I was referred by a sports doctor to go for PT for my shoulder/arm which had been hurting for over 6 weeks. The lady did some light low complex massage and arm movements for 20 minutes and told me to come back again. I then went to a chiropractor who confirmed a rib was out and adjusted me and I was fine so I went back and canceled the rest of my appointments but they billed me for more than agreed and things that they did not do! I am willing to pay for the 20 minutes of PT but they are being dishonest charging for other services rendered that they did not complete for a total of $402.50 for 1 visit! I think they front desk does not understand billing, and the billing department that I called is unwilling to make adjustment. I am still waiting to hear back from the supervisor regarding the billing and services rendered!

He truly listens to understand what's going on, he's just what you need. Some days that's a drill sergeant to give you a kick in the behind, some days it's a cheerleader, some a coach, some a friend/supporter. He truly cares about patients and is so accepting of all the diverse people he sees. You can see his connection in the clinic, not only with yourself, but with others. I'm on the road to improvement - I'm not 100% yet, but for the first time in 7 years, I see a light at the end of the tunnel. I appreciate the different approaches (Exercise, Stretching, Cupping, Electric stim, Heat, Massage, Trigger point release, blading) to get the results I need. The clinic is clean, easily accessible, appointment scheduling is easy - overall, I couldn't be happier.

I selected NovaCare Rehabilitation after a knee surgery…read more The physical therapists and techs were decent enough, some better than others... and I feel like I gained results from their intervention. This is where the '1 star' comes into play. I have good insurance - actually lucky enough to have better insurance than most. My insurance clearly states that copays to visits such as theirs is a standard $20. The billing staff and up-front people is where NovaCare falls short.... they routinely told me not to pay my copay amount after my visit; that they would bill the insurance company and send me a bill - which I did not like. I told them my insurance would cover all but the $20 copays, generally speaking. So - I would go several visits and then get a larger cumulative bill for past visits.... which I gladly paid. When my rehab was over, I got a few more bills.... and figured everything was finally caught up with the screwy way they do things. In hindsight, I should have demanded to pay my copay up front - every visit. So.... fast forward literally 1 year later. I just received a new bill after an entire year of finishing my rehab program with them. Their billing department is completely incompetent...... who would bill someone after an entire year??? It wasn't much, but I had no idea after all that time whether their bill was accurate or not - or even if I had visited them during the times they documented..... like I said, it was 1 year after the last visit. Complete idiots and incompetents in their billing department..... I feel as though I got fleeced somehow. So, they wait an entire year to bill me and then want me to remit my check immediately. I called them up and told them I wasn't paying them $70 after an entire year passed before they decided to bill me - I had no idea if the charges were legit or not. I said, 'am I going to get a bill in 2023 for service I got in 2021?' I told them to pound sand, I wasn't paying.... and that they should get their act together..... and maybe I would respond in kind and send them a check in 2024. Their response? No apologies for taking an inappropriate amount of time to bill.... no comments about understanding my frustration or offers to explain why they took a year to bill me..... this nimrod on the phone simply said, "That's fine, don't pay - our collections department will be calling you." Do yourself a favor and find a reputable and responsible.... and competent rehabilitation facility to do business with. The people in their billing department are the worst, and they have no concept of customer service. Their billing and admin staff do a great disservice to the talented therapists who work in their facilities. Part of a good overall experience, is a trouble free billing routine.

What bothered me was the short appointment times they offer patients. All appointments are only 1/2 hour. In Michigan winters with such bitter cold days, it seemed hardly worth the trip. I'm not sure how they reconcile the short appointments with insurance companies. It does not seem standard to me. I will definitely include questions about length of appointment time when interviewing centers for future potential services I choose.

They are teaching me how to stretch properly and aiding me with comprehensive life changes so I can remobilize. I work full time and have to keep on the move. They always ask 'how are you doing', they want to help. My issues have to do with Pelvic floor, not something many PTs are used to treating, but Saige is knowledgeable in this area and is making a big difference.
