This is a nice shaded trail for those hot summer days…read more One way to access this trail is on the northwest corner of Foothill Blvd. and Oak Grove. You can park at Hahamongna Watershed Park, but make sure you get you car out of there by the time the sun goes down or you'll probably be towed. Don't park at La Canada High School either unless you have a permit. It's mainly a horse trail at this entrance so there's a lot of loose dirt similar to Horse Trail Lane. See my review on that one. The length of the trail is approximately 2.16 miles and most of it borders the residential area. You can also access the trail via the Arroyo Seco Trail which basically goes along the Watershed Park from JPL to the north and then Devil's Gate Dam to the south. You can also access the Gabrielino Trail on the east side of the wash and head northeast past JPL. Just watch out for people playing Frisbee golf. I almost got hit in the head and got yelled at when I picked it up. I would highly recommend this trail if you are trying to stay in the shade and you don't forget to get your car out by sundown.
