After 3+ visits, the technician could not address my problems and basically said that's the way it is, unless I spend more money for a better piano. Enter Nori, who made multiple trips to get the piano into a playable shape, and since then, he's come back six months later for a piano tuning. Not only did he spend almost 3 hours to tune the piano multiple times to make sure it was just right and stayed just right, he disassembled most of the parts, so he can get into the crevices to vacuum out the dust. He reassembled the parts making sure everything was even more secure than before to eliminate all the subtle unwanted "noise" from the piano. Lubrication was also used to make sure all the keys moved smoothly like they are supposed to. I am definitely going to stay with Tin for all future piano tunings.

My mom told them they had to ask their auntie if it would be okay, in which I did say yes and told my brother that he will have to find a moving company to help move it to his house if he wants it (had no idea that there were piano movers). My brother ended up finding D & J Piano Movers, who are right out of Azusa. My brother called them on a Wednesday night and they gave him a quote right away (it cost $200 to move the piano about 8- 10 miles away from my house). D & J Piano Movers was great because they did let us know that they would be able to pick up the piano this past Monday (it would have been earlier but my schedule didn't work to be where I would be at home during designated times). On Thursday, they let my brother know that they would come on Monday between 9- 11 am. They called on Monday morning to let us know that they be arriving in about 15 minutes. They parked on the curb by our house around 8:50 am and got ready to start moving the piano out of our living room. The process was smooth and easy. I also asked them to take a box to my brother's house that held all the sheet music and music books. Overall, it was a good and positive experience and appreciate that D & J Piano Movers was able to give us a time frame to when they would arrive. And also give us a call when they were going to be on their way. And I am glad that our family piano can go on to the next generation to be used and hopefully just as loved as I had in my childhood.

The sound was not good and the piano clearly needed a lot of work. I called Jackson's Piano Service and immediately spoke with Jenny who said she could come out a few days later. She was very kind and upfront about the cost. Once they arrived and saw the piano, she immediately knew that more work would be needed and quoted me the new price. The pricing is fair and the service is incredible! The hammers had to be completely removed in order to be repaired. Jenny took these with her and returned about 10 days later.
