Nick and his father are both lovely people and practice what they preach when it comes to the "old school" mentality of delivering quality work and ensuring client satisfaction. There was one thing I was unhappy with upon delivery of service and he sent a worker back to fix it. This act speaks volumes, not only to his character, but his dedication to ensuring a happy client for years to come. Being a part time designer I've had dealings with plenty of craftsman and can assure you this was an excellent experience. If I had to do it again, I'd hire KO Flooring.

Red Oak was clearly in my contract and Nick knew the rest of the house was Red Oak. Now it does not match the rest of my Red Oak floors. When I asked him what happened he lied and told me it was a mistake by his distributor however I was informed by one of his employees that Nick used the White Oak wood cause he had it in stock and saved money. Not a nice thing to do to your customer who spent close to 20k with his company. So I would not recommend KO Flooring or Nick to anyone.

When it was time to pick our flooring, my husband and I went looking for a floor in our given price range. We went to Home Depot and Floor and Decor and picked out flooring that we liked. Alexis kept telling us that she had a place for us to pick out flooring and kept avoiding talking about flooring we like from other companies. Since we were into the project for approximately 8 months already due to COVID, we decided to go with her contact. We wound up picking a floor with their contact, but we're concerned about how thin the flooring was since it was going over tile that was under our original pergo We were told not to worry about it and that they would make sure that everything was done right. About a month after install, the floor started buckling. We callEd All Island to ask Jay, the owner to come take a look at the floor. He said it would cost us $7,000 to redo the floor. We explained that we had reservations about putting this thin floor in, given our circumstances and that Alexis assured us that it would be fine and they'd take care of it. Jay told us flat out that he would replace it for another $7,000. Since then the floor has been separating in many places and even sticking up. We cut our feet on it and my husband had to tape it down. Since we only looked at samples and don't know the company they got this floor from, we have no warranty on it and have to redo the entire floor ( in four rooms of my home) costing us $9,000 more only four years later. The reason we waited these few years was because we knew it was going to cost a lot to redo this floor. Now we are in the process of getting it done right at a big cost. Home Depot professions said they don't even sell less than 8mm thick flooring, but All Island installed 5mm even after our concerns. I have many pictures of this disaster. When Jay visited us, he went around our kitchen kicking the planks to close up multiple gaps. The flooring was a big part of this disaster, but there is way more that happened with the crew that was working on our project. Paint splatter on our brand new windows and screens, holes left in corners of the room, kitchen cabinet handles screwed in crooked, grout started falling out of the backsplash tiles, and I could go on. Wish they would have done right by us.

Just had a service call to make sure everything is running smoothly incase we need the pumps again and the service man (John) found everything to be in great. Highly recommend ACM. Very honest, fairly priced and excellent work! French drain's really work, even with the ground water rising from the bottom up (which is what happens in our case).

They worked around Decembers rain and snow and frigid temps to get the repair completed before Christmas. After the snow melted in March we discovered a 1 foot drop in the soil they had fill back into our 8 foot hole. And the membrane had separated. They were very prompt in fixing it to perfection. I hired with this company ONCE back in 2014 for a chimney cleaning, and post-cleaning they recommended additional services that, upon reviewing with a 2nd chimney professional - was not needed. Their sales system was basically providing the offer of a "low cost" chimney cleaning, as a segue for more upsells. Since then, they've CONSTANTLY pestered me year after year with sales calls / offers for chimney cleaning since they are "in my area." I've asked them again and again to REMOVE my number from their list - but they won't listen, so I've reported them now to the FTC since my number is on the DO NOT CALL list. Sorry, but any contractor worth his salt is always busy and doesn't need to drum up business (Hint: I manage 7 doors locally and over 40+ units now / over 100+ at the height of my holdings - every great pro I know is booked weeks / months out). He replied but didn't give me a straight answer, he was actually nasty. I've sent multiple text messages over the past weeks. The lack of communication and customer service has been extremely disappointing. When you spend a lot of money with a company, you expect them to stand behind their work and at least return a customer's message. It's frustrating that such a small service request has been completely ignored. Because of this experience, I can no longer recommend this company. A quality installation is important, but so is customer service after the job is complete.

Or possibly it's not enough money involved to interest him. Once he's made the sale and collected his money, he has no regard for any of his customers concerns and actually becomes very arrogant and defensive. Kevin was stellar from start to finish and our new deck looks great. Service--Kevin was always available and quick to communicate via text or email. He made us feel like we were his only customer and I imagine he provides this level of service to every client. Furthermore, the crew that came for the demolition/deck build was gracious and communicative. They cared for our yard and made sure everything looked spic and span when they left. Quality--The deck looks great and the Trex is a great improvement upon our rotting wood deck. Kevin showed us many options and finishes. We were thankful that he never pushed more expensive items on us. The sales process was never pushy. Timing--We wanted the deck done quickly and the whole process was done within two weeks including the initial consultation, picking materials, visiting the showroom, and construction. The crew was here on time every day and was efficient. As I said, we did a lot of research and chose this company and I'm glad we did. Save yourself some time and use them.
