David Newman at Health Plus has been instrumental in helping me achieve my weight loss goals. He's given me the tools to lose the weight and encourages me along the way. David is nonjudgemental and genuinely wants me to be healthy. The medication prescribed to me has helped immensely with food cravings and portion control. David has taught me how to eat healthier, pack snacks, eat smaller portions more often, drink lots of water, and be aware of how much fat I'm consuming. If I want something sweet, I think about my options and go with something low fat but that still satisfies me. I've been more motivated to ACTUALLY use my gym membership now as well as walk on my lunch break when I can. Having weekly, or bi-weekly checkins with David keeps me on track. I started with HealthPlus shortly over 2 months ago and down 27 lbs so far. I had hoped to be down 40 lbs in 8 months, but I think I might do in in 4-5 months! I've been seeing NP David for a little over a year now and it was the best decision I have made regarding weight loss. I have lost 25% of my body weight(around 50#) and have kept it off. I'm almost to my goal and feel good about being able to keep the weight off long term by following his tips. He taught me that I can eat a lot of foods, but if I choose the right foods I will lose or maintain my weight at goal. Health Plus is an excellent recourse for anybody looking to lose weight for real, even if you never have been able to before. I lost all of my excess baby weight, and my mother-in law lost 40lbs. She is in her 50's and I just had children....supposedly it's supposed to be harder to lose weight with those factors in play. Not so. This works, it's the only thing that has ever worked for me. David Newman is professional, caring, and supportive. It's also affordable. I saw adds for another person called Dr. Darm, and was shocked to learn it would cost so much $$$ to see him.
