The inspection was a man putting a shovel in the tank and him saying it's okay. After my septic started to overflow in my yard I called to see what was happening. I was told my field lines were failing. On my invoice it said they pumped which they did not. Contacted owner and was told I would get half the inspection fee back because he had to dispose of the waste, which none was ever pumped out. Haven't heard anything since. Cannot and will not recommend, but definitely have a better recommendation if someone needs it.

All of the information I have about its business is from what the son told me. He was very polite and courteous and I believe him to be very honest. All locations are owned and run by the same people. Because of this they will drive all over Mobile and outlying areas at no additional charge. First off, know that there is a difference between an outdoor plumber and an indoor plumber. If you need an indoor plumber, I would recommend Cottage Hill Plumbing. Billy's is - again - outdoor. The business is family owned, which is always a better bet than a corporate place. For me, the son came out. Too bad I cannot remember his name. :( What I liked about him is that he seemed honest and did not try to tell me we needed new lines, which would have been in the thousands. I wouldn't have known if this were true, so that's points in his favor. The cost was 10% less than the over-the-phone estimate; the total was $225. I called about 11:00 a.m. (and spoke to the mom, who was very sweet) and the son was there by 1:00 p.m. It was quick too. I needed my septic pumped out and it took them only about 1 hour total. The same day service was free. The son was very polite and meticulous (e.g., see ruts below). He also was careful to respect your lawn. For example he did not want to park truck in the yard because he was concerned about leaving ruts in it. He gave me a detailed and informative brochure (which his sister designed), explaining how septics work. My husband always deals with this and naturally, the septic overfilled while he was out of town. So this was good learning material. All in all, based on this one experience, I highly recommend them. Final note: They do accept credit cards, but they charge a fee for their usage. I wrote a check so I don't remember how much the fee was.

Their driver pumped around some roots on one side, charging me $450 for an incomplete job. Plus $50 extra for a charge (pushing roots out of his way) that wasn't even a thing they charge for (I did get that back). I understand the roots are my issue and not a service they offer but being in the septic business for 20 yrs as this person (owner) so defensively put it when I asked the question concerning my septic being only partially emptied, why would they not recommend I call someone that can meet my entire needs so that it could be done properly the first time?? Instead they took my money without batting an eye! Insisting to me (from the mouth of the owner) that only one side has to be opened and emptied! I do not recommend them because if your ignorant of unknown and unexpected septic tank issues like I was at the start of this ordeal then they will not do what's right and they will take your money anyway. This has gotten expensive due to other issues in my plumbing and I will still need to find a company that can remove the roots and finishing pumping out the waste properly. The technician, Andy, came in after he gathered his equipment out of the truck. He looked at the equipment, and presented an estimate of the impending work that was going to be needed. Andy informed me that lighting had struck my unit and sent an electrical serge through my home. Because I have home owners insurance, Andy's company worked with my insurance company and was able to install into my home an inside and outside unit with no out of the pocket costs besides the small deductible owed to my insurance company. When I set up the appointment, the rep on the phone was courteous, helpful and well informed. I found that all of the employees I encountered were knowledgeable as well as friendly and courteous. I will definitely use SameDayAire and recommend them to anyone who needs air conditioning and heating services. Thanks Andy for keeping me informed through every step of my process. Lisa Thompson
