Seriously the biggest waste of my time. It was my first appointment here. They get me in to the…read moreroom to see the dr 30 minutes after I arrived. Not even 1 minute later Dr Jake came and rushed into the room! He was very hurried and didn't even really take the time to understand what I have going on. He did a very quick exam on my nose, ears and throat. After he rambled off a list of things that I would be experiencing (which I am if he would have given me any time to respond). And as quickly as he came in shuttled me off to the nurse to order a few tests. I was out of his office and in my car in ten minutes. He literally told me that some of my ear problems are totally fine and I can continue to "deal with it" by putting ear plugs in my ears, but no expectations for anything! I left here feeling frustrated and like a number! I completely re arranged my clients today to get in here! What a waste of time!

Dr. Austin is a human like all of us and no one is perfect. He is a specialist in Ear Nose and…read moreThroat. I found him on Zoc Doc and he has amazing reviews. I moved here from out of state, and I have always had sinus issues. Never once have I had a Dr. who was so proactive about finding out the root of the problem. But... Dr. Austin was. He put me on antibiotics to clear up my sinus infection. He informed me that he wanted me to have a CT Scan done but I had to wait until the meds were finished. Otherwise the infection would throw off the scan. Totally understandable. Turns out I had a horribly deviated septum. And my sinus openings were closed. He asked me to come in so he could SHOW me the scan. That right there was amazing. I was able to see exactly what the issues were. He went into great detail on what it takes to fix these issues. And surgery was the only solution. I had never been able to breath out of my left nostril. Chronic sinus infections, and sever sinus migraines is what I had lived with for almost 20 years. I finally had answers! I remember saying to him afterwards "so it's not all in my head then?" We all laughed after he said "well actually it is." He and his staff went over how the billing worked. They were great about communicating thru the entire process. Surgery day came and went. The facility he preforms his procedures at was wonderful. Not the most fancy place, but everyone who worked there was so warm and welcoming. Before surgery he came in, sat down with me and went over the entire process. What his plan was, how long it would take, and how I will feel after. I wasn't blindsided one bit. Him doing that helped me feel calm about what was about to happen. It has been almost a month since my surgery and I have gone in for 2 follow ups so far. He is vigilant about making sure there isn't any scar tissue forming that will hinder the surgery. Dr. Austin is the only Dr. I trust now. He is there when you need him. His staff is great! And both office locations allow his patients to have options. Thank you Dr. Austin. I truly appreciate you and your staff.

I felt the need to sign up on Yelp just to write this review. Last year I attended an educational…read moreseminar for the Sun City Hearing Loss group, and had the fortune to hear Dr. Peterson speak. Now, being in Sun City, we get a lot of hearing aid dealers that come in and try to get us to buy this or that, but this was not one of those talks. In this particular seminar Dr. Peterson explained in depth how our ears work, how hearing aids really work and what tinnitus is. At the time it was evident that we weren't listening to your average hearing specialist. She came back some months later to talk about hearing loss and how that affects Alzheimer's and Dementia, and since that time members of her staff have come to talk about balance disorders and other things. She is one of the most intelligent individuals I have ever had the great fortune to meet. I know that going to Great Hills ENT and the Hearing & Balance Center of Austin is a bit of a drive from Sun City, but I can not stress how much it is worth it. I am pretty sure my wife and I would drive from Houston if we had to to visit this clinic. The staff is friendly, and remembers your name. The providers are thorough and never once make you feel like you are a number. On my initial visit I had questions about my existing hearing aids and if they needed to be replaced. She was honest about my loss and the state of my aids, and at the end of the day fixed what I currently had instead of trying to get me to get new hearing aids (like three of the clinics in Georgetown). It is a small private practice, so know that sometimes its hard to get someone on the phone, but they will call you back. The doctors here practice medicine the way it should be done!!

I came to ENT Specialists of Austin for what should have been a standard clinical evaluation. During the exam, Dr. Youssef grabbed my tongue with gauze and yanked it so violently to the side that the tissue tore and started bleeding right there in the exam chair. The pain was immediate and excruciating. For several days afterward, my tongue and throat were swollen, and I couldn't swallow without sharp pain or eat solid food. What made the visit completely surreal was the lack of proper medical equipment. Instead of using a sterile ENT scope or a dedicated clinical camera, Dr. Youssef literally grabbed my personal cell phone, turned on the flashlight, and held my unsterilized phone right in front of my open, bleeding mouth to take pictures. Aggressive physical handling, painful recovery, and zero regard for sterile technique. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for ENT care and avoiding Dr. Youssef.
