I asked them to postpone coming to start on my roof for a week or two because of the situation. The next day my husband came home for a break from the hospital to find roofers on top of my house. I hadn't even known they had entered my property yet. The roof itself was well done. I had a new roof within a matter of days. However, the mess left behind was ridiculous and I had to have someone come clean my yard of roofing nails, bags, some shingles, and the large antennae that they so kindly threw into my neighbors yard. I've been arguing for a year now over the job badly done and now they are still throwing a fit over the money not paid when I told them I wasn't paying anymore until we talked about what parts of the job were not done and I should not be charged for.
