He gave us a very fair price, came back the next day and fixed them both. He sealed them all the way through, we could literally see the sealant from outside as well. He didn't try to up sell. We had a hairline crack on the floor, that I asked him about, he said he could seal it as well but if it were his own he wouldn't worry about it as it wasn't necessary. He is very knowledgeable, personable, and professional. He made such an overwhelming process seem quick and easy like you were talking to a friend. I figured, okay it's a Friday so things must be hectic. Over the weekend I saw that he had an online contact form so I filled that out and anxiously waited until noon on Monday with again no response. If he was too booked to do the job, I understand but what I don't understand is not having the courtesy to call to let me know that I should be looking for someone else. I was fortunate to find another company that was prompt, professional, and fairly priced so my issue has now been corrected.

This was a $130 bill for less than a half an hour. My pilot light continued to not stay on so I called Bob and asked him if he'd check the thermacouple. He said no need since it lit. I went to the hardware store and bought a new one for $12 installed it less than half an hour in my water heater works fine now. I'm concerned about his thoroughness and his suggestion that I just replaced the water heater.

To make matters difficult, we had to do the original estimate long distance. We were living in Texas and relocating to Arizona. I provided the approximate square footage and they gave us a conservative estimate before putting their eyes on it. We wanted to know order of magnitude cost versus total replacement. We explained what kind of flooring it was with a couple of pictures (it was not solid hardwood and would not take normal progressive sanding being too thin). Their estimate was within our budget and we agreed to the terms. We agreed to have them inspect to determine if any additional repairs were required. They must be busy because we scheduled out a couple of months, which was okay since the house was empty. They were definitely worried about the condition before they got to view the floors. They completed the work a few days before we arrived. We were completely knocked over with how beautiful the floors were. To top it off, they came in within their estimate. If you need your hardwood floors refinished, we highly recommend Soft Touch Designs.

We also wanted rebar around the perimeter of the slab of concrete. They ignored that. He also used the cheapest rebar available. After the cement was poured, we waited month after month for something more to happen. Six months later and a very torn up lawn, we finally kicked him off the job. We finished the job ourselves. We ended up over paying him just to get rid of him. His father came with him to get their last check from us and I showed him all the damage to the lawn and he just said "oh well". Then Kane told us that it took so long because we were 18th on his list. If he had told us that in the beginning, we would have hired someone else. We cannot recommend Ridge Point Builders.

They claim they emailed invoices, but I never saw them, and they continued delivering water the entire time without mentioning there was an overdue balance. Instead of making a simple phone call or telling me during a delivery, they chose to send the account to collections, which can negatively impact someone's credit over a relatively small amount. Customer service should be about communicating with customers before taking such a drastic step. I would have paid the balance immediately if I had known it was overdue. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I hope they improve their communication so other customers don't end up in the same situation. I paid my balance in full immediately
