There were two medical assistants at check-in, otherwise the waiting room was deserted. I was checked in right away and in a few minutes I was called in. After they weighed my carcass, and then took my medical history, the doctor came in. Although it was quick, the exam was thorough. I was in and out in 15 minutes. The facility is clean and well lit, and everyone appeared to enjoy being there, even with someone showing up at closing. Although there are urgent care facilities closer to me, this IU Health has been the most accommodating and professional.

I will say the decor of the office is very outdated and not modern. And scheduling in the front office depending on who you ask always differs. Example: when leaving an appointment one day we were told our doctor would be gone a certain week so we had to schedule around that. We had a vacation that popped up so we needed to change what day we went in to the week the doctor would be gone but just see a different doctor. Called to change it and the person booked us for a day on the week my doctor was supposedly supposed to be gone? Super strange but we roll with it because our doctor is so great. This clinic charges $15 per child for medical records, even when you pick them up. I get the impression it's an exit fee. Yes,…read morethey still go to the pediatrician and I am extremely thankful for that (age max is college graduation or age 21). So we have many years experience with them and all of the staff. Previously located at 116th and Allisonville Rd. they are now at 146th and Cumberland. The staff is always very kind, professional, and thorough. I've never had an issue scheduling an appointment. They return calls promptly and genuinely seem to care about my boys well-being. They've done my boys well visits, sick visits, school physicals, and promptly provided school shot records. My boys regular doctor is Dr. Scott Boshcee. They're able to meet him with me or privately and discuss the growing changes with becoming a young men. He's very relatable and jokes with my boys making them feel very comfortable. I'll be sad when it's time to find them a primary family physician. They're truly awesome!

He is kind and caring with the littles and as my child has gotten older and sarcastic, Dr. Duck rolls with it. I love that regardless of what time it is, you have access to someone at his office. It was a frustrating answer, since the inability to lose weight was part of the problem. My husband's coworker recommended Amy Nicley, NP, at Excell for Life, since they work on your health through dietary changes and supplements, so I made an appointment. Blood tests galore revealed major inflammation and an autioimmune issue, as well as a problem with my pancreas that prevents me from processing carbs (hence the rapid weight gain!). I never would have known that! While we're continuing to figure out my body's autoimmune issue, I'm already feeling so much better with the dietary changes and supplements we've implemented. I was having heartburn all day, every day, headaches every day---that's all gone! I have far more energy, too. And Amy won't stop looking for answers until my whole system is happy again---no shrugs and, "Let's wait it out," or, "I don't know what to tell you." She's excited to figure this out, like a detective with a thrilling case. I absolutely love that about her! The supplements are a bit pricey, but some are rather exotic compared to what I've taken before (the grocery store variety, you know), so I don't know if they'd be cheaper elsewhere. And there is a $97 out-of-pocket functional medicine fee for each visit (on top of what they bill insurance, I believe), which is a little different. But it's been worth every penny! I came to her from…read moreanother country and with two double ear infections she was able to treat them as well as help me grow. The office that we went to back in the day was very children focused from the fun toys and books in the waiting room to the beds that had a play room under them. Great for the kids not so fun for the nurses and doctors that have to find hiding kids. Great place to hide from getting a shot. Well until you were found and had to come to terms with your new fate. Being a kid has lots of great advantages but being able to be picked up was not one of them. As I got older I remember Dr. B giving me stickers and being nice to me, she would do the normal doctor checks but made she rue that I was understanding what was happening and why. She wanted from a early age that doctors are good and that we need to take care of ourselves. Her nurses were also great at helping everyone feel safe and welcomed. From being in toys to sitting with you while you had to get a shot they new the tricks to help it be easier on there patients. We had not gone here for a very long time but if we ever needed a doctor we know who we would see. Thank you Dr. B for being a great first doctor.
