I ordered the Gehaktbal with a side of fries. The waitress said that if we get a meatball dish anywhere, it should be from this establishment. Did it live up to her claims? Not really. While I loved the sauce, the meatball was a bit too soft (I am impressed though by how the chef was able to cook this in a pan without it breaking apart). It felt like I was eating meat sauce rather than a meatball. Texture wise, it left a lot to be desired.
The boyfriend got Melanzane (it's basically like a lasagna, but with eggplant layers instead of pasta layers). To me, it tasted super bland, and the lack of texture made me think this dish was made for people without teeth. Like it was just such a soggy mess. It came with a side of salad. The salad was fresh, but I left most of it untouched as I found the dressing barely palatable. Save yourself the €17,50 and order something else.
Lastly, we tried the tropical smoothie. A bit overpriced, but it tasted very fresh.
