This is the first time I've ever been to an allergist but my experience was fantastic…read more My first appointment was a major goof up because I made an appointment in the Tampa office online but found out that there was an office in New Port Richey so I called and had them switch the appointment. Then I got a confirmation text which I thought was for Tampa so I canceled it and didn't find out that it was for this office until I showed up for the appointment. They rescheduled me for the following week. I had no problem checking in, the office wasn't crowded and I didn't have long to wait before being taken in the exam room. I saw Dr. Thorwarth, who was very pleasant and thorough about my history and symptoms. He gave me a prescription and asked to see me in a month, telling me to call if things changed. I checked out with the front desk staff member Kimberly who was kind and professional asking if I had any questions or concerns. This is one of the best visits I've had in a doctor's office and will recommend this to anyone.

I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially Dr. Nofsinger, who was my surgeon/doctor. I ended up developing complications that were not Dr. Nofsinger's fault, they were rare, but they happened, and I was never able to get a hold of Her. I developed a bleed that then developed into a massive blood clot which caused me to hemorrhage and go into emergency surgery. I did up losing a lot of blood and became anemic and had to stay in the hospital overnight. It was awful. During all of this, the ER doctor tried to get a hold of Dr. Nofsinger and couldnt. My husband and I tried contacting her several times, and could not get a hold of her, and even tried her assistant Stephanie, who was always never able to be reached. My first visit with Dr. Noffsinger she told me and assured me that if I ever needed anything or had any questions I could simply call her assistant Stephanie or simply send a message on the patient portal. I did that along with my husband several times and each time we got Stephanie's voicemail. Granted, she did call back one time, and my husband was actually finally able to speak with her but out of all the times we called that was absolutely ridiculous it was that hard to reach her. Not to mention all the messages I sent on the portal that were either getting not responded to, or were extremely delayed of a response. When I had to get emergency surgery, I was absolutely terrified and was so shocked that I could not get ahold of my doctor to ask any questions or get any reassurance at all. It was even difficult just to get a refill in pain medication. Bedside manner is nonexistent and I again would never recommend someone to go see her or go to this clinic.

Diagnosed TMJ but told me to "use common sense" in treating it and that my pain would feel worse if I thought about it. He had no other treatment options to give me. He also commented that ringing in my ears might "just indicate some hearing loss" and that this wasn't a big deal. When I brought up the dizziness and nausea that was part of the reason for my referral, he snapped at me that that would have to be for another appointment, grilled me on my alcohol consumption level (despite my paperwork indicating medications for anxiety that do not mix with alcohol) four times, and was generally rude and condescending. The staff also confused my doctor with a doctor in state who shared the same last name but had different first initials and addresses. They used the first one they found in the computer. The treatment room was outdated with a very flimsy table, magazines dating to January 2001, and a disturbing and dirty case full of items he'd removed from previous patients with information about the patients. The staff were very rude on the telephone when I phoned because I could not find the building location and hung up on me. I was referred here by my doctor, or I would have chosen someone else. My pain was not improved, I was not given many treatment options and I found the entire experience to be terrible, anxiety inducing, and a waste of time that was very highly upsetting.
