Breathtaking grounds. Beautiful large rooms. Amazing location the tranquility at this inn. I am usually skeptical on staying in smaller hotels, due to bad experiences, but was wrong this time. Only did we stay because there was no big name hotels available here, was glad. We really only needed 2 rooms for 1 night, checked in late and we didn't see the inn properly. Waking up to the amazing view of nature was an experience. Love how it's a small private inn, feels like a resort due to the space between buildings. You have a small porch like area, a front and back door and both had great views. A little outdated, but not in a bad way, you do use an actual key to get in. Will definitely stay here again.

I loved the ambiance - continental breakfast.

The weather is supposed to change tomorrow but for now it's 85 degrees at 10pm and that's just not working for me. I arrived at 10:30 and I was on my way at 6:30. I have no complaints and the free breakfast they had was good for proteins and low carb. I was able to get back on my keto diet after blowing it completely in Manhattan over the weekend. I would definitely choose this hotel again and maybe next visit, I'll have more time here. [Review 18390 overall - 56 in Connecticut - 1912 of 2022.]

The sheets had clearly been slept in. I've read about some hotels not changing sheets after a one night stay but this is the first time I've actually experienced it. And at a Marriott! There were little sugar ants around the bathroom area. Not many, but they just kept appearing. When I complained the staff told me it was because they are located in the woods. Bull- - - - This hotel is old and tired. To top it off, they charged for parking. While the charge is minimal, the hotel is on the outskirts of the city, no reason to charge for parking.

Every room has been thoughtfully and beautifully decorated, the service is exceptional, and the food is delicious. We quickly felt less like guests and more like part of the family. One of the highlights of our stay was spending time with the owner, learning about the Inn's fascinating history and hearing firsthand about the dedication and craftsmanship that went into restoring this remarkable home. Walking into the Brinckerhoff Inn feels like stepping back in time. This beautifully restored 300-year-old house is a true treasure, lovingly preserved while maintaining all the comforts of a welcoming retreat. Located in the historic town of Fishkill, the Inn sits at the heart of a region rich in American heritage, making the experience even more special. The room was beautifully set up when we arrived. The tables, chairs, linens, and tabletop decorations were all arranged perfectly and looked fantastic. Erin, the Events Manager, was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process and was also present on the day of the event, making sure everything ran smoothly. Renting a private event space on a Friday night is never inexpensive, but we found the Viana to be very reasonably priced, especially for 2026. We hosted over 60 guests along with our DJ, Joe from On Fire DJs, and the room felt like the perfect size. There was plenty of space for dining and socializing, while still keeping a great party atmosphere. The dance floor was packed all night with high school graduates having an amazing time. The staff was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to load and unload our balloons, signs, and decorations through the back entrance, which made setup and cleanup so much easier. The food deserves special recognition. Everything tasted fresh and made-to-order rather than prepared hours in advance. The appetizers were hot, crispy, and delicious. The chicken was incredibly juicy and tender. Throughout both the cocktail hour and dinner buffet, guests kept going back for seconds and even thirds. Nearly every plate was cleaned. The dessert selection was equally impressive, with a variety of cakes, pastries, coffee, and tea that gave everyone plenty of options to finish the evening on a high note. Our family and guests had an incredible experience, and we would absolutely recommend the Viana Hotel for any special event. Thank you to Erin and the entire team for helping make our twins' graduation celebration such a memorable night.
