Great thrift store in Blowing Rock. Great non-profit run by the Blowing Rock women's club, and all…read moreof the profits go to college scholarships for local students. Last year, they gave over $100,000 to about 20 students. The store is staffed by a lovely group of volunteers who take pride in making a difference. They have a wide selection of items from art to clothing, jewelry, and home goods. I found a few cute items and felt good about my purchase as well. Please stop by and help this special store continue to be a success. Thanks to the lovely ladies who helped me today, including Nancy and Melissa.

The ladies who run this shop are a group of the hardest working, most creative, super friendly…read moreladies you will ever meet. I have had the privilege of donating to their store several times, and interacting with them on this level. (We drive up from Charlotte and make a day of it in beautiful Blowing Rock). The ladies of the Womens' Club of Blowing Rock are gracious, and generous with their time....ALL FOR THE BENEFIT OF HELPING LOCAL STUDENTS GO TO COLLEGE!!! If you are clearing any items from your house, or know of others doing the same, PLEASE consider donating your stuff to this WONDERFUL endeavor. They take used, unwanted items and turn them into displayed magic for a new home. It's so neat to go on their website and see all my cast-offs finding new allure for all the people who come into their shop!! They sell ladies' clothes and shoes and furniture and every other item you can imagine!!!! A friend of ours recently was selling their old farmhouse, and was willing to allow me to "rescue" things from it to donate to the shop!! It was fun, and an adventure, and it is so beautiful to think of how helping this shop, helps some kid ...who might not have a chance to go to college otherwise...start his life in such a positive way!!!!!(Wouldn't it be SO cool to meet this kid 20 years in the future, and hear just how this leg up in the world helped him achieve his/her dreams!!!!! Please donate to Village Thrift of Blowing Rock...and drop by the wonderful shop to find some treasure and meet some dear people! Sincerely, Stephanie Hutcheson

This place is horrible. Corporate needs to know about this place. Dont donate at this store! It…read moredoesnt go to help people Like it should/could Ive been in before thought id give another try, I tried to purchase an item had no price on it so the cashier (long grey haired) very rude lady wouldnt sell it to me told me to "give a an hour and came back sure" so I did come back item was gone! I was told by other associate it Sold. Sold with in hour, they knew I was coming back they didn't hold for me!!??? Two days later I seen it in a thrift antique store down the road for sale!! How easy that was to pick out what associate or her buddy to resale. I seen the same associate loading her white suv up with nice items! So whats going on Salvation army! I wont be back nor donate. Ive just read after posting on google reviews that a lot of others have had same problem. I believe in the Salv Army this store needs a true corporate person to come in and clean house of dishonest employees thats probably why that one is rude its guilty. Wants to intimidate to bully like pitch a fit so one wont come back or say anything

After spending $45 to obtain them new elsewhere we passed this gem of a location. I popped in, spent $12 to get 4 people new shirts and we later returned the others. Glad we got them... you'll likely need them if you are going to the top. It's pretty small, but good selection, good prices, nice staff, easy parking.
