We sang songs, played with balls and scarves, and Casey read the kids a fun story that connected to different movements. Everyone was super kind and understandable with allowing our children to play and have fun. I found Unity Yoga Room when the YMCA closed in Mt. Juliet a few years back…read more My husband and I had been searching for a yoga studio since moving to Mt. Juliet from California. At that time there wasn't an option in Mt.Juliet with the exception of the "Y." The first class we took was a restorative class that was given on a Friday evening. The teacher was very good and the room and atmosphere were perfect (a very welcome change from yoga at the "Y" where the previous class was Zumba). We both started taking Gentle Flow classes during the week and were hooked. When my schedule changed, I began taking Hot 26 and Hot 26 Blend classes (classes given in a heated room with a specific set of standing and floor postures). In the past 3 years, I have taken many of the classes available and I typically go 2 - 3 times each week. Unity offers a variety of memberships which makes it easy to choose what is best for your schedule and budget. They also offer a "30 Days for $30" pass so you can try different classes to see what's right for you. And, if you're in Mt. Juliet, they are in a convenient location. I have been doing Yoga for over 15 years and it is one of the few things I do for myself on a regular basis. Most of my waking hours are spent at a computer, which can be all consuming and doesn't lend itself to stretching or even getting up and taking a break.
