The accommodations were spotless. We stayed at Heidi's Inn on Halloween weekend to celebrate Sleepy Hollow's Halloween Events. The Continental Breakfast was stupendous. I truly enjoyed the homemade delicious Oatmeal. There is such an array of breakfast items that it was definitely more than your average Continental Breakfast. Every morning there was a roaring fireplace warming the cozy breakfast area. And cozy seating in front of the fireplace where you could enjoy a second cup of their delicious coffee. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, that it makes you feel welcome. Heidi's Inn is a hidden gem, very close to the legendary Sleepy Hollow and KYKUIT, the Rockefeller Estate on the Hudson River. My husband and I are planning on staying at Heidi's Inn in the Summer and enjoying the Inn's hospitality and visiting the local sites. I recommend Heidi's Inn wholeheartedly. I happened upon this gem late into an impending snowstorm this last Sunday night... I had no idea where I was, but I knew I knew I needed to get off the road- what a great turn of luck for me! Being a lone traveler who did not intend to stop on my way back to VA from RI, I was unsure of what my options would be. The room was warm and cozy and even after the snowstorm hit into the night and all the next day, I felt safe and contained. Since I had no snow gear, the owner brought me to and from the lodge so I could partake in breakfast and sit next to the giant fireplace to stay warm. It was very hospitable and personalized to make me feel very comfortable. My husband and I hope to visit again someday when we are in the area since I could not stop raving about how glad I was that I found this when I needed to get off the roads! Stay here while biking the Empire State trail, this is a mixed use facility, with low income housing on lower level. Unfortunately while I was at dinner, someone with a key entered my room, took my cash and sunglasses. Manager looked at video and said he saw me leave but no one entered, makes me think it was an inside job. Really disappointing. Do not recommend this hotel. read more

I love this inn. I came here in August 2022 with my dad and son on a mini trip upstate. When we first pulled up I thought we were scammed because it didn't look much like photos I saw but after we checked in and were given a key to our room and I realized there were other rooms on the property besides the ones at the front entrance we were not scammed. My son and I tried swimming in the pool but it was a little too cold for both of us so we didn't stay in too long. There are little pockets of nature and woods around the property to make it look amazing. The room or suite we stayed in was very spacious two double beds (my son is 6 and still co-sleeps with me when he's with me and not his dad) so we took one and my dad took the other bed, a nice bigger bathroom. The rooms looked slightly outdated but it was still a nice property to stay on. The next morning we got a continental breakfast included. My son sleeps ridiculously late and stays up ridiculously late so he was still sleeping when my dad and I woke up in the morning to check out and pack up. We took turns going to the continental breakfast. Heidi's inn is definitely a great place to stay if you're visiting Brewster, NY. read more

What a wonderful, beautiful and perfect spot to stay. The surrounding landscape is remarkable. Each room has its own personal entrance, balcony and parking spot. It's home away from home. The best authentic Mexican restaurant literally next door las Mananitas. Eat, laughs with the bartender, get drunk and short 1-2minute walk to your perfect room. Breakfast is decent, thing is the slow cook oatmeal and the huge warm fire place. The majority of the staff are amazing. I wasn't expecting my room to be cleaned. I went out and came back to a perfectly cleaned room. They even folded my clothes. Wow If you are looking for a different experience outside of the traditional hotel this is a must stay. I'm looking forward to my next stay so I can see all the flowers and jump into the salt water pool. Heidi's in Brewster is amazing. You don't need a Hilton or comfort inn to get a safe and perfectly good sleep. Give this place a chance.. read more

It's a great family oriented stay. Clean, beautiful grounds, bbq area with picnic tables, ping pong and lastly an awesome salt water pool with a fire pit in the area! Also pet friendly with acres to roam and a trail in our woods. read more

I love this motel. Big spacious rooms.Terraced gardens for my dog to run around. This places welcomes dogs!!! Even a hiking trail head on the grounds. Pleasantly surprised. We got in late afternoon and left early. Nice layout to the hotel with several single floor building. The renovation was well done and staff was very friendly. Nice location where you can walk to a Mexican restaurant, Las Mananitas which was very good or a place called The Arch which got great reviews. Breakfast in AM from 6-10 which gives you lots of time to get in and was good. And you can park right in front of your room which made getting the luggage in easy. We were able to sit in front of our room on a patio. Very quiet in back building. read more

