The staff is friendly, communicative, and typically have a smile on. The waiting room is open, and allows a view to the rehabilitation gym (the pediatrician portion is behind a small barrier, to allow pediatric OT and PT services to be rendered). Speech language pathology services are executed in an office, in which, you're free to join and participate with (in this particular case, I join in on ST sessions with my daughter; to learn any new methods, possible equipment, communicate with the SLP [speech language pathologist]). It's a little small (the office), but it offers an intimate session for parents/client to therapist. In my daughter's case, she was born premature due to an automobile accident, so no-fault auto covers the cost. Check your insurance to make sure you're covered in network or out of network, and any deductibles you may need to pay. NOTE: coordinated policy allows your health provider to work with your auto insurer (or whomever insured you at the date/time of loss). In this scenario, for example, BCBSM (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan) pays for a portion first, then no-fault auto picks up the rest. Currently, we've been working on straw drinking, and continuing goals from our prior establishment of therapy, in which we still have services at; while creating and maintaining new goals. So far, we have been satisfied with the two SLPs we've had render services. Note that every therapist is different. Find one that clicks with you, and/or your child (if pediatric services applies).

I have had vertigo for more than 20 days now which at times makes one feel as though they are losing life as normal. Katie did the Epley maneuver and released some of the vertigo discomfort. I intend to follow up with two more sessions and see the healing hands at this institute bring my life back to as close to normal in this imperfect world. Katie was kind, gentle and patient and gave a calming environment to my medical situation. Thank God for medical workers like Katie who are gifted with skills and mercy.
