I made a big mistake by moving from a home that was very close to the Baylor Clinic and now I have to drive 50 miles through Houston's traffic but I'm still doing it and will as long as I can make the drive, which unfortunately may not be much longer. What I don't appreciate is when medical practitioners get offended when you ask questions, or challenge theories when it comes to your own health. It is my body and my life, I think every patient should ask questions and challenge conventional theories. I have a thyroid issue. I am trying to find ways to heal it. I have been seeing Dr. Horsefield for maybe 5 years now, and have noticed passive aggressiveness before... but what I recently experienced is clearly unacceptable. I saw him for my regular annual appointment 3 months ago. My TSH levels were too high, so I got on some thyroid supplements and we retested about 6 weeks later. The results came in and the TSH levels were too low. I have since readjusted my medication and sent him an email politely asking if he could order the bloodwork to retest my levels so I can ensure i am now healthy and found the right balance. His response was callous. I have attached a photo with the passive aggressive response, where he makes it clear that he wont put the test in the system because he doesn't get paid for "answering emails, ordering tests, reviewing tests, communicating test results and maintenance of records" ..... REALLY? Aren't those tasks associated with being a doctor? I would be happy to pay him, for me it isn't about the money at all. In addition, clearly SOMEONE is getting paid when I order these lab tests because I'm charged thousands of dollars for them. All I need though is the bloodwork.... and he doesn't have availability for 2 months!?! I'm extremely disappointed that someone in the healthcare field is so much more concerned about their wallet than their patients health. Also if he wanted to charge me a processing fee that is fine, but his solution is clearly not in my best interest to wait 2 months and potentially do irreversible damage to my body.

Just when I was getting ready to go in they sprung this on me and I had to cancel that procedure and wait a month to get a new one. Another time they told me that it was just too difficult to get procedures done at the hospital I had receive that last 6 injections at and that they just couldn't help me. They didn't know when I could be seen. So I would just have to wait. In pain. Glad I live in Houston where there are more than one doctor who can do this. Someone should tell their staff that. Honestly it's really sad two of the best doctors I've ever seen have the worst staff working for them. I don't generally post negative reviews but maybe this is the only way to let people know...and please the review is not about the doctors themselves. It is about the support staff. I've had very long waits for appointments and other days he's been able to see my son within 10 minutes of calling (like in the emergency we had today) so all in all, typical Dr's office. He didn't make me feel like a hypochondriac and was sympathetic about all of my worries. He also has a nonchalant attitude which is fine by me. I didn't know that it's kind of unusual to see a man for under there, but I told my friend about how my Pap smear took literally a minute and she said that's a good thing cause sometimes other doctors don't know what they're doing and it can take forever....
