My family and I experienced the WORST service with Heidi's Towing. My sister got into a car accident and since Heidi's Towing has a contract with the police department, they were the ones at the scene. We tried to take our personal items out of the car, but Gene from Heidi's Towing put his hands on my sister and pulled her out of the car telling her that she was done getting things from the car. He took not only the car keys but her entire lanyard, including our house keys and her college house keys. They were unavailable to give them back unless we drove a distance to pick them up a few days later in a small 15-minute window they had open. I asked if they could tow the car to our house 2 miles away, but Gene refused and insisted that it gets towed to their lot in Brunswick which is an extra 20 miles away. While we were waiting for the accident to be cleared, the traffic built up and someone honked to let the car in front of them know the light was green. Gene got very angry that they honked and went up to the window of the car that honked and screamed all sorts of obscenities at the driver and tried to get the police involved. While trying to pick up the car from the lot in Brunswick, Gene and his son would not accept payment by credit card, and would not let my dad and our mechanic near the car without paying them $750 in cash. Gene verbally abused my dad and our mechanic and charged at them with his fist cocked and with intent to physically harm them when my dad said he did not bring cash. Gene threatened to hurt both my dad and our mechanic if they stepped on the property again. We filed police reports with the Brunswick police department. They did not allow our insurance agents to see the car, and would not allow us to take the rest of our personal items out of the car. After they kept the car hostage for the maximum amount of days, they scrapped the car and gave us the bare minimum for it, but charged us the maximum prices for every service they provided. After they came after us with a lawsuit, we are finally free and clear of these horrible people. I cannot score this business low enough. The workers have a pattern of being unreasonably angry, intimidating, irrational, dishonest, and manipulative. It was absolutely miserable having to deal with this company. read more

Father and Son operation. Went far above and beyond in rescuing my friend and I after having an accident during a snow storm. Made us a top priority as I explained we were on our way home from the hospital following a surgical procedure. Where the ETA quoted by all other towing companies was 3-4 hours, they arrived within 45 minutes. One truck to tow damaged vehicle, and another for a personal ride home where compensation for that service was refused. They truly care about the customer. I drove off the road. It was obviously stressful. When I called they were very calm and gave me instructions of what to do while waiting for them to get there which helped with the stress. When they got there they were also very calm and professional in their instructions for putting the car in neutral and turning the steering wheel then holding the steering wheel etc as they pulled me back on the road which helped with the stress.
