Booked an appointment for my father who was out of town in Wichita and feeling pretty under the weather with whatever is going around this time of year. First personal contact, for me, with the staff was over the phone as I had to move his appointment back a day due to a travel complication for him. They were incredibly friendly, understanding and helpful. It was a pleasure to deal with them - made a difficult situation that much easier. Spoke with my dad about his visit 1 & 2 days after the appointment. He was very impressed. Stated that the place was well- appointed, tasteful and immaculate. Several more highlights were: 1. The NP was very professional, genuinely listened to my dad and actually adjusted the IV therapy for his specific needs. 2. Having had many IVs during his time, he stated this was one of the best he has ever had - quick and hardly felt it. 3. After two days, he said he can definitely tell that the IV therapy helped him. He is starting to feel much better, and his head fog is clearing up after being absolutely under the weather for almost two weeks on a three week sickness - according to the locals/doctors. While not having personally visited, based on those two conversations with my dad - I can DEFINITELY recommend this facility! read more

I had several unused birthday gift cards that I was saving for a special spa day. I live out of town, but I visited their website to book my appointment. To my surprise, I found out they had closed without any notice. My thoughtful gifts have now become a source of disappointment. read more

Buyer beware before buying gift certificates from Healing Waters! I received a $200 gift certificate for Healing Waters from my husband 6 months ago. He paid $200 cash for it- no discounts or special offers. I saw online that HW is offering a "Calming Spa Package"- This is a facial and a massage at a discounted price of $235. This seemed like the perfect way to spend my $200 gift certificate so I went to HW and scheduled it for the following week. I wanted to go ahead and pay for it. When I gave the receptionist the $200 gift certificate and my debit card to pay the remaining $35, she said the system would not allow her to apply my gift cert towards the spa package. She went in back to check with someone about it. Upon her return, she said gift cert cannot be used to purchase spa packages but offered the following suggestions: * Pay the $235 using another method and save my gift cert for later. (Did she really think I would want to come back after feeling ripped off?) * Pay the non-package amount of $315 and use my $200 gift card towards it. Paying $80 more than with the package! It is ridiculous that I cannot spend HW gift certificate in the same way that I could spend cash at Healing Waters! The gift cert cost my husband $200 so I should be able to spend it like $200 cash at HW. The Calm Spa Package NOT SO CALMING AFTER ALL! Enjoy the Calm Spa Package which includes a Signature 60 minute massage with a 60 minute luxe facial all for $235, valued at $315! Purchase package in December 2023 with the services in the package expiring June 30, 2024. THEY NEED TO ADD: GIFT CERTIFICATES NOT ACCEPTED AS PAYMENT FOR THIS. read more

WOW! I went with my aunt while visiting on vacation from southern California. The amenities, services, and massage therapist was top notch. I currently have Achilles pain from a tendon injury and the massage therapist really took time and care with decreasing the pain/inflammation and swelling in the area. I have gone quite often to a place in the area I live and this place possibly exceeds it. It's definitely amazing on all levels. I wish I could go many times. read more

Wonderful experiences! I have been to healing water several times for different services. The Ambience and atmosphere is absolutely beautiful and luxurious! Every time I have come out, I've felt pampered, tranquil, and renewed. I cannot think of a time that I was not greeted with a smile, kindness and respect. The ladies in the front have always been helpful and knowledgeable, not to mention personable and kind. As for my services, I cannot think of a place I've had, more professional, better results! read more

