The Sharing Place allows a place of no judgement where people can come to to share their memories of these people. I came here for a tour last Saturday, and it was amazing. This is such a nice tidy location and the woman who helped give us a tour was amazing. She really let us better understand all the creative thinking that goes into helping the individuals who come here. They start off by separating the children from the adult and their approaches for both group are completely different. There's just so much good that goes on to create an environment to help everyone. Some people have been here for years because it really helps deal with the passing of a dead one, and often times, the first year after a loss, the individual is still trying to figure it out and deal with the funeral and what not. The second and third year is when the pain really hits often times--and The Sharing Place is just the perfect place for everyone who shares this loss. Important info in case you or someone you know is interested in participating: Open September to May Twice a month there are meetings Families are asked to pledge whatever they can afford on a monthly basis, and it is placed in an envelope and remains completely anonymous. Whether it's $5 or $200 a month, any bit helps with the cost of running this place. If you want to volunteer, please do! They also take donations, so please do give if you can!

There was one little hiccup with the billing, but they were quick to notify me about it and were happy with me resolving the issue at my convenience. My son loves the huge outdoor area that provides all sorts of entertainment from tricycles to things to climb or swing on. He also comes home talking about all the stuff he did that day or all the stuff he learned. I've never had him come home whining about having a bad experience here (unless he was misbehaving). When there is an incident, they make sure to create a physical note for the parents that describe what happened - great for when your kids don't want to tell you exactly how they got that giant scrape on their knee.

I have a special place in my heart for anyone or any organization that cares for helpless…read moreanimals....especially pets that need a home! The people who run this organization are incredibly charitable and put so much effort into these dogs and cats. I recently visited and they had three dogs available. They were happily running around inside their enclosures outside under the shade of the tree. There were lots of other dog runs/kennels that looks much smaller, but also like they were no longer in use. There were not a lot of animals to choose from-but maybe that's because they all found homes or were in foster homes when we visited. Hopefully that's the case-and they are getting closer to their goal of No More Homeless Pets!

They truly are concerned about pets. I have so much positive to say about Rhonda and Second Chance…read morefor Homeless Pets. I've adopted three kittens from them. The kittens were always very well taken care of and you could tell that they came from quality foster homes. Very reasonable, adoption fees, spayed, and neutered and current on vaccinations. I've also had the pleasure of fostering kittens with Second Chance. The owner does what she says and supplies you with everything you need to take care of the animals. The commitments are not long and she is able to take the animals back as promised and on time. I recently was in there, and there was a woman trying to adopt a dog. It was obvious the woman did not have a home. The owner was not going to allow the woman to adopt the dog because she did not have a safe place for the dog to live. Although the woman was very upset, the owner was very professional and kind as she explained that she could not in good conscience adopt a pet out that didn't have a safe environment. percent she is concerned about the welfare of the animals. I will always refer people to them whether they're in the market to adopt an animal or if they're interested in fostering or volunteering there it's a great place with low overhead and a lot lot of love.!

Totally unacceptable and against day care guidelines. They need to read guidelines and use common sense. If a child can't fall asleep within a reasonable time, they are supposed to give them books or provide other quiet time activity. My daughter said the teacher made them all cover their heads. That was the last time I took her.

A friend recommended a new spot called Canny Kids in Draper, which was a subscription-based drop-in daycare. I liked the idea of on-demand childcare, and they were available when I needed care, so I took Lucy to Canny Kids on our second day in Utah. I consider this a very fortuitous day, because she immediately loved her time at Canny Kids. I was given a password-protected link to view security cameras, so I could peek in and see if she was okay at her first time in daycare. And when I watch the camera, she is either happily playing, or getting one-on-one attention from a caregiver. I've brought Lucy back dozens of times when I've needed a sitter, but also have made appointments just because she asks to go play at Canny Kids. When my grandma died, and I needed some help through funeral preparation, the staff were so supportive and sweet. I know I can count on them to not just care for my daughter, but many of the staff clearly love her. If you need flexible childcare in the south end of the Salt Lake Valley, give Canny Kids a try.

Both our kids really enjoyed their time and were said when we had to pack up and move on to our next destination.
