Everything was expertly packed. They were on time everyday. They worked through lunch. The charges were reasonable. They went above and beyond in placing our furniture where we wanted it. In some cases even relocating at Forest. I'm hoping we do not have to move again but if we do, I will call MAC and no one else! I recommend MAC whole heartedly. .

The person/SUP I spoke to adv he would post my need for unload help and possibly a couple of the regular movers would want to do it after work as a "side job". The guy who responded to me was very agreeable to receive this "side job" and we agreed on $50 an hour per man, and This mover was going to have one of his coworkers help him. He called me back and advised me his coworker and him both would be here ready to unload my truck for $50 per man per hour. I adv it would take 2 hours at the most. 5 days before the move I texted him to make sure he still remembered and planned to assist me, as well as the day before and BOTH times he responded to let me know both him and his coworker had plans to be here May 16 between 5 and 530 pm CST. The day of the move around 4pm I still had heard nothing from the mover and sent a text to him. No response for over an hour. He responds to tell me his coworker who agreed to help is NOT responding to him. It was obvious this mover had had a change of heart and no longer wished to help me. I told him I am 60 years old and I arranged this two weeks ago to ensure this would not happen. He then texted and told me if I was willing to pay both men $150, they would come over and assist me. At same time he is texting this to me, I am leaving a message for his boss explaining what has happened, hoping he could do something to help me get this completed. THEN right as I saw the text he sent trying to extort money from me, he sent another text saying I have no one to help me and my car won't start. I responded saying, me and him would do it and asked if he could take an Uber here. He stopped responding all together. As a consequence of this mover's irresponsible attitude, I had no choice but to keep the uhaul an extra day as well as drive 57 miles round trip, to pick someone up to help me. That was at 99 cents a mile. As well as the truck fee for the extra day was $39.99 plus 28 for insurance for the extra day. SO, I had to pay $125 extra dollars as well as being stressed out extra due to this company irresponsible workers. There are a lot of reputable moving and storage places to choose from! I would avoid this company! The SUP never called me back. Hey Guys! Thanks for making an already stressful day one million times more stressful! BUYERS BEWARE!!! Kurt You can try to twist things any way you please, however WE BOTH know who is telling truth! Again you were the one who suggested posting for your workers to complete this after hours as a "side job" Macs moving and storage, Lake Geneva WI, was the only moving company I called. Do you really thing ANYONE believes your very desperate claim that I reviewed your business in error & it was meant for another business? Within an hour of leaving my truthful review on google I missed a phone call from you ( 262) 248-2400, the SAME NUMBER I CALLED initially (262) 248-2400. How would you have had my number to call me, in response to my 100% truthful review, if we hadn't spoken to set up my move? Also it is NOT slander if it is true & by the way, I ONLY STATED the FACTS! If I could show a screen shot of my call log to this forum to prove it IS YOU WHO IS LYING I WOULD BE GLAD TOO! I wont remove this review since it is true & you & your workers EARNED IT! You didn't even care about this issue UNTIL I left my truthful review! Next time just speak to the person when they call for your help & offer actual customer service maybe you won't get a bad review like you earned this time. I hope anyone reading this, also takes the time to read Lisa's review from 2021 . I posted my 100% truthful review to give people a warning as to what they very possibly may face if choosing to do business with macs moving & storage Lake Geneva Wisconsin. BUYERS BEWARE!

Having managed several successful small businesses myself, never before have I experience more…read moreunprofessionalism in my 20+ years of experience. First, their response time for getting back to you with a quote is horrible. And when I finally received a quote, it was not in writing. Second, when the day came for them to move me, they showed up late with a truck that was falling apart. Parts of it were rusting, one of the rear tires on the double axle was flat and hanging on the rim, the gas tank had a piece of plastic stuffed in it to function as a gas cap, and the truck failed to start when they tried to back it up to the storage unit. When the employees called the owner, he cussed a blue streak on the phone and hung up angrily. When he called his employees back again, his attitude was less than professional. The movers themselves were talking about how the truck was unreliable as well. They informed me that the owner would be there in 20 min and I told them to call me when he got there. The next call I received was not from the owner but from the moving crew that had been talking about how unreliable the truck was. I asked them if the owner brought another moving truck or trailer, and they informed me that they had managed to start the truck and were ready to move me. I told them I wasn't comfortable with them using that truck, to which they replied, "F^&K you then." The owner failed to call me at any time to inform me of what was going on or how he planned to complete the move. As a result of their poor customer service, I have now incurred additional storage fees. As a result, I cannot in good conscience recommend this business.

First let me say BUYER BEWARE! As I searched for movers I found the cost to be nearly $2500. Until…read moreI came across Rockford Family Movers. They were nearly half the other quotes. I asked why and Steven said that they had little overhead and were a local family company. I did some research on yelp and google and found every review at 5 STARS!! They are definitely NOT 5 STARS! We tried to support local while saving a few bucks. Don't do it. The movers showed up in a U-Haul, not professional looking at all, just 4 guys one of whom was the owner Steven Eisenach. They took a crazy amount of breaks. Every few minutes was a smoke break. I had to ask them not to smoke in the truck while loading our furniture. Plus they threw their cigarette butts all over the yards and drive ways. In all it took over 10 hours for a 3 bedroom home to go 10 minutes away. After the move we noticed many dings and gouges in the furniture and other items. During the move I noticed a gouge in our downstairs oak door and pointed it out to a mover. I got a shoulder shrug and a "wow! thats bad." After the move we had to repair and paint many scratches in the walls at the old and new home. The worst came as we unpacked. I left my garage tools to unpack last in order to get the house up and running. When I finally got a chance to unpack the garage I noticed many tools missing. I ended up losing many hand tools and some power tools. I have a 4'x8' peg board normally loaded with tools. Now it barely has anything at all. I am finding more tools missing every day. I did reach out to the movers via email and voicemail and have had no response. My wife did some more digging on the company and found a few things. She found that Steven reviewed his own company. And with as many 5 star reviews we believe that most are friends or family. She also found 1 Google review saying pretty much what we say above. They had a couple of tv's go missing. Makes for an interesting read. https://www.google.com/maps/contrib/112013538562282514718/reviews/@42.329958,-89.0485609,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m3!8m2!3m1!1e1?hl=en-US And finally, my wife found a news article on Steven Eisenach. It claims that he was arrested for stealing over $17K in jewelry while working for another moving company.
