I asked around some friends and family, and Gatherings was among the recommended options. I sent in a note indicating my wife likes, "loose, organic looking arrangements with some unusual flowers." The next day, I got a call from Lisa. She was more than happy to help. She asked if I had any more requests, and I just asked her to make something that she herself would like. When the arrangement arrived, my wife could not have been more thrilled. She loved the variety of flowers, and the feeling of a personal touch that had gone into selecting and arranging them. As a husband who isn't skilled himself at picking out flowers, I highly recommend Lisa and Gatherings.

They have been so easy and organized and every idea they have comes from the heart. We haven't had to change a single thing and trust them with every little detail. Recently, my fiance and I had to make the decision to postpone our wedding due to covid-19. I fully expected the change to be very stressful, but they have made it stress-free and very relaxed. Kendall has gotten in contact with all of our vendors quickly and easy and we have been able to lock in everything again within a few days of switching our date. Bless her. I couldn't have asked for an easier process. I love them so much and will continue to use them for every little event I need from here on out. Not only are they great planners, but great friends too.

Katy did a phenomenal job getting everything together, keeping us on track, and securing amazing vendors! We're also both lawyers and are used to things being well organized, but Katy consistently went above and beyond. We also do not live in Chicago, and Katy made it so easy to get everything done remotely and be our eyes and ears on the ground. The biggest benefit of working with Katy and the Christine Janda team, however, was that they make truly beautiful events! Katy and Giora created such a beautiful space for our wedding reception with their floral and design expertise, incorporating Chicago wildflowers and our backgrounds into the venue at the University Club of Chicago. The captain on staff at the University Club even told us at the end of the night how it was the most beautiful reception he had seen at the Club, and he had worked over 200 weddings there. We're so grateful for Katy for bringing our special day together and making it so perfect!

I was on the fence about hiring a…read morecoordinator, but planning a wedding in Chicago from Denver is no joke, and I decided a little help wouldn't hurt. What I got instead was A LOT of help. Jordyn was professional, kind, incredibly detail oriented, put out every single fire that came her way (usually without me even noticing), and absolute pleasure to work with. I was already feeling so happy with our decision but there were two things that really took me over the edge. In general, I was a pretty relaxed bride and had virtually no special requests except: I wanted to walk down the aisle to a very specific moment in a very specific song. Jordyn heard the song twice at our rehearsal and somehow did magic math to figure out how to space the bridesmaids so I would walk out at the perfect moment -- and it was perfect. Second: I was famished after our ceremony and hadn't told anyone, but like clockwork, the second our last picture was taken, Jordyn arrived with an entire TRAY of apps for my husband and me. Right after our first dance, she arrived with a cocktails without being asked. Not only is this lovely lady wonderful and hardworking, she's also the cutest and the funniest, and it made me feel like I had a trusted friend working the operations department on our wedding day. Three words. Patty is AMAZING!…read more Patty of Pastiche Events made the experience of planning and executing my sister's bridal shower a dream! I live in Portland, OR and happened to come across Pastiche Events while searching for someone to help bring to life the bridal party's vision of a vintage travel theme to be held in the Chicago area. Primarily we needed help with the food aspect of the shower, but Patty was able to assist us in so many other ways that were way beyond our expectations. The shower was pretty much perfect and the bride-to-be was blown away! Patty is everything you could ever want/need rolled into one amazing package--caterer, graphic designer, paper goods creator, event designer, and in general, a creative genius! She is easy to communicate with, SUPER organized, and also understands that there is a little DIY in everyone and manages to incorporate everything into an amazing event. Patty takes an idea and massages the little details, gives input and readily checks in with the client for feedback. She provides all of her services while being relaxed, incredibly prompt and professional, and making sure that the client is happy {think a younger, hipper, more laid-back version of Martha Stewart}. Her food is delicious and impeccably presented and there is attention to detail in every aspect of her planning. I hope to work with Patty again in the future! Pastiche Events is a Chicago land gem in the event planning/catering world. Patty is worth every penny (and more!). I really don't think that there is any comparison to the unique, personal, and creative experience that you will have planning your affair with Pastiche Events.

You have to hire a separate draping company, linen company, florist/design, and lighting company. Drish Couture Events introduced to me to Shaadi Creations and there was no looking back after meeting Sonal and Mayank. I had ideas and a budget and Sonal and Mayank were able to create a dream wedding within our budget! At our initial meeting, Drish and I had laid out some inspirations for the Grah Shanti and Wedding but the reception was where I was the most confused after searching through endless Pinterest boards. When I mentioned Vintage Glamour, Sonal totally got what I was going for and immediately started showing me pictures and looks of ideas that encapsulated glamorous vintage. The mandap I had a picture of was a double mandap that had to be constructed from scratch at the actual venue all the way in Kansas City. They not only recreated the look but enhanced it with pops of color, floral cuffs and amber lighting that created a soft romantic glow. From the Grah Shanti was jewel toned Sabyasachi inspired. From the Grah Shanti to the wedding to the reception, Shaadi Creations took my breath away by the beauty ambience and splendid environment they created. Each event was unique and gorgeous and beyond my greatest expectations. People have said they have never seen such a beautiful wedding in Kansas City and this is all because of their creative genius and architectural design. I cannot express to you how wonderful it was to not have a single concern about the decorations being completed on time. They went above and beyond in every aspect. But now, I was planning my wedding, and not just any wedding, a covid wedding in my own backyard. Imagine your wedding day, imagine wanting to relax, but as the bride everyone asks you questions - nope not with Elizabeth. Imagine having to make random strange decisions - but instead just letting someone else do it & know it will be a-okay. Imagine coming home after your wedding to every little thing picked up, organized, locked up. Imagine being on the dance floor wanting a drink but not wanting to leave - wait suddenly theres a beverage in your hand! Imagine trying to delegate those tasks to your friends/family and GUESTS of the wedding who should be there to fully enjoy and celebrate WITH you. The best choice I have made was to give up control and give it to Elizabeth. You can trust her and her team. You can rest assured that she is aware of what will stress you out and she protects you from all of the small things that will happen (and they do) but you would never know - because BAM she just DOES it.