My family was blamed for the leaking tank on the toilet flooding the bathroom floor ruining a luggage bag. We had to fight to get our two nights refunded that we did not use due to not being taken care of after reporting the flood. read more

Breathtaking grounds. Beautiful large rooms. Amazing location the tranquility at this inn. I am usually skeptical on staying in smaller hotels, due to bad experiences, but was wrong this time. Only did we stay because there was no big name hotels available here, was glad. We really only needed 2 rooms for 1 night, checked in late and we didn't see the inn properly. Waking up to the amazing view of nature was an experience. Love how it's a small private inn, feels like a resort due to the space between buildings. You have a small porch like area, a front and back door and both had great views. A little outdated, but not in a bad way, you do use an actual key to get in. Just stayed there for 4 nights. I will admit when I first pulled up it was at night, and it was a little nerve-racking, looked old and dated, but upon entering. My room, my thoughts changed immediately. The room was immaculate, the services and amenities were perfect, the staff was outstanding, breakfast was good and overall I recommend this Inn to anyone who is traveling to that area. This hotel was amazing. New laminate flooring and new tile in the bathrooms. It's really clean and simple. The Continental breakfast was the best I ever had. Nice room, but loud highway and uncomfortable bed I stayed in Room 11 with two queen beds for three nights in October 2022. I found the room to be spacious and comfortable, with a fast-acting and quiet heater and a few nice touches, like dimmer switches for the lights. However, the buildings on the front of the site are too close to a busy Highway 22, where the speed limit is 55 mph and there is a constant roar (though the windows do a pretty good job of shutting out the sound). I recommend asking for a room in the one of the back buildings. And forget trying to turn left onto the highway on a weekday. More importantly, the mattress wins the award for the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on! As a side sleeper, I woke up 8-12 times each night to turn over. To get a feel for what it is like, put a few layers of corrugated cardboard on a concrete floor and lie down on it. Overall, I would come back to Heidi's Inn if I could get a room in one of the buildings in the back off the highway and if I bring my backpacking air mattress with me to put on top of the hotel's mattress. read more

Stayed here 7/23 -8/5. Small kitchenette and fridge were a bonus. Limited kitchen cookware and mismatched., but functional dishware and utensils. Staff was so.so. Some were very kind, and others always looked bothered On day 1 informed water being disinfected. Free water in lobby. This was concerning as during my stay nothing changed. I ended up buying cases of water to cook, drink, and for my cat. Before I left, still a strange smell. Rooms were outdated and all needs to be renovated including rugs, bedding, and towels. It served its purpose, but because only accommodations in area, appears they are comfortable with how things are. Would not stay again. read more

Yes we really liked our stay. No frills -but it had all we needed. Nice clean place. You can ask for Coffee pot. They were so nice when we locked ourself out! Lol we would stay here again. It was big and roomy , parking right next to door. Nice little toast and cereal and coffee if you want it , we had our own coffee and they gave us a coffee pot. Town up the road is cute. 3.5 stars. This inn is a good value and is close to I-84. It's located on 7 acres and it is pet friendly, however the pet fee is quite high - $40. For an inn, or motel type accommodation, I find this to be a bit over the top. The rooms were large at least and the beds seemed to be California kings. There is a fridge in the room but it was a bit noisy. There is also a flat screen tv and a table with chairs. The bed was a bit hard but the pillows were good. read more

Just got back from a weekend in Brewster and stayed here. Loved it! Although it's next to the main road, the rooms are back a bit and you don't hear the traffic. Room was bigger than I was expecting and very clean! Big closet! Service was great, very friendly staff. Had cereal and coffee for breakfast. My husband and I were in town for the opening of Daryl's House Restaurant in Pawling. A member of their crew recommended Heidi's to us as a reasonably priced option. We found Heidi's to be a great value for our money. The room was clean...comfortable bed and pillows. We had King room #46. It also had a small kitchen with a sink, range, fridge, and dinette. The fridge came in handy for us. Loved the kitschy 60s feel!! We met about 20 or so friends who also stayed at Heidi's this weekend as well. The staff was kind enough to allow us use of their common room/lobby at any time...including 1AM when we arrived back from the club. Great fireplace, too!!! The staff are more than accommodating and very nice as are the owner and his family. And the best staffer of all was the amazing greeter, Charlie! He happens to be the family's yellow lab! Can't wait to stay here again in the summer when the gardens are in bloom and the pool is open!! read more