I'm a Black woman from Wichita and I'm sadly writing this review, because Healing Waters is a well know establishment. I really went to Healing Waters thinking my service would be great, and it wasn't even close. I made an appointment for a an Essential Facial plus the extra for extractions. Cool. Everything was nice - the ambience and the esthetician. However, I live in Chicago, and came to Wichita to work from home and be with my parents. So I assumed Healing Waters, having Chicago pricing, would leave my face looking FLAWLESS! I was disappointed. I understand that after a facial you have to allow a day for the swelling to go down, cool. BUT I PAID EXTRA FOR EXTRACTIONS AND MY FACE IS STILL BUMPY! TF! The esthetician was concerned about hurting me, and I'm like lady I get facials and this is a cake walk, you're not hurting me! I left with black spots and some of the craters I came in there with. I got my upper lip and chin waxed, I still had visible hair in both places! I had to go somewhere else to have it removed! I was also told that they don't do chemical peels on Black or Asian skin! Again, TF! I've had many chemical peels and know MANY Black and Asian women who have, and the fact that Healing Waters doesn't have a chemical peel that services ALL skin types. Or better yet, try getting just a few chemical peels for both Black and Asian markets, duh! I'm highly disappointed and will not go back for another facial. read more

We vote with our wallets, people. I worked for this company 17 years ago when they were in their old location. They are immoral, cut throat, caddy, unprofessional, and rude. This isn't just coming from me. I have a handful of first hand accounts from other professionals in Wichita that have been burned by them in business. The company and the leadership continue to burn bridges everyday. I have even tried going back for different services with different professionals, in order to support the individuals, not the business. And it's still a negative experience. Save yourself your hard earned money and some disappointment and choose a different local spa. I promise you, there are several really great ones in town. read more

Very nice place, beautiful living room area to chill before your appointment. My Botox always is done perfectly, facials are nice, and the locker rooms are convenient and wonderful. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that sometimes they may pressure you to get higher cost procedure done you really don't want or need. They my skip things that are included in your service and also some of their services are higher priced than other spas but include less. I do like this spa though and will continue to come for Botox and filler but I might go elsewhere where my dollar goes further for facials. read more

Giving 3 stars for the nice view in the waiting room, while waiting for massage and the steam room available. If you are going for anything other than someone to lightly rub oil on you, I wouldn't recommend. Last two times I have gone I specifically told them the areas to focus on which were actually avoided and never even touched. They asked what type of pressure I would like and again appeared to do the opposite, giving no pressure at all. I would not recommend spending the amount of money they charge for any type of therapeutic massage. They have their routine and stick to it. read more

I received a facial and was incredibly disappointed. I paid $200 for nothing. When I got dressed I noticed my make up was still all over my face - I had to grab some tissues to take my makeup off myself before going into the lobby. If you are looking for a great facial this is not the place. This place is a joke and a total rip off. If I could give it zero stars I would. read more

I travel frequently between California and Wichita. I was delighted to find Healing Waters at the recommendation of a friend. I visit Maria, one of the estheticians, nearly every time I visit Wichita about every 2-3 months. She has been practicing for many years and works miracles. My face/skin has never looked so great! She is a miracle worker with those little white bumps (milia) that never go away. She gently opens the pores and cleans them out. After a few treatments with her, they are nearly gone and I have battled with these terrible things for years. My skin is so smooth and soft. I've also had two massages here and both were very good. The environment is bright, calming and overall, a very nice experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking to be pampered and walk away looking and feeling great! read more

I cannot give them enough stars. My mom and I come here every time we both come to town (all the way from California and Oklahoma) The environment is so relaxing and enjoyable. I went recently to get a facial with Leslie. It was an awesome experience. She helped me learn new techniques to use on my face and put me at ease immediately. Amanda (owner) is always ready to serve my needs. She has created a wonderful environment to relax and calm the visitors. Very few spas have the combination of great ownership, skilled workers, and a perfect layout to relax and get centered again. I highly recommend Healing Waters without hesitation. read more

Healing Waters - Day Spas Near Me - Wichita, Kansas

This is one of my favorite spas in wichita. I usually get a package with a facial and a massage. I especially love the "living room" waiting area but particularly the wet sauna for after my appointments! The cherry on top is having 86 cold press attached. They bring in juice samples through the day! read more

I came in last Sunday to redeem my monthly Wellness coupon for a spa service (just one of the many perks of being an employee at Healing Waters!) I received a 60 min signature massage from Paula! LOVED the extra touch of her putting the warm paraffin pack under my neck during my massage. Truly helped me elevate the level of relaxation. Her professionalism and touch was amazing! She targeted all my problem areas and I left feeling better than ever. read more

Takes advantage of workers and uses unlicensed massage therapists to do massages frequently. Shady company with bad management.

