I don't know the name of the gentleman that cut my hair...he wasn't very talkative, but he had the station in the back on the left. Maybe I'm weird, but getting a haircut in a barbershop should take 10 minutes, tops. I was in that chair over 30 minutes. I have sh!t to do, people to see, places to go...I don't want a "style" or a salon job, I just want to make my hair shorter than it is. Is that too much to ask? You may wonder why I offer four stars if I seem so disappointed. It is because I *really* liked the resulting cut. So did my beautiful lady. But I didn't like the time involved and damned near bleeding for the cause. Turn off that damned TV and just cut my hair. I might go five stars after another visit, if it doesn't take forever and I don't have to watch an entire episode of Traffic Court (how is that even a flucking show?) while it's getting done. Again, nice cut, but it took entirely too long. A cut is $15, BTW. Or maybe $12, but there was definitely a sign stating that a haircut would cost $15 soon.

They reserve on the hour and the half hour. Says they can get to me in an hour and 15 minutes. I went somewhere else. Last time they double charged me. Time before they lost my reservation. I try to spend locally, but this is not the place. I gave them 5 stars last year on my first or second visit. I used to be Vice-President and manage small businesses for an investment company. I would have called in other staff, fired two, and set up training sessions for remaining staff. I would have called the President of the Company, told him of the changes and how I would oversee his franchises better. I would then provide an action plan to correct the sloppy way I had allowed this business to operate. This could be, and maybe it is a gold mine, but it is run like a junk yard. One star because I cannot leave less. P.S. my haircut took about 9 minutes at another place, looks great, cost 60% as much, and I tipped $20. I get a haircut 11 times a year. Revenue lost: $495.00. Tips lost: $220. Multiply that by how many customers you are losing... I am not the only one.

From everything I've been told, she looks out only for herself. Several of the women who worked there were loyal for over eight years, yet were never properly taken care of. The shop was in constant chaos equipment didn't work, issues went unresolved, and nothing was fixed until very recently. What crossed the line for me was learning that they threatened to fire someone and told them they would ruin their chances of buying a house just days before closing, simply because they suspected that person was considering leaving. Yes, Florida is an at-will state but trying to destabilize someone's life over a hunch is beyond wrong. I will never support an establishment that doesn't take care of the people who keep it running. Loyalty matters. When someone gives over eight years of their life to a job and finally reaches their breaking point, that says everything. I'll be supporting them and following them wherever they've gone next.
