But Beltone could have done something to expedite the situation No one should have to go 5 months without their hearing ads. This was a mistake I…read more encourage you not to make because of the following: Way too many appts for the surgery, before and after--very unnecessary All appts were never on time, always a long wait. The waiting room was small and packed, so some people had to sit outside. Inadequate parking available. You only meet the actual surgeon, Dr Siapco on the day of surgery, and he is in a rush because there is a line up of people having the surgery. The surgery is at a separate facility and is an assembly line experience. The staff at the surgery center were not properly attentive to me so not aware that I was experiencing atrial fibrillation as it seems no one was watching the monitors. When asked by the anesthesiologist 10 minutes before having my R eye surgery how I was doing, I mentioned I was OK but having wonky heartbeats. Then all of a sudden I'm having a ECG, my surgery cancelled and made to go directly to my PCP while everyone talked stroke stroke stroke creating fear in me. My experience with using this office for cataract surgery was a very traumatic experience.

I was…read morewaiting for my mom, when a creepy adult male came out of his car and tried getting my attention by talking to me. I ignored him, so he stood by my car and waited for any kind of response. This just irritated me more and agitated my dog. So, I went to talk to security about him. By the time I left my car to talk to security, he got back into his car. Hopefully, security can take care of people loitering and harrassing people around the clinic parking lot.

They claimed the first…read moretime I told them I called them and told them I "changed my mind" and that the second time I called and left a voicemail saying I wanted to cancel. I asked if they could be confusing me with another patient because I never changed my mind and I certainly never called and left a message trying to cancel. They said no and that they wouldn't accommodate me because my chart said I had cancelled multiple times before. I've never had a prior appointment with them so that's not possible. I even called multiple times to confirm my appointment both times before making the drive and never received a call back or confirmation. Both times myself and my partner had to take two days off work to be able to spend the night in Hilo. We had to hire a pet sitter both days. The second time (today), we drove almost five hours round trip only to learn that my appointment had been cancelled and I had been discharged as a patient for multiple cancellations. We were rudely dismissed by their receptionist who was truly awful for no reason and said "welcome to Hawai'i" when I told her I had called to confirm but never gotten a call back. I've met Dr. Russo on O'ahu when I was younger and he seemed like a nice doctor. His receptionists are going to make him lose a lot of patients for trying to blame his patients for their scheduling mistakes.