Since Covid in March I've experienced a decline in their level of service. Many of their quality staff are no longer there which concerns me. Unfortunately, I have had to go elsewhere for aesthetic services specifically injectables and massage. Friends of mine have commented that they have been charged for membership services not performed, specifically massage. And my favorite therapists are not longer there. The turnover of staff concerns me. I have reluctantly gone elsewhere. read more

I have been working at Healing Waters as a Self-Care Guide for a little over 6 months now and let me tell you, it is such an amazing and welcoming environment. Not only are the managers/CEO awesome but they truly care for you and your well being. They give great hours and not to mention every month with good attendance and performance, you earn a coupon for every department such as spa and medical as well as a product coupon of PureMed, which is a skin care line created by our CEO! I highly recommend working here for any position read more

One of the best day spas I've been to! Their lounge area is absolutely beautiful - large windows overlooking a man made lake. I was already relaxed just sitting in the lounge area, and my massage hadn't even started yet! My massage therapist, Caleb, was great! He applied the just right amount of pressure and always checked in to see if he was too firm. Overall, absolutely worth every penny. Will definitely return! read more

This place is very beautiful but WAY overpriced. A one hour massage is 135.00 and when I got there they started late and didn't make up the time so I paid for 60 minutes and got 40. Also I had a aging facial for 165.00 ridiculous dollars. It was supposed to be a 60 minute service that included a face, shoulder and neck massage but instead it was a mediocre 45 minute service without the massage. I am not sure why this place is so expensive, you can get just as good services for half the price at pretty much anywhere in Wichita. read more

Didn't even get to be a client. I was very clear to both ladies I talked to about what I wanted to do and I was told basically to do what I didn't want to do. I just felt that my business wasn't wanted. Not a very good experience at this place. read more

My cousin booked a massage for a group of 5 a month ago. I was really looking forward to it. My massage person was quite the talker. I wasn't happy about that, but she was really working the knots out of my back so I dealt with it. She talked about being divorced, going to school to be a dental assistant, and her dating. I overlooked all of that. Then things got weird. She told me that you can get cavities from French kissing. She told me that Hillary Clinton was a cannibal. She said that she didn't know if it was true, but that's what she heard. I tried my best not to engage. Then she started in on the President. This expensive massage was supposed to be calming and relaxing. It was not!! When it was time to pay, I was told that there was a required 20 percent gratuity, because we booked as a party of five. Therefore, I was required to give a 20 percent tip on horrible service. I emailed the company, but I have yet to get a response. I would not recommend this place. read more

