While we were thinking about things like paint color and the neighborhood, Kim was checking outlets, examining roofs, and pretty much crawling around in crawlspaces. Her attention to the little details allowed us to worry about the things that were important to us. Kim was an absolute asset when we got closer to pulling the trigger on our home. She took care of the confusing process of hiring inspectors, surveyors, and whatnot. She also walked us through the actual purchase step by step, which was super important because even though I'm a lawyer I understood .001% of what the paperwork was about. It made the process enjoyable instead of downright terrifying. I would recommend Kim to anyone at any stage of the homebuying process. Just tell her I said whats up!

I'm writing this review on behalf of my elderly parents, who recently worked with Catherine Manipon…read moreas their real estate agent. While they've chosen not to speak up, I feel it's important to share our experience so that others can make more informed decisions. To start, yes -- Cathy did handle the showings. However, communication throughout the entire process was extremely poor. It took almost a month for her to list the home, despite our family helping to clear things out promptly. My parents' home was not in the best condition, and while Cathy initially offered to help improve its appearance for the listing, that follow-through didn't really happen. What's most upsetting is that my parents walked away with less than 20k from the sale of a home that sold for more than 400k. That outcome is incredibly disheartening, and I truly believe they were taken advantage of. Whether it was a lack of transparency, poor negotiation, or just overall lack of advocacy -- the service they received was far from what any family should expect. As their daughter, I feel terrible that my parents had this experience. I believe Cathy could have done much better, and I hope this review encourages more awareness and accountability in how agents treat clients, especially kind hearted people.

With all of the realtors I've worked with over the years, she was the best -bar none. For example: She dropped what she was doing, a family ski trip, to submit my offer from the ski resort. She realized how critical timing was with our offer and structured ours so that it was accepted as the seller was about to submit a counteroffer to another buyer. Knowing that I was going to be in town, on short notice, she arranged for my inspection so that I could attend. The inspector she found was far superior to the sellers and discovered several defects that were unknown to the seller. In spite of the repair cap included in my offer, Rese negotiated professional repairs of the defects that the seller provided, far exceeding the cap. She answered all of our questions or was able to obtain answers and documentation from both the seller and HOA. Replies to my emails or calls were always promptly returned. As a bonus she and her partner Chris added a home warrant to our unit. Rese is a professional who really earns your business and trust. Do yourself a favor and work with her if you need a realtor.

They really listened to what I was looking for, were cognizant of my financial limitations yet allowed me to dream big, and were so patient in answering my thousands of questions as a first-time home buyer. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be able to buy a house in this economy (much less in Tahoe), and yet Janie found "the one" for me and helped me navigate such a complicated process with grace and patience. Even my neighbors knew how great she was, as she helped them buy their homes, too. I've been in my house for over a year now and I'm just as thankful and giddy as Day 1. Even after buying the home, Janie and her team have been helpful -- recommending trusted handymen, plow services, designers, and other local workers over the past year. Highly recommend the whole Sharp team for anyone and everyone looking for a home in Tahoe!

She doesn't do a very good job as a seller's realtor because there are many communication breakdowns. I stopped taking her phone calls because every time she told me something over the phone it was wrong. She instructed title to close and I still had property in the house. I have text messages where I told her not to close because I'm not out of the house. From the recording time I can tell that she told the title company to record. After I instructed her not to do it until I contact her because I had property in the house. Literally she sold my house and the new owners could have came in at that time and kick me out not allowing me to get my stuff out of the house. She has volunteered for so many things. They do a veterans thing. I asked her three times what do you do for the veterans she tells me we do lots of volunteer work what do? you do the volunteer work oh we do lots of volunteer work she goes round and round in circles.
