We saw a bull shark, three dolphins, and an alligator sunning himself by the waters edge a little further away. The pelicans seem kind of aggressive, so just be careful. Huge fish everywhere in the water! Nice areas to BBQ and picnic, but I saw no grills, so you will have to bring your own. The restrooms are closed, but there are two port-a-potties in an enclosure in the middle of the marina parking area.

The park features a natural…read moreriver or pond that's great for swimming--whether you're bringing your pup for a splash or planning to take a dip yourself. My dog absolutely loves it! I can toss his toy into the water, and he joyfully retrieves it every time. The park also has scenic trails and picnic benches, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful outing. Just a heads-up: the path down to the water can be a bit slippery and muddy, so wear sturdy shoes and skip your best outfit. Bug spray is also a must, especially if you visit during warmer months. I'd recommend going during off-peak hours for a more tranquil experience, but even when there are more people, everyone has been friendly, and it never feels overcrowded. Bohemian Park is not just a dog park--it's a great place to enjoy nature and relax. Gravel and dirt parking too btw.

The boat launch is directly next to Cafe Del Rio Mexican Restaurant and you can see the USS Alabama across The Causeway on the other side. During the summer, it is very busy & you can see alligators sunning themselves nearby in the tall grasses. I believe this boat launch gives access to The Mobile-Tensaw River Delta. Mobile Bay is very shallow. Also a good point for kayaks and rafting. It is known locally as a very good fishing spot, but the pier sign says no crabbing or fishing from the pier. I see a lot of retired fisherman come here, they bring a lawn or deck chair and fish more behind the parking area near the water.

There are restrooms and benches and a very nice brick pathway along the edge of the water. The pier does extend out quite a way. The day we were there was blazing hot, so the walk to the end of the Pier seemed to take forever, but at the end there is some shade to make it all worthwhile. From the pier parking lot you could drive over to the beach area. There is a booth where you need to pay to enter the beach area, however when we were there, no one was working the booth. The beachfront is fairly long, and seems very clean. We weren't there very long, but we enjoyed checking it all out.
