She helped my husband and I ease our worries about what to expect during the whole journey and most of all helped us feel empowered and informed to make the best decisions that were right for us. I also really appreciated her guidance on what to expect when communicating with doctors and how to navigate certain topics in order to make better decisions. I ended up going all the way to 42 weeks and Heather was amazing at helping me take it moment by moment, evaluating as we went along to still make the best decisions that felt right to us. After my very first appointment I was able to sit pain free in my car while driving home. I continued to go for periodic adjustments until I deliver and even after (hello nursing carpal tunnel...). But what I really appreciate is the tailored services specifically for your needs. Typically I'm seen only as needed. No generalized "two appointments per week for the next 15 weeks" that you hear of from other places. 12 years later and I'm still receiving great care. Not only me, but my 12 years later old son who's very busy with sports LOVES coming here. I appreciate how they teach him about his body and what he can do to care for himself. When I was living in Spokane, I had a traumatic birth experience with my first in a hospital setting. I was so excited to reclaim and heal my birth experience with my second and Monarch Midwifery did exactly that. From start to finish the level of care, experience, expertise, understanding, and empathy they showed was incredible. I was able to bring my 3 year old to every appointment and they were absolutely incredible with her - including her in checking my blood pressure and listening to babies heart beat. I had the most incredible home birth with them - a 10 lb baby and the birth went better than I ever could've imagined. He was incredibly healthy, and the birth went so so smooth. Brittany was at my birth and she was better than any provider (and i had incredible providers) in the hospital with my first. She was calm, said the perfect things at the perfect time, and offered the best support on a physical, emotional and energetic level throughout the entire birth. My husband (who was so worried after our first birth) said the way Brittany was so confident and calm the entire birth helped him so much. He said he would look at her as I was in active labor and she would have a gentle smile on her face and kept telling us that baby was so healthy and happy. Took my son to see Natalie Chambers & she saw him for 6/2017-12/2018. My son suffers from…read moredepression & is special needs. Regarding his diagnosis for depression, it wasn't Natalie whom made the diagnosis, nor, at any time refer him to a psychiatrist or medical doctor for treatment. My son was prescribed with anti depressants from his G.P. when he mentioned his extreme depression & thoughts of suicide. As a mental health professional it is mandatory that she report any possible life threatening/suicidal tendencies a patient is exhibiting to another professional and/or his parents or guardians if he consented which he does & would have if it was necessary to discuss his treatment with me. However, Natalie did NO SUCH THING! As a matter of fact with the exception of PAYING THE BILL Natalie & I had no contact whatsoever regarding my son's progression with his mental state. It seems to me that when a child of 16 is having thoughts of suicide it would warrant mandatory reporting, or, at the very least referral to further treatment, &, at the very least collaboration of SOME TYPE between Natalie & a prescribing medical doctor since his depression is organic & medication is the only option for an organic depression, especially, as extreme as my son's is. In May of 2018 my son went to OHSU CDRC for full autism spectrum testing, &, only after a full day of numerous types of testing the ENTIRE team of drs. urgently recommended a higher dosage of my son's antidepressant meds due to its intensity that it effected EVERY aspect of his mental state/capabilities to a degree that it wasn't possible to get an accurate result with any/all his tests. Natalie had been seeing him for almost a year & NOT ONCE did she address such an OBVIOUS issue that a panel of doctors who saw him for a 6 hour day were able to diagnose & address with my son, &, myself the sense of urgency to raise his dosage asap because of their deep concern over his suicidal thoughts & lack of motivation in every aspect of his life. It seemed to me that Natalie was more concerned over my insurance coverage than anything else. If I could rate 000 's, I would.
