Fantastic experience. I foolishly left my running shoes at home and so my only footwear this trip…read morewas a pair of slip-ons. Not the sort of thing you want to be tromping around Pisgah wearing. So we stopped here on our way out to the national park. There were no hard sells, no baits and switches, just great customer service and knowledgeability. Kaleb asked if I was looking for anything specific. I explained to him the situation and he asked what shoes I wore at home and what I was looking to do while I was in NC (which are the perfect questions, in my opinion). I told him and he not only was aware of the brand but also the important factors of that particular "model". (I am severely "duck footed" and need a shoe so wide that it might as well be a clown shoe). He brought out a few shoes that also met those criteria. I was impressed by the options he brought out because clearly a lot of thought went into the selection. One was the brand/model I wear at home (but the only color they had in stock in my size was pure white). Another was an option that was more hiking-focused (since I had mentioned we would be walking through Pisgah). And another was similar to the brand/model I wore at home but a more neutral color (since an all-white shoe worn while hiking will quickly become not-white). I wound up going with the brand/model I wear at home (Altra Escalante) in white because the aesthetics aren't particularly important to me, and, I wanted something more all-purpose. But the fact that he had really considered what I would be using the shoes for and presented several great options was really impressive. And all in all, the entire experience from entering the store to checkout took less than 15 minutes. No long waits, no hard sells. And no markup either - same price as Amazon. So I was very happy that I was able to support a local store with such knowledgable and helpful staff

I have Type 2 diabetes and the peripheral neuropathy that is associated with it. Walking lately has been painful. Specifically, in the balls of my feet. My doctor had told me to visit them, so I did. Wow!! I am so very happy that I made this decision. Kaleb spent 90 minutes with me explaining what I was experiencing, watching me walk several times, and then trying on multiple shoes until we found the best ones. He taught me so much about my feet that I never knew, and how to take care of them. I now feel like I'm walking on air, and there's no more pain. I'm so extremely happy and pleased with this experience. I highly recommend Kaleb and the Pisgah Forest location!! Call to make an appointment.

She has the lowest prices of any consignment store in the Asheville/Brevard area. I visited another consignment store in our area people talk about but oh my gosh! Their Chico's dresses were selling for $50+ and their t-shirts were selling for $20! There is literally nothing at Diane's over $20 for a really nice dressy dress - most things I buy are around $10. Just today I bought a bright pink / coral Ralph Laren cable knit sweater for $11. Now, you know a new Ralph Lauren in the store would be $80 or more. I also got 2 scarves and a pair of Bjorndal shoes today for a little over $30 total! Love Diane's scarves - she has hundreds of them and they're all very pretty: florals, geometrics, paisley's, etc: I have six scarves & get lots of compliments from people when I wear them. Lots of sets of necklaces & earrings to choose from (bracelets available, too), purses, shoes, lounge wear, dinner wear.... check it out. Once in a while I don't find anything but the majority of times I find something I just can't pass up for the quality / price.
