Dr. De Coninck is a wonderful doctor and I would full heartedly recommend her!…read more She is extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive. Unfortunately, the only problem that makes it hard to see her is the amount of patients and the lack of dermatologists in PAMF, causing scheduling an appointment with her to takes about 5 - 6 months.

Dr. DeConinck is knowledgeable, friendly, honest, & will give you the medical terms & terms that are more understandable as well. I've been going to Dr. DeConinck for so long because you know what? There is not just a quick fix for acne. If there was, that would be odd & probably not healthy. In the beginning I tried Proactive, Differin, antibiotics, seaweed mixtures, Obaji, & so many products. Dr. DeConinck did not give up on me! I'm glad she was attentive & always knew what I had tried, for how long, what I did & did not like & what I should try next. Finally she suggested Accutane. I was excited but nervous since it's such a powerful medication. So I decided in 2009 to give it a go! I've had horrible acne since I was in 3rd grade & had to change school multiple times; 6 times to be exact from 3rd to 12th grade. I could not stand being bullied. Accutane saved me! I had acne everywhere! :( The only con I could say Accutane has is if you're a female since you need to go through extra precautions ect. & lab tests every month & appointments every month. But 4 sessions of Accutane later I'm acne free (knock on wood) & I'm much happier now! Side note: People think & say that Accutane causes suicidal thoughts ect. I would disagree! The 2-3 month of Accutane your acne does get worse, like horrifically worse but then clears up. I think during that time users think they will never get better & then they get depressed. Dr. DeConinck can be pretty busy sometimes & it's hard to get an appointment but keep that appointment & let her help you. She's the best & you will have radiant healthy skin that lasts.

I had my first appointment here at the California Skin Institute in Sunnyvale, CA yesterday and…read morejust wanted to share my experience. I arrived and was checked in and had to complete some information on the iPad. I didn't have to wait long before someone called me to head back to the exam room. While in the room the lad họ who took me back yanked my iPad out of my hands and placed it on the counter and said I could finish it after. I think her name was Renee or something. So she asked me what I was there for and I told her I had bad eczema all over my body and ao she left and came back with a gown and told me to put thìs on with the opening in the back. So I barely took off my clothes and folded them the doctor came in and I was a bit shocked that no one knocked and even asked if I was ready. I closed the curtain thinking they'd know I was still potentially changing. I was nearly completely naked and was in shock the doctor and assistant just came in so abruptly. The doctor asked me if I needed a few more minutes, all I could say was could I get some privacy while holding onto my pants and covering myself with it. So the two left and I finally got into the gown and sat down and waited. It was a short while before the doctor and the assistant came back but I just sat there and waited. When the doctor came she took a look at my eczema scabs and scarring but she seemed to be very hands off. No gloves, no real examination, especially in the private area which I pointed to with my gown gently pulled up. Just a quick glance and letting me know which medication she was going to order for me. At the beginning of the meeting she asked me where I was seen previously and maybe I was no longer going to my previous dermatologist, so I don't know what her intention was to ask me that but I told her anyway and nothing really happened. The doctor spoke with me while the aid sat on the stool behind the curtain and was doing something on her iPad. Overall, the experience was more positive than negative. The doctor turned out to be really nice, the aid did her best to be professional (although still a bit pushy), and the staff member at the reception desk who helped me before and after my visit was good too. She was patient and friendly, and helped me get through the iPad questions and got me on my way. The office was also nice and clean, had cute figurines and trinkets placed into the built in wall shelves that gave the office a more personalized feel. It was my first visit and everything seemed to have gone well and hopefully it will stay that way.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Emilia Gonzalez Torres, a medical assistant at the…read moreSunnyvale location. Throughout my interactions with her, she had a rude tone and a bad attitude that came across as dismissive and extremely unprofessional. I was trying to obtain important information about my test results and treatment, but I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously. While discussing my medical test results over the phone, she laughed, which I found completely inappropriate given the seriousness of my medical concerns. I also had difficulty getting follow-up regarding my tacrolimus prescription after my pharmacy contacted the office about the required approval. I had to call numerous times myself to make sure my medication and other medical matters were being addressed. After another staff member hung up on me while I was asking about my test results, I asked Emilia for the information needed to escalate my complaint. I had to repeatedly ask for the office manager's full name and the supervisor's contact information. When I asked Emilia to spell the supervisor's email address so I could confirm that I had it correctly, she laughed again. Patients should not have to repeatedly chase a medical office for prescription and test-result follow-up. They also should not be met with a rude tone, bad attitude, dismissiveness, or unprofessional behavior when trying to discuss their medical care. My experience with Emilia Gonzalez Torres was extremely unprofessional and made an already stressful medical situation unnecessarily difficult.

I figured I would book for facial with Jassi and call to let them know I wanted a chemical peel. Day before my appointment, they called and confirmed my appointment and confirmed my chemical peel and I was so excited! I came in the next day extra early just incase there was any forms to fill out but they just asked for my name and let me know they will be with me shortly. Soon after Jassi came and got me and took me to the room and she was so warm and welcoming!! She explained the entire process of the chemical peel and even told me about Diamond Glow which would only enhance my chemical peel and explained that process and benefits as well. After thinking about it ( for about 30 seconds) I decided to add the Diamond Glow to my Chemical peel. I'm so glad I did because it was so relaxing and I could just feel myself falling asleep because Jassi was so gentle and would always make sure I was doing okay. The chemical peel process was as expected, it burned but that had nothing to do with Jassi, she gave me the fan before the process and turned it on the highest setting. Overall, I will be back for another treatment and I'll bring my family with me!

I had a really exceptional doctor before but she moved to another state. Like most reviews say, Dr. Yeh is fast paced. I like her because she's knowledgeable and although she's fast paced, I have never felt rushed. She addresses your issue and then she asks you if you want her to look at anything else. She even checked my back. She does not accept new patients, only by family referral. That is how I got in because at the time when she was accepting new patients, I found her for my parents. Then several years later I was accepted as a new patient because my parents were patients there.

Instead of asking what I eat, what is my skin care routine, and what she recommends me to do, she stated I should do chemical peeling once a month with her, which is 200 dollars. It ruined my skin barrier and I started to break out even more, it was the worse acne I ever had. She stated it was purging, but this left so many scars on my face, and previously my skin was alright. I came in to get my acne scar reduced since I had a few in high school.. and my skin use to be so clear people as people would mention that I was glowing...