So. My parents are awesome. They trek my daughter all over the country for me. Tonight, they had a car break down. They had cellphone service, but no internet. I literally spent the last three hours finding, and buying them a hotel room. First place (Heidi's Inn) I talked to was so inhospitable, kept asking me why I didn't help pay for the car repairs,instead of the hotel room, then said she worked for a tow company that would tow their car. I asked her why she wouldn't she call her boss to see if I can pay for it over the phone. Finally she did and I'm sure she did her nails instead. She said no and she was gonna have my parents car towed. Like what kind of service is that. Finally found them a place at Ethan Allen Hotel in NY. Spencer's freaking honored the price of Heidi's, helped me get a cab, and called the bitches hotel to let me know what her name was so I could tell the owners what a c U next Tuesday she is. DO NOT STAY HERE. They treat people very rudely. I would put zero stars if I could. I'm not calling anyone racist, but this is what I experienced. I came to the office to return my key and the first thing the lady does is accused me of smoking in the room. I did not smoke in the room, nor do I smoke because of my line of work. I told her that and then she says also I was told that you ruined our towels. I said ruined your towels, mam, I have dark skin and wear dark makeup so that is what's on your towels. Little did she know I had friends staying at the same place (who happened to be white) and when they checked out she asked them how was there stay and if they wanted coffee or tea before leaving. I was really really hurt by this encounter. I wouldn't stay here ever again. read more

The Good- The kitchen has pots and pans. Full size fridge. Spacious shower. The Bad- Dog poo near the stairs leading to my room. Being woken up @ 9 a.m because they have people drilling next door. Floors creak, I can hear what's going on next door. Small trash cans. They checked in teenagers next to my room @ 2 a.m. The cleaning lady HAS to do your room, so can't over sleep. You can feel and hear the springs in the bed. No toilet top, yes I need it. Next to a highway? It's hell to get out while having cars speeding from both ways. Oh, and it's $90/day. read more

Just to preface, I've been in MANY hotels of all kinds and flavors. SKETCHIEST. HOTEL. EVER. We kindly named it the 'Hooker Hotel" where ya might go for a good ole' fashioned murderin'. My boyfriend and I were in town for a wedding and I found this on google maps. From the pictures and descriptions as well as rate and distance, it seemed perfect. The bed was hard, the pillows were old and lumpy, the toilet acted more like a bidet and shooted whatever was in the toilet UP before flushing. Then on night #2 the electricity went out. Now, with thin walls, only gossamer curtains to cover the giant window to the outside (the thick curtains are for show, they aren't meant to cover shit), and interesting clientele roaming behind our room, we packed and left immediately. Seriously Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibe. We came back the next day to grab the few things we left in the haste and to add insult to injury, the maid had eaten half of my truffles my boyfriend had got for our 6 month anniversary. So yea, screw this place. Go to the Holiday Inn. read more

