OMG! Awful. The biscuits were rocks! It's just food from Kwik Trip. Go to the warming racks the food is fresher.

I had an outstanding experience!…read more Starter: Cherry Wood Bacon Wrapped Chicken Strips, this could have been a meal within itself! Entree: I substituted the NY with the Ribeye, with Creamy Blue Cheese and Panko Crust - came with a loaded baked potato, and green beans. The Ribeye was a fabulous cut, the best that I have had within the area and the green beans were fantastic! Service: Top Notch! Peyton was a phenomenal bartender and very attentive server. Bonus! They have Blanton's!

We even checked their online menu and made reservations only to arrive with a whole new menu to look at. They're no longer serving prime or smoked back ribs. A lot of customers were disappointed when they were given the new menu. We stuck it out and got our usual appetizer (stuffed mushrooms - a lot meatier than before. No complaints!) My husband got the smoked sampler (pork chop, pulled pork and burnt ends) , that was alright. Sauce was a bit too sweet for us. Pork chop was cooked to perfection! Kudos to that! I got the crusted salmon - which was disappointing because it was over cooked and soggy with no seasoning. Our side veggies were under cooked and not seasoned at all. We did get the cheddar potatoe soup. It wasn't what it used to be - lacked cheddar so it was just more so potatoe soup. My waitress forgot my baked potatoe but i was too full from disappointment that i didn't bother to ask for it. Service was good. It was a steady crowd. Not too busy. Just wished the goodies from the old menu stayed.

I think a 3.5 star would have been what I would give if I could give a half star. First off, we…read morewalked in and got the last table. They were busy as it was a state wrestling weekend. Service was a bit slow and our kids kept asking when the food would get there. I had to keep reminding them they were busy. They stayed busy playing the free pacman game in the back. Love that it was free. The restaurant itself has so much more potential with the 80s vibe than what they had. It was a bit rundown but overall fun to tell my kids about. They had some where's Waldo prints in each booth and some 80s trivia cards. The food itself was average. Nothing spectacular but decent. I had the pancakes with the yogurt. Kids had waffles and bacon.

I went mistake and eggs, unfortunately, my steak was extremely overcooked, but everything else was fine. We shared breakfast cheese curds and while I wouldn't describe them as cheese curds they were very tasty. My friend got the Reuben, huge portion and she was only able to eat half, but said it was really good. Service was OK, nothing to write home about. We stood at the front for about 10 minutes being passed by multiple people before someone finally decided to see us. The restaurant seems large, we didn't end up having any drinks, but it's nice to know they have a full bar menu if needed. Would we be back? Maybe. With so many other restaurants nearby I think I would continue exploring, but if you're looking for a simple basic breakfast, I think this is the spot to go.

So the Good, the Bad, and the Sickening:…read more The food was good once we got it. The service was not so great. The server did only what she needed to do, take the order, bring the food, bring the bill. No welcome, no thank you, no have a good night, no telling us the specials, no soda refills. Even when people came for take out she just stood at the counter staring at them, waiting for them to talk first, never said hello, never said thank you, just got their food and pushed it to them. The Sickening: We were seated where we could see the pick up counter and salad bar. Near the end of the night the server was filling up the salad bar. She was using her BARE HANDS to fill the containers. And then it really got gross... she used her TEETH to tear open a bag of hard-boiled eggs... um thanks for getting your mouth juice on the top of the bag and every egg that passes through the opening. I don't 100% blame the server for lack of food safety knowledge; management is responsible for training front & back of the house employees on food safety, there was no other employee besides the server (and cook) so they obviously just don't care, nor can they seem to afford a simple pair of scissors to cut open bags.

Furthermore, they are the perfect size, not too fat or too thin. On this visit I had a BLT which is exactly what I was craving, crispy bacon and fresh crunchy lettuce and juicy tomatoes. Yum! Yum! The ambiance is exactly what you would expect in a rural Midwestern town. It is tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. You will feel like friends when you walk out the door.
