The BEST food at a wedding reception ever eaten (said everyone!) Went to a wedding on Saturday with the fairly standard appetizers beforehand but since it was all about the family getting together, the appetizers were just fine. THEN the real food came out - and the crowd quieted right down. Chicken piccata, roast pork tenderloin , killer, I mean killer gravy, yummiest mashed potatoes and fabulous cake. On top of that the service was EXCELLENT. Finished plates removed right away, very attentive staff, in and around letting the attendees yak without interference. Very smooth. Crowd was about 100 or so guests and maybe that affected the ability of the staff and chefs to do such a great job. Size really does matter. If your wedding or affair is about this size - count on these folks to get it done to perfection. There's a lot of reasons why this place always gets 5 stars! We used Heart's Desire Catering for our wedding and could not have been happier with them! Rebecca was so accommodating and kind from the first time we met with her for a tasting through our entire wedding day. She made us feel at ease from that first day with her attention to detail on how the entire day would run and was really a part of the whole process with the staff at our venue, the photographer, the DJ, etc. We were able to put together a flexible menu of the dishes we loved the most AND we got to actually enjoy the food day of! They made sure to bring us a plate as soon as we sat down so we'd have as much time as possible to eat, and sent us home with two more servings of everything to have for later. I haven't even gotten to the quality of the food yet! Not only did my husband and I love it, but we lost track of how many tables told us "best wedding food ever" and "the food - the food was amazing!" We had a perfect experience with Heart's Desire, from the day we met Rebecca at our tasting, to the over-the-top hospitality we experienced on our wedding day. Rebecca has the most calming and joyful presence, and she and her team will go above and beyond to make the food at your wedding or event absolutely amazing! We get compliments from guests about our wedding food to this day. AND we were actually able to taste the food ourselves (which I hear is a rarity for brides and grooms!), because Heart's Desire packed an amazing to-go picnic for us to enjoy after we left the wedding. We ate every bite because a) we were starving, and b) the food tasted incredible! I got married a year ago and was very happy with my catering choice. I am a foodie and was on a budget so I wanted something tasty and affordable & Sandy was able to offer them to me. She is very accommodating & very pleasant to work with. She gave me different ideas on how to cut cost & yet offer my guests great food and experience. When I arrived at the venue after my ceremony, I was starving! Her staff quickly served me a plate of hot food so I could fill my stomach in the back room before guests started showing up. I don't remember if the food tasted good, I was too stress & tired to even notice. But so many of my guests still remember & commended on the good food a year later! Things went so smoothly under Sandy's watch. I didn't even get to say thank you before the night was over. I wish she would have given me a box of food to take home so I can actually enjoy her food when all the stress were gone & the night was over. Sandy out did herself. The food was great. My family and friends still talk about it. Got tom have the bacon wrapped dates! She made me a take home meal to try. There was a lot of leftovers but I would rather over order than run out of food at my wedding. Her staff was acceptable though. She had one lady that didn't listen to my husband and I when she went to get out food. We were not hungry at all and I asked for about a cup of the salad and I was brought an entire plate. My husband asked for a plate with just a little of everything and he got two plates that were bending in half from all the food she packed on them. If that was all that went wrong, I guess who could complain. She was so friendly and just made me feel so happy. Again.......Bacon Wrap Dates! read more

Sandy is amazing!! She was super organized and people could not stop raving about how good our wedding food was. We had over 200 people at our wedding but Sandy was able to get everyone fed very quickly. The portions were generous too. I would highly recommend Heart's Desire Catering!! read more

Our daughter and son-in-law were recently married in Louisville, Colorado. We are extremely grateful to have found Sandy at Heart's Desire Catering to cater the wedding. The food and service exceeded our expectations at every level. Beyond that, our bride and groom were thrilled with everything she did to make their special day perfect. This was my first time planning a wedding and I was so blessed to have Sandy by my side navigating me though the process. This was a large wedding with 600 guests and I had no idea where to start, but Sandy sure did! We hosted two large receptions with different themes on the same weekend. She not only helped us select amazing menus, but worked hard to help us stay within our budget. Sandy worked with the bride and groom to tie the menu into their two themes. The food at each reception was absolutely delicious, plentiful, and delivered beautifully. We had many complements from our guests and we have referred them to Heart's Desire several times already. Sandy is a delightful to work with and made our "wedding reception experience" very special. She is truly a customer service expert. Our wonderful experience with Heart's Desire is already becoming one of our family's favorite wedding memories. I should have written this review in June 2011 after my wedding, but I just signed up. My experience with Heart's Desire and Sandy was the best one I had throughout my wedding planning process. Sandy is amazing. I recommend her to everyone I know. We get compliments still about how incredibly not "wedding food" our buffet was! Sandy gave us a lot of options and even brought the food to our house to sample when we were having a difficult time making it to a tasting. The food was phenomenal and besides that, it was probably the best bang-for-your-buck factor in my wedding. We had the beef tenderloin and chicken with champagne sauce. She was very accomodating and always checking on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and the food. Even the rest of the staff seemed very nice to us. 100% recommendation! read more

Wow.. What a fabulous job Sandy and her team did on the food for our reception. We had 70 guests and decided to do heavy hors d'oeuvre's instead of a sit down dinner and what a HIT! Our guests are still raving about the food a week later. My mother-in-law even said "How did you afford her?" Sandy is affordable and creates amazing dishes. Her staff is attentive and helpful and the décor on her buffet tables looked better than I could've ever imagined. She even sent us home with the leftovers from the wedding which was so nice because we had a lot of family from out of town and we were all able to get together and enjoy the food again the day after the wedding! She did an absolutely wonderful job on everything at our reception. I couldn't have asked for a better caterer for our special day.