As I had said before I THOUGHT Heidi's was a godsend and I was wrong. As for the "alleged" damage I STILL, almost 6 months later have NO proof that it existed. Upon disputing my credit card and making police reports I learned that they knew the establishment very well, apparently I was not the first person to make these kind of complaints, and I'm almost positive I won't be the last. Sean changed his story several times about what these charges were for. Luckily the bank caught wind of his lies and I received half of my money back. In a Bette Davis voice she says; "WHAT A DUMP!" Honestly, for $106.00 plus tax- just for myself...no triple A discounts...my experience here was definitely not favorable. I booked based on decent reviews, and the POOL. On the last weekend of May, a very HOT day...imagine driving a long way, looking forward to cooling off with a relaxing swim...only to discover - the pool is not filled!! The host at the front desk was standing in for the owners who were away. She was apologetic...but geez, after expressing disappointment - at least offer a slight discount! There is no excuse for the pool not to be open by May 30..sorry. So that was the first negative....next? I had specifically asked about check-in time, and said I would be there right at 2:00. The room was not ready. The front desk forgot to mention it to housekeeping staff, so I waited over fifteen minutes in the heat - not wishing to walk or drive back down to the office. After the room was cleaned, next discovery? - The odor in the room was atrocious. Though now non-smoking, my sniffer could detect years of ancient, stale cigarette smoke. The stuff lingers in the very walls...top it off with zero fresh air circulating...and you get abominable stink! I immediately went to open the two small windows and one came crashing down on my wrist...it would not stay up with out finding something to prop it - I grabbed one of the dirty bolsters from the bed. There is a second door in the rooms, leading to a "balcony" - shared by the other rooms, and offering ASH TRAYS- so if someone smokes out there, bye-bye no-smoking room! Anyway, to get a cross breeze going, you have to keep both doors to the room open. I thought this might improve the smell - but I was mistaken. I ended up sleeping with the A/C on to drown out the constant road noise until after midnight. Then I was awakened at 7:00 a.m. by loud banging doors and voices next store (paper thin walls). I went to breakfast around 8:15. 'Had to ask for more half and half- as the carton was empty. The oatmeal was gone and there was no bread left for toast. So, the option was cereal. No skim milk - only whole. The coffee was good- but how I hate drinking out of Styrofoam cups! Is recyclable paper so much more expensive? 'Went back for more coffee a half an hour later...and guess what? The fridge was filled with yogurt and there were muffins and oatmeal (not quite ready yet) and croissants. I was so annoyed that items had not been restocked sooner. The rooms here are large, granted, and housekeeping does a good job of cleaning- considering the old stained smelly carpeting, bedspreads, and drapes. And now, comes the final complaint: there was not a single Kleenex in sight! Unheard of. Sorry, but that just slides this review down to one star - and if I could it would be a half star. If the rate had been around $66.00- I might not feel so ripped off. I can say one nice thing about the place: the property is pretty. It is filled with lots of beautiful trees... just watch that you don't step in the dog poop, as they allow pets (some jerks don't bother to clean up after their doggies). If you don't have much of a a sense of smell (or are a smoker), and do not object to road noise or to hearing your neighbors, you may very well like Heidi's . I, for one, will not return. read more

I stayed here last night because of family obligations in the area. I was impressed by how new and fresh the lobby was, with a ski lodge- like interior. The man working the late night shift (who looked not unlike Gary Sinese) brewed me and my family a pot of coffee upon our 10pm arrival. It was unexpectedly good coffee! A glance at the procurements for the following morning's breakfast (just oatmeal, toast, and cold cereal) prompted us to skip their free breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The room we stayed in in the building closest to route 22 was clean and sufficient. My only complaint was the thin walls that allowed us to hear the blaring tv of the door next door and the car noise from the highway. The Gary Sinese doppleganger told us they were installing flat screens in every room, and I was surpised every room had a fridge and free WiFi! read more

The attendant made us cookies. TWICE. The rooms are clean, quiet, and modern-ish. The prices are reasonable. Most impressive to me - the continental breakfast featured real ceramic bowls. Metal spoons. And real plates. It gives breakfast a more homey feeling than when served in all styrofoam and plastic. It's those kinds of little details that make the difference. It got the job done. It was not one of the best places I have stayed at but it was charming. The people at the front desk were very nice. We missed check in time and the people were so nice about it on the phone. The room wasn't the best but I was staying one night and was only using it to sleep. There was definitely a weird smell to the room but I got over it quickly. The bathroom didn't feel too clean so I just always wore shoes when entering it. I didn't even want to touch the shower. The weirdly semi frosted glass widow right above the toilet scared me into thinking everyone could see me. There were a couple of stains on the pillow cases so I wrapped my pillow in my pool towel before I slept and I didn't use to blanket. There wasn't much of a selection for breakfast so I suggest going out to a local diner or something to eat. There was a pool, an AC and TV in every room, nice employees, and non smoking rooms. All in all this place gets the job done for one night but I probably wouldn't stay there much longer than that. It feels like a motel rather than a hotel. I feel bad for sounding so mean but this place could be so great with a little more work. I'm hoping they read these reviews and work on some of the issues. read more
