What makes this truck stand out beyond the great food is what I love about all my favorite trucks and restaurants, the crew running it. Tiffany, Sherwin, and Sean are really good people who are genuinely happy you have decided to come to their truck to eat. Give them a try and enjoy.

Last week I saw them by Bally's at University and Dunlap, in front of Sun Foods on University just east of Dale, and on University between Victoria and Lexington. The lady who owns the truck told me that they are planning on moving west of 280 in the near future, but they encourage calling ahead to find out where they are and to place an order for pickup. Now, for the best part - the food. The delicious, amazing food. Three styles of tacos (soft shell, Deep-fried American-style, and Border/Mexican style), burritos, tamales, quesadillas, three meats - choose from ground beef, chicken, or pork - and all available with rice and/or beans. The Border tacos are my absolute favorite. Two corn tortillas with meat, onion, and cilantro, and a lime to squeeze over the top. There is hot (red) sauce, or mild (green) sauce and, although I prefer the spicer hot sauce, the verde sauce goes really well with these tacos. I have recently started ordering the carnitas (pork), and it is outstanding - roasted, shredded, and perfectly seasoned. The food is a little more expensive than Taco Bell or Taco John's, but there is absolutely no comparison - this is real, authentic, homemade Mexican food, with real meat and fresh toppings, all made to order. I think I could eat these tacos everyday and never look at another fast-food taco again.

Parking is more difficult with all of the foot traffic with Great Moon Buffet and it's a smaller parking lot but we discovered the best, most flavorful Mexican paletas that I haven't seen anywhere else. It carries some basic grocery items and looks like it once had a deli in the back but the shelves aren't super stocked. Probably not a place I'd think of if I needed groceries or produce but I'd probably stop back there again for those Tejanita paletas.

Parked in a small lot on Lake Street, it's bright green color is hard to miss. No frills here so don't expect anywhere to sit, bathrooms, or any over the top customer service. This is street food truck dining at its best. Walk up, order and get the hell out to make room for the next person in line. There are only about 8 things on the menu (such as Tortas, street Tacos, Burritos, etc.) with several different choices of fillings. I do like that there are several fillings that are not commonly found such as Cabeza, Lengua, Longaniza and Tripe. My work week always improves when I can get some head, tongue, tube steak, or guts in my lunch! Walking up to the side of the truck, placing my order and then receiving it out the side window pass-through kind of feels like using a clandestine vending machine that distributes offal. I always seem to get the same thing, which is a burrito, because they are really tasty. They aren't the cheapest in town ($8.00) but they are huge and filling and Taco Bell this is not. I think the reason I really like this place is their addictively hot green salsa. It reeks of jalapeño and avocado and will really make your taste buds pay attention. They take cash or cards and there aren't any seats so plan on eating in your car or taking it somewhere else. I'm not a fan of soda but if you are, they have several Mexican ones including Mexican Coca Cola on offer. This operation would never survive in white-bread suburbia but it is a great example to me of how great and diverse the food scene is in the urban city.
