I was so relieved to have Hunter out to have a look at my problem as he came with the solution to fix it. I felt like he took my problem seriously, and I felt particularly prioritized especially considering my experience with a plumber just days before due to my hot water heater going out. The plumber that came to the call before hunter came to save the day left an uninstalled, not-completely working unit down in my basement after taking my money. Hunter priced his services so absolutely well I just, side note, if he will take accept it, tip this man if you can! Haha. Anyways. Hunter installed the unit and realized at the end that it was not fully working. Instead of giving up or leaving me and my 2 year old with out hot water any longer, he called the water heater company, sourced the missing part, got me a warranty on the heater (I am still jaw-dropped about all of this- I could not have asked for better service, and he was kind. That goes a long way, even my dog liked him), and after sourcing and obtaining the part he still found a way to save me money by getting me a rebate on the part that was missing. He went above and beyond in a moment when he truly did not have to. I just had a plumber before him try and scam me for a lot of money to do this. Hunter did the job a million times better than anyone else actually would - and he priced it beyond fair. I cant say for sure, but I believe he even stayed past when he normally works to make sure our water tank was full. My two year old son was also incredibly grateful to bathe in his own home that evening, as opposed to us going over to our recent routine of going over to our neighbors to shower together quickly. First off, I appreciate Kaith's installing a new propane furnace in very cold weather within two…read moreweeks of our old oil furnace dying. The new furnace seems to be working great and is energy-efficient. However, there were several issues that I tried to address via phone calls and messages, and they refuse to call me back. First off, when the technician confirmed that our old furnace wasn't economically feasible to repair, we asked many detailed questions about the new furnace, its installation, removing the old furnace, etc. I asked about removing the oil tanks which were approximately half-full, and what would happen to the oil within. He said they pumped it out and while he could not guarantee it, they typically could find someone to use it and would credit me at the amount of about half the going rate per gallon. When it was time to remove the oil tanks, they pumped out approximately 300 gallons of oil, and I overhead their conversation about taking it to someone and not to waste it, so I know it was used. We did not receive a credit for it on our final bill (which we paid in full), and they have ignored multiple phone calls and detailed messages from me about this matter. So someone got 300 gallons of oil on our dime, and they have taken zero steps to address this with me. Second, they removed the pipes on the outside of the house where the oil was pumped in, but then did not concrete over them like they told me they did. I specifically asked about this after seeing the concrete over the holes where the pipes were in the basement, and they guy indicated that it was done. Well, it was not done at all (see photo). Third, I found multiple cigarette butts all over my lawn. Aside from being rude and unprofessional, I have dogs running around that could eat them and become ill. How about you just pick up your trash and not litter the customer's lawn? So while I'm pleased with the new propane furnace, I'm not pleased with their customer service at all. If you choose to deal with Kaith's, I strongly recommend that you get everything in writing before you begin the project.
