I absolutely love it here!! Our horse has been well looked after with safety being the main concern. The stalls are huge! There's a confidence with knowing everyone is looking out for your best interest. The staff, and even the neighboring borders have all been very helpful and courteous. read more

Let me preface this review with the info that I am not a horse person, so I do not have any biases as outside of the horse community. We have been to a few barns so i have a sense of what is good/bad. What I can tell you from an outside perspective is my daughter, who is a budding equestrian, has learned an immense amount from Myrtle Hill farm and the instruction of Kathrine "KT"Ginzton. she has competed in schooling shows and at Gold Coast and placed with ribbons. Personally, I could care less about the shows and the ribbons. What I care about is that my child is in love with horses and surrounded by a great community of caring professionals who challenge and support her. She feels at home and is excited every time we drive through the gates. Thank you Myrtle Hill Farm read more

This place is not what it used to be, I have experienced relentless bullying and harassment from members of the board. 20+ horses have left in the past month so the barns are now empty. I've been a member for six years and took lessons with the program onsite for the first two and a half years. I've made so many friends here and it's very sad to see what's come of it all. read more

Rose Bowl Riders - A beautiful sunset at RBR - Horseback Riding Near Me - Pasadena, California

Wonderful facility with wonderful people. Can't say good enough things. Sad to let go.

3 years ago I went on a search to find a lesson program for my daughter and rediscovered this hidden gem. Rose Bowl Riders & Myrtle Hill Farm has been nothing but amazing for me and my daughter. All the kids in the program are kind and supportive. They all have become family now. 24x24 Stalls are unlike anywhere else in this area. Arenas have great footing and are well maintained. Highly recommend! read more

I am reviewing the rose bowl riders business I am a former patron and customer of rose bowl riders and have recently left the facility because of the changes in management oversight care and cost of boarding my horse there as well as the likely illegal boarding contract we were asked to sign with 15 days notice or remove our horse. I and over 20 others have removed our horses. This is not personal this is a warning to unsuspecting equestrians who might wish to bring their horses to rose bowl riders to board. The cost does not reflect the care or condition of the place yes the stalls are big but in my experience it is not worth all the other red flags and negative experiences I and others have had Super cliquey not honest respectful or fair leadership towards current and former members and boarders in my experience not a good place to do business or a business to support anymore There's a reason so many stalls are empty At rose bowl riders Thrilled to have left read more

Things have only devolved at Rose Bowl Riders since I wrote my first review. The historic club has had its assets and operations stripped from it via a contested vote. New businesses have been formed by sitting board members presenting a clear fiduciary duty conflict. I attempted to join again after my preferred boarding location was burnt in the Eaton Fire and was denied membership due to my attempts to get redress regarding my governance concerns with my municipal representatives (this is legally questionable at best). Current and past board members of Rose Bowl Riders have impugned my character online when I spoke out and one even went to my personal business website and used wording from it to troll me online. It is beyond petty and completely unprofessional. A letter with over 50 signatures has been sent to City representatives regarding the numerous concerns about governance, behavior, and transparency that former and current members and past board members have. Do not board here. They also ran off their seasoned caregivers that were the best part of being a boarder here and over 20 boarded horses have recently left the facility due to an unhinged new boarding contract. One of the "trainers" at the facility is not Safe Sport Certified and I have directly witnessed him bullying young riders. read more

The boarding facility at Rose Bowl Riders is now being run by the owners and clients of the lesson program. They no longer have the best interests of the non profit established 80 years ago that was built by the membership. Board prices have risen 30-40%. I had to move my horse out of Rose Bowl Riders to another facility that actually cares about the horses and their owners. read more

While the setting looks nice, I cannot recommend this facility for boarding or training. Recent management changes and an onerous new boarding contract led to a significant number (~20) of experienced boarders leaving within a single month. There are also discrepancies between the advertised volunteer experience and reality-it is NOT all volunteer, you can't save money by cleaning your own stalls any longer but you might be able to provide labor for the for-profit training program. Management there is also possibly embarrassed or attempting to fool new clients, by not posting the new onerous boarding contract on their Wild Apricot website, as the old, cancelled agreement is still up there, as of yesterday. I strongly encourage anyone considering boarding at this facility to ask very hard questions, research public records and speak to current and especially former (we're around) boarders about their experiences before committing. read more

10/10. My kid loves it. My wife loves it. The folks are great, horses are sweet. Cant say enough how great rbr is!

this place is like a cult if you are not in with Myrtle Hill Farms, they will bully you. The husband and wife of Myrtle Hill Farms will bully people until they want to leave. Their are overworked and have physical signs of pain.. They also yell at children constantly.. I do not recommend joining this facility if you want to keep your sanity. read more

Love this place. From the moment we stepped on about 7 years ago. My daughter rode with KT and Greg for five years and they are like family. In fact, in the time that we were there we witnessed many kids taking to greg and KT like family. Kids grow up there, not only learning to ride and love horses but also learning responsibility, good horsemanship, kindness, volunteerism. It's the whole package there. We have since moved to another state but RBR is where my daughter goes first when we go back to LA to visit. They will always be family. Actually, we often marvel at KT's disposition - patience of a saint, so relaxed and chill. Always quick to smile and laugh. Can we all be more like KT? read more

Rose Bowl Riders is an absolutely amazing place! We are a family. I have had my horse there and have been a member for 14 years now. The trainers are beyond helpful and caring not only about your lessons but your horse. They also offer lessons for all ages! We have the best care for our horses and the facility. We put on all sorts of fun events from horse shows, playdays to training clinics. Our volunteers and staff are exceptional! Come on down and see what we really have to offer! Nancy Rose read more

Rose Bowl Riders is a volunteer- and membership-based equestrian club and boarding facility. They offer lessons through their school program "Myrtle Hill Farms," which is run by K/T Ginzton. It is a little gem of a place that has a few decades of history and caters to beginners as well as seasoned riders and horse-owners. We have been members since 2021, and we love so many things about the place, the community, the people and the animals, the classes, schooling shows and the fun social events. It is a really special place! read more

STAY AWAY!! My daughter is still crying from her experience here. I signed up for a lesson and it was the most awful experience. They left her alone on the horse for 20 mins and the girl who was helping her disappeared. What a strange place where no one seems to care about anything. I had no idea it was so terrible here. Shame on them. I am disgusted with them and with myself for finding such a horrible place. read more

my favorite place ever! been riding here for some time and have had nothing but the best experience. the trainers and other employees are very helpful and leave no questions unanswered! the facility is great and so are the horses. truly an awesome place. highly recommend! read more

I don't have an opinion about the riding lessons, but I will say don't expect to win an event at one of the Rose Bowl Rider shows unless you are a student of one of their few well known instructors. If you are a student of one of these instructors, you can expect to win at least 1 or 2 events, followed by an equal amount of 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc placements in other events. This ensures that everybody wins, that is unless you are not a rose bowl rider student. If your looking for a fair and honest competition, a Rose Bowl Rider Show is not for you. read more

I love this facility! I've attended several horse shows in the past few years. It's clean, organized, and well run. Their show arena is perfect for all levels of competitions. Very friendly staff and volunteers. I highly recommend! read more
