She is the best doctor you could find. A doctor who is direct and straightforward. Doctor who find even slightly of the risk. I was on verge of early preclypsia, so doctor use to send me for BP monitoring twice a week and once a week I use to meet doctor due to high risk. Doctor was so clear that I will deliver the baby one month in advance considering my earlier labor, but I insisted to keep my C-section towards the end of 9th month. When I went to different center for my scans during my 8th month, they said u need to be delivered now. They called Helen Matthews and my little baby Yara was out. Trust your doctor they know the situation the best. If I was at any other doctor I am not sure I would have been observed so closely. I owe a lot to you doctor. You are the best!!!

This is the last baby you delivered for me! my 4th c-section. No pain, went home the next day! We love you Dr. Matthews!!!

Dr. Matthews delivered 2 of my babies. She is one of the best Obgyns and Gyn Surgeons in the Bay Area. She is brilliant, extremely technically skilled and looks out for us moms and our babies! We are so lucky to have her in our community. I'm also a physician so you can imagine, I know what it takes to be an amazing doctor and surgeon. She has it all. You can trust her clinical judgment. She has the hands of God to me and I just adore her! Thank you Dr. Matthews for helping me with my pregnancies and for always being there for me!

She made a stressful process very very smooth for us . She is very kind, professional, incredibly knowledgeable, very sharp, thorough and has an amazing personality and also has a great sense of humour ! All her staff are also very kind and organised. She was the bright light in our dark infertility battle and gave me hope in my hardest times .She is truly the best in her job. She helped us having a baby and brought so much love and faith to our lives. We truly believe that she is a God sent. We can't thank her enough.

As a huge fan of palindrome numbers, I figured review #999 should be something out of the norm of…read morerestaurants and boba shops. Something that we struggled with for a while due to age was infertility. We had actually seen several fertility specialists during this long journey, and have gone through 3 rounds of IVF (2 mini's and 1 conventional) as well as an IUI. Although they were all unfortunately unsuccessful, we discovered that not all fertility clinics and doctors are created equal. While we found that many doctors take a very traditional, rigid and cookie cutter approach to treatment. Focusing more on luck through repeated attempts, Dr. Aimee was much more focused and tailored in her regiment. We always felt informed during this process, and confident in Dr. Aimee's recommendations. And unlike other clinics, we were always able to get ahold of Dr. Aimee directly. Instead of communicating with a nurse who would then pass the message along to the doctor if they felt it needed escalation. Along these lines, we were always shocked at how quickly we were usually able to get a response from Dr. Aimee. Sometimes even late at night. We often joked that Dr. Aimee probably doesn't sleep. Our only complaints about going with Dr. Aimee revolved around a few issues: 1) The initial application process to get a consultation with Dr. Aimee was lengthy, difficult, and required a lot of chasing from my wife due to poor follow-up and communication from the office. The individual handling review and processing of new patient applications would often go awol for days on end after sending out limited communication. 2) Billing was oftentimes not very clear and created a need for us to meticulously examine our bills line by line to ensure accuracy. 3) Dr. Aimee does not accept any insurance so 100% of the costs will be out of pocket. In addition, her rates are substantially higher than other clinics. Although we were ultimately unsuccessful with IVF, we were eventually blessed with a miracle baby through natural birth. Despite this, we would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Aimee to anyone looking for fertility care.

He has great bedside manner, gives his full attention, and never rushes the visit. After my longtime doctor retired, I struggled to find a new one and was hesitant about switching to a male doctor -- but choosing Dr. Shammout was the best decision. So I asked Dr. Shammout what my options were, and with his advice I decided to proceed with a hysterectomy. I read so many horror stories on hysterectomies that I actually freaked out and postponed the surgery. Through it all, Dr. Shammout never pressured me, he was kind and reassuring, telling me that my concerns were valid, but also putting my mind at ease. I finally got brave enough to do it and had the hysterectomy a week ago. I had a robotic assisted laporoscopic hysterectomy. I can't say enough nice things about Dr. Shammout and his entire care team. They are very responsive and helpful, and he did an amazing job on my surgery. I am feeling great and really have been since day one. I had a little pain and soreness over the first few days, but that is to be expected. Now, a week out, I don't even need Tylenol. The hardest part has actually been forcing myself to rest and recover for a couple weeks because I feel so good. I credit this amazing recovery and easy process to Dr. Shammout's expertise. He's a great surgeon and also very kind and genuine- a rare combination! I highly recommend his office for your OB/GYN needs!

