The damage was limited to the door, window and the rocker panel below (but not the frame itself). It took 1 month to repair the car and during that time the communication with the shop's co-owners was extremely unprofessional and I never quite knew when my car would be ready to drive home (I lived 4 hours away, requiring planning). I spared Hupka's a bad review b/c they run a small business which can have its challenges and based on the fact the auto body work looked s sufficient BUT alas...... Less than 2 months after getting my car back, the paint is coming off along the seem of my door in big strips-cracked and broken exposing the door to the primed metal. And I would beg to guess that any slight ding to my door will incur the same outcome (I live in Boston, dings are standard). Furthermore, my Jetta has a great feature allowing you to open all 4 windows of the car from the outside with the automatic key. This feature is so great, especially on a day like today (Mar 20, 2012) when my car has been sitting in the sun for 9 hrs and it is 82 degrees outside. Sadly that feature (one of my favs) is no longer functioning. I would highly recommend seeking out a different auto shop until these guys can get their business in order in the office and certainly, and most importantly, in the shop. They really cut corners and I am just praying the work done to the rocker panel- (bondo and paint) doesn't give way. They have really complicated the situation.
