A small but comfortable office, the professional came out and greeted us and went and evaluated the hearing aids. She was able to adjust them so that they were more comfortable. She also showed us what the issue was with them that kept them from working properly and explained why he'd eventually need new ones. I really appreciated she was willing to adjust them to make them temporarily livable and that she explained why, and didn't just tell him, he's needed new ones.

If there had been another patient there wouldn't have been room to turn my mother's wheelchair around. About half way through filling out the paperwork the doctor (I believe she was the doctor) came out and asked if my mother could walk. Turns out they do not have a ramp for their sound booth. Being new to this sort of appointment we had no idea to ask about a ramp. Seems like when making the appointment someone at the office should have mentioned about the lack of a ramp. Waste of time. If you're handicapped find another hearing center. After this experience, calling around it seems every other place has a ramp for their sound booth.

There was no volume, they squealed and screeched in my ears. The people around me could hear the noise. The Audiologists told me to try the Phonak, and again the Audiologists could not adjust them and again they screeched and squealed in my ear. I bought several microphones as they told me they would help, still no calibration. Again, at their suggestion, I bought a Widex Allure. After weeks their Audiologists could not adjust them to my hearing needs. They led me on to believe if we kept trying, which took me out of the 30 day window. I finally decided I was being a fool. I kept doing the same thing over and over expecting a different answer. After thousand of dollars and way to much time I returned the Allures, in which, Platinum Hearing took a $500.00 return fee. They were the ones that couldn't calibrate them, as they never stopped screaming into my hears. I now have a pair called Signia. American Medical has them where I can actually hear better than I have in years and they don't make any screeching sounds. By the way, their Audiologist and owner only works 1.5 days a week and the second one 3 days a week. They were just not qualified to take care of my hearing needs.

Made an appointment with Dr. Bruce Sobel. First visit ...I had to wait an hour to see the doctor......not a great first impression. During the exam I found Larry Sobel more interested in letting me know how much $$$ he made in the market recently than dealing with any medical issues I had. Had the exam and told him I wouldn't come back if waiting an hour was typical. He assured me it wasn't . Next appointment I waited an hour and a half and still never got to see Sobel. I walked out and told the office I wouldn't be back. Immediately found a new family doc. I take a blood pressure medication every day. Unbeknownst to me Sobel's office was the last medical practice to order this particular medication so the pharmacy contacted them them to OK a refill. They decided not to and simply ignored the multiple fax requests. I found Larry Sobel to be condescending, disrespectful and a little too arrogant. He may be a great doctor but he runs his practice like his sh*t doesn't stink.