I definitely would not recommend Dr. Eyvazzadeh. I had gone in for an appointment last May just…read morefor a consultation/office visit. He spent about 10 min talking to me and made me very uncomfortable from the beginning. Afterward, he had decided I needed to do an ultrasound even though I had already done one recently within the last few months, which I did mentioned to him. I had agreed to it at that time and looking back I shouldn't have. He was really rough during the trans-vaginal ultrasound hurt a lot (note I've done over a dozen trans-vaginal ultrasounds in the past and they should not be this painful). Not only that but he also made rude, unnecessary and unprofessional comments during the ultrasound about how much fecal matter there was. In the end, he concluded everything looked fine, which of course it would because I had just done an ultrasound a few months prior. My guess for this extraneous ultrasound is that he wanted to collect more money from me and my insurance. The doctor has been trying to collect money for this procedure and his office has been mailing it to the wrong address for the last 8 months until now that he finally got right mailing address. And they are threatening to send this bill to "collection services" because I haven't paid. I don't understand why they couldn't have called me to settle the bill. Either way, I would definitely not recommend this doctor if you are looking for a kind and caring professional doctor with a good team, this is not the place to go.

Reasons: -Reviews are spot on; he is extremely old school. Before even doing an exam, he brings you into his office and sits you down at his desk and goes over his little questionnaire that could have easily been done during the exam or online beforehand. -I was under the impression that he was part of the John Muir network (see: https://www.johnmuirhealth.com/fad/doctor/profile/1881702462), in which case I would have been able to see my records online. NOT the case. ALL of his records are paper only. What year is this?? What happens if the office burns down? -When I asked him a question, he abruptly cut me off and said "we're getting to that." Um OK then buddy, on your terms... -Staff was rude. When I asked about online access they seemed utterly confused. They told me to call if I needed something. What?? -I waited quite a while even though my appointment was the first of the day and there was no one else in the waiting room. -Several weeks afterwards I received a bill of almost $300. Yes, my insurance is terrible but it also states that prenatal appointments are "covered." After several calls to them and an appeal to my insurance company I was proven wrong; apparently they coded it as a routine checkup to "determine pregnancy." I'm confused yet again; I already determined my own pregnancy via a home test. This was my first prenatal visit. But no, they duped me and I still owed it. Almost a year later, and I am still beyond angry. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Even if the drive is longer, deliver at John Muir instead.

From my first appointment with him, I felt heard. He listened to every concern and acknowledged my anxiety throughout my pregnancy, always calming my nerves. I had a couple of ER visits due to nausea, and he made sure to call and check on me and baby afterward each time. I had even scheduled my induction for the day he would be on-call because I wanted him to deliver my baby. However, baby decided to arrive on her own five days early, and he wasn't able to deliver her. Nonetheless, thanks to him, I had an amazingly smooth second pregnancy and delivery. I'm done having kids, and I'm sad I won't get to see him often. I wish he had been my OBGYN for my first pregnancy, but I will continue seeing Dr. Nguyen for my other gynecological needs.

I had been in antepartum at Hoag for a little over 2 weeks due to a short cervix. He and I discussed my situation and then went about our day as my stay had been uneventful one thus far. Little did we know how the day would transpire. Long story short, my water ended up breaking early that afternoon and Dr. Nguyen delivered my twins via C-section. Although I had only met Dr. Nguyen that morning, he brought such a good calming presence that I was at ease being in his care. He even made it a point to find and let my mom know after the surgery that the babies and I were just fine. We were lucky enough to see him again 11 days post delivery as he stopped by the NICU to check in on us and the boys. That alone is enough to show the type of doctor and let alone person that he is. I could not recommend him enough and am so thankful he was the OB working that day.