For my daughter's birthday and for Mother's Day I made appointments for the two of us, and for my daughter's best friend. We had all been really looking forward to this and we're very excited to go. I have MS and I hurt constantly, I was really hoping a relaxing massage would help me feel better. I made us appointments for 2:30 in the afternoon and we arrived 10 minutes early. We spent that 10 minutes if not a little bit more updating paperwork which we had previously done. We filled this out went and got ready and then went in for our treatments. My treatment ended at 3:25. When I went out I saw the girls and I was surprised. They said that they both have been out for about 10-12 minutes. The reason this is upsetting is I paid for them to have the 60 minute facial, that is $50 extra each. I asked three times were they getting the 60 minute facials and was told that they were. Now Healing Water's did have a special going on where you got 20% off when you book 2 services together so it ended up not being as much that on that day, but that is neither here nor there, it still was more expensive than a 50 minute facial. For me I had asked for a 60 minute massage which was $15 more, and I did not receive 60 min. Nor did I get a discount. The girls facials were both very different, I understand that each aesthetician probably has their own way of doing things, but they neither one of them really had very much of a massage involved with their facials. Which was another reason I had paid for the longer facial. These are not spoiled girls they do not get to do this very often, we have only done it a few times as a birthday present. And so then when it is disappointing, it is upsetting. My massage therapist was very good, however it was much too short, and that is not OK. I have reached out to healing Waters three times and have heard nothing back. At this point, I would definitely not recommend healing Waters. I have been to several other places in town and have been treated with respect, received just as good a of a treatment, and was given my moneys worth. They also acted like they were happy to have my business. We are business owners as well and I understand that sometimes you have an off day, and I don't usually go straight to social media, but as I said I have given them three opportunities to get in touch with me and nothing. I have received several automatic return emails from them saying that they would be in touch within 24 hours, and again, nothing. Their total lack of response makes me feel like they really don't care. It's too bad, this used to be the gold standard of spas's. I had heard it was slipping but I was hoping it wasn't true. I recently moved out of state and noticed that the facial cleanser I use regularly was out of stock on the Pure MD website so I took a chance and called Healing Waters to see if they could ship it to me in Iowa. I called and placed my order on April 10th and was told it would take approximately 2 weeks to get to me and it would be shipped out the following Monday (11th) or Tuesday (12th). No problem, I get it! I lost track of time and honestly forgot about it and realized on Sunday May 1st I still hadn't received it. I called on that same day and was told I needed to call back the next day as the manager wasn't working on that particular day. I called back Monday May 2nd to find out my facial cleanser hadn't actually gotten shipped out until April 28th for some reason, and should be arriving any day. Not exactly sure what happened, but the fact that it took 18 days alone to get the product SHIPPED OUT when I was told it would take a day or two is just ridiculous. Needless to say I will not be having it shipped to me again. If the Pure MD website is sold out, I'll just buy a different product t elsewhere. Very disappointed! read more

I had the most relaxing/amazing time. My aunt (who's in a wheel chair) and I both got facials. Not only was the staff beyond friendly, they accommodated her so well and made sure she was comfortable. The staff, estheticians, & nurses were all amazing. I went in with some skin concerns and breakouts. The esthetician who did my facial helped educate me on what I could do to help my skin, recommend other services, & products. I can't wait to go back for more services. read more

This place has lost what made it special. Since moving to their new location the staff have become more rude and less caring. You ask a simple question of the front desk workers and you get spoken to like an idiot. Please save your money and spend it other places. Keeping it simple, keeping it real...Healing Waters does none of this. So if you're looking to feel like Joe or Jean S'hmoe, this is the exact opposite place to do so. The waiting area, where you enjoy a foot soak and a view of Wilson Estates (erm...I mean the lake at Bradley Fair), is stocked with melty mints, fruity waters, various teas and munchable dried fruit and nuts. The chairs are plush enough to nap in, and you just might doze off if you're not totally amped for the upcoming massage/manicure. The massage rooms are private, dimly lit, and, well, average...as are the massages, which their own, would merit Healing Waters a paltry 2-star review. The saving-grace of this spa are the manicures...which are expertly done, and perfectly executed...like the perfect hollandaise sauce, your hands are whipped, rubbed, scrubbed and dipped (in wax) before your nails are dried, painted, shined and shimmered. Your manicure will last as long as you let it...don't bite your nails or open soda cans or do anything stupid like that, and you're guaranteed to have soft hands and nails as pretty as the spring-time fields for the entire season. If not, you can expect about 5 days of solid glamor. read more

I had a 90 min Signature Massage this morning. My masseuse, Sally, was EXCELLENT. I would highly recommend her. My extreme disappointment came with the front desk staff and the fact only the men's locker room was available. Woman's locker room was closed. When I expressed disappointment in not having all services available, the front desk staff was incredibly rude. Such a disappointment to pay high dollar for services you don't receive and then be treated unkindly when you express disappointment. They ruined the experience. read more

While the massage and facial I had today were alright, the customer service at the front desk was absolute trash. They were so rude, it certainly didn't match the environment of the place. Also, the lady that did my make up at the end made me look like a 40 year old crackhead. I'm 20. And she insisted that it was "so pretty" but I'm telling you right now she had no idea what she's doing. Also, there's no way what she was doing was sanitary. I watched her stick the lipgloss stick back in, also the mascara. Super gross. Won't be back. Maybe a massage, but even that wasn't all that great. read more

