I have utilized Visiting Angels on two separate occasions for simple medical transportation for…read moreminor surgery procedures or diagnostic testing. The first experience was Nurse Katrina. During check-in at the clinic she had on a jacket with disrespectful curse words on the back, in a facility with young children. After my procedure was completed she picked me up playing music loudly I guess to cover up the rattling of the vehicle. When getting out the car she asked if I wanted her to make me lunch, "I said no thank you." As I reach for the door latch she locks the doors and starts talking processing her gas mileage and signing off on that. I know based off history with Visiting Angels all paperwork and billing is done upfront and closed out 1 week after service. Furthermore a patient signing off on paperwork while drowsy from anesthesia is inappropriate. I felt unsafe & comfortable in this scenario. I tried their services once again with Nurse Dasajia, she arrived a few minutes late first off. Her buttock was hanging out of her scrubs. I guess she was pregnant and didn't have properly fitted uniforms. Then when loading into her vehicle there was trash and toys on the seat, the request stated the Nurse would utilize their own vehicle for transportation. Then she acted like her keys were lost. I just said they are not on my seat then she picked them up from her lap. I guess when I did not volunteer my vehicle or help her find keys that were with her. This company needs to hire more organized, professional people, and pay them higher wages to afford proper uniforms and maintain reliable transportation. I would never utilize this poorly staffed company with low hiring standards and protocols. Nurses should be clean, well groomed, with reliable transportation at a minimum. Jon has so much knowledge in this industry, and he truly cares about his clients. I had used Girling up until last week, when my insurance switched from one to another. I had the…read moresame healthcare worker waiting for the switch. 1st - they never informed me of the switch and 2nd as a person legal blind, they told the girl, but didn't tell me. 2. On Monday, I found out that I no longer had an aid. Since I have cancer, this was a problem. 3. I finally found who to contact on my insurance, and they called Girling on Friday, to switch me over. Girling told them, they no longer had any workers available. Mind you. Their worker was volunteering her time to help me get the insurance company to fax Girling. They lied. They lied to the insurance worker, they lied to me, they lied to their employee. The woman's name is Angie who lied to me. I wouldn't recommend them. Any company that lies to their customer, their workers, and the insurance company, is not really out to do good business.