I went here a few times.. I had much better elsewhere with better rates.. (from a massage point of view) pros: 1. They soak your feet in a warm bath prior to your massage. 2. Their locker rooms are pretty neat.. private rooms and you get to change into a robe before your massage. Then shower, makeup, do your hair after massage. 3. Staff are usually really nice and friendly. cons: 1. Overpriced... for me anyways.. classic 60 min massage goes for $85.. Other places start at $60-70 for their classic. ... (some places also have a relaxing room minus the foot soak) 2. They are always booked. It's pretty much impossible to get in.. Or at least the last few times i tried (because i had a gift card) So i just got my money back... 3. My last few massage's felt like i was being tickled.. even after i asked them to go more firm... *sigh* $85 dollars to be tickled for an hour.... Sorry Healing Waters Fans.. this was just my experience.. =\ read more

READ THIS!!!!!!! I wish I could give more stars. Don't let the negative reviews deter you. The facilities and employees are amazing. I have been a few times and always had a superior experience. You will pay a little more for your spa services than other places, but trust me it is worth every penny. The staff treats you like royalty all the time. The facility is gorgeous. Spa service I have had are: Massage, facial, manicure and pedicure. Their spa is amazing, but they also have a cosmetic clinic that I recently experienced. That is actually what prompted me to write this review. I could not be happier with my experience. I started getting Botox about a year ago. WOW! I thought it would be more expensive than other places, but it wasn't. I called around to get pricing from about 10 different places (clinics, plastic surgery centers, hospitals, even a dentist office) and Healing Waters had a better price than most. My nurse Magen was so informative and relaxing. She wasn't pushy and made sure all of my questions were answered. She is awesome at giving injections, I can't feel any pain. It is a two hour round trip to Healing Waters and have no problem driving that far for this kind of quality. Also, about 4 months ago I had a breast augmentation. I have been thinking about and saving for this procedure for YEARS. And I was finally able to do it. Dr. Killeen is the best. Amazing. Words can't describe. She answered all my questions, talked about all the risks and options and made me feel so comfortable. The end result was even better than my highest expectations. She even answered emails over the weekend after my surgery. I can't express how amazed I am by the results and how wonderful Dr. Killeen is. The cosmetic clinic part of Healing waters is awesome because it offers the relaxation and luxury of a spa instead of the rigid, sterile feel of other plastic surgery centers. -Stacy Hornbeck read more

I went to Healing Waters years ago when it was at a different location. It was intimate and relaxing, the best gift my husband would give me. They moved to a bigger nicer facility with a view of a lake and waterfall. But they also increased their services, suddenly the "relaxation room" is now called a "living room" and you can be sitting there in just your robe beside other people "not so compromised" in their suits waiting for a Botox Injection or something else other than a SPA treatment. Today while I sat in my robe, a fully dressed young man came in with a professional looking camera and sat down! Then when I went to use my gift card, they said I owed more money (My husband and I had come in December to use a gift card that I was about to expire on on the first of the year. I did not know that he had purchased another for my Christmas gift.) they said that I had used my Christmas gift card on December 2 and that the other gift card had just expired. It seems like common sense to use up the oldest gift cards before accessing the balance of the newest card. Then on top of this, even though you have a gift card, they want your credit card for a $35 appointment holding fee (which in December was held on yet another gift card instead of being refunded to me.) I received a very nice massage from Linda, but my relaxation was gone by the time I walked out of the business. read more

They treated us politely and addressed and introduced themselves in a professional manner aside from the scheduling mishap from the prior review I am pleased for their service of our couples massage. Quality materials and creative techniques add towards the experience of relaxation. There are many amenities to a locker towel service and a shower and steam room as well but only for the women's. Also plenty of beverages if need be and a great view out on a cloudy day. The atmosphere is definitely part of the price you pay for and they provide it in a fairly convenient location.
