I had my first massage with Dianne yesterday and wasn't disappointed. I have scoliosis so it has always been important for me to find a massage therapist who knows the body more than your average therapist. Dianne's technique in her deep slow rhythmic movement along the muscles was relaxing and healing. I went to Diane with terrible sciatica. She welcomed me and asked deeply insightful questions to focus her care: kinds of shoes, age of mattress, cause of condition. I now have her voice in my head to go with my mother's and wife's: sit up straight. Said that she put post-it notes around her house to remind her to sit up straight. I've done that and find that it is very helpful. She explained the interrelation of muscles and ligaments and how I could care for them. Dianne is an incredible massage therapist. She really knows her stuff. She understands the body's muscles, ligaments etc. She is incredibly strong and can give you a deep tissue sports massage but is also great at adjusting the strength to your preference, so she can also do a light, relaxing massage if that is what you want. The space is clean and comfortable, and nicely sized so it doesn't feel too crowded. If you want a quiet space, she can do that, or if you prefer to chat the whole time she is a great conversationalist with lots of interesting stories. She can do it all! read more

Dianne is a genius! I know for sure my body will feel better after time on her table. If you are looking for a zen, spa-like experience this might not be for you. However, if you have any issues with muscles, have been injured in a sport or workout, have over used muscles (sore back, tight hips or hip-flexors, that annoying kink in your neck, shoulders and hands ache from desk/computer work) she is a miracle worker! Dianne is incredibly knowledgeable about the human body and the muscle system. She has helped me figure out why certain spots continue to be tight and ways I can change the way I move to avoid it. I have had many massages trying to get rid of problem areas. I finally found someone, Diane. She has found and release various problem areas in my back and neck. Since I have had these problems for so long, these areas are extremely tight, and Diane has worked on me and has gotten to the root of the problem. Finally, after some work my back and neck are feeling quite happy. It makes getting up in the morning a lot brighter. I am so happy I have found release, now I am able to sleep better. read more

Both massages I had with Dianne were about a half hour in length although I paid for an hour. The groupon massage, I can kind of understand that she wants to get her advertising "pitch" in there and get you on the package plan or the debit your bank account every month, so she spent a good amount of time talking, but the next one hour massage started a half hour late (she squeezed in someone else) and then lasted 30 min again. She doesn't schedule time in between her clients to change the sheets and take payment so she is cutting every appt short by at least 15 minutes. She also talks incessantly about her daughter, her money problems, etc. She left her cell phone on so you could hear it buzz and then she would check her messages. (Unprofessional) All this plus having a massage inside of a health club while there is a racquet ball game going on next door or a thumping aerobics class is just not relaxing. A Groupon deal that I'm glad I purchased! When I saw 'another massage offer' on Groupon come through, I was skeptical, but as usual I checked out the Yelp reviews to see what people had to say. One thing that caught my eye is that her massage is really more of a sports/healing massage rather than just a 'hang out in the spa and relax kind of deal'. As a very active dancer with a lot of injuries, I was very interested in this. My physical therapist had recommended massage in conjunction with their treatments, but most massage therapists don't really focus on your trouble zones - at least not like Dianne did. I was running late - just a note, parking during peak gym or high school hours (as it's immediately next door) will cause delays, so allow extra time if you think either might be going on. Dianne was sympathetic about my tardiness - as I was concerned she would think I would be a no-show or rude about it... she wasn't so I was put at ease immediately. I filled out some paperwork detailing my problem areas and medical issues. We had a thorough conversation about my dance injuries and physical therapy sessions. I could tell she knew her stuff. She warned me that she would be talking me through this so I wasn't expecting the 'fall asleep at the massage table' experience. As she performed the massage, she talked to me about the problem points she was finding, how they could be causing pains I'd been having, and worked them out. It.felt.amazing! I felt like something was actually being done to help my issues! She spent extra time on my legs as I've been dealing with injuries caused by calf tightness. After the massage I felt so much better! I met Diane through Groupon as I am having serious shoulder blade pains. She is by far the most experienced sports massage therapist I met so far. She definitely knows the body well and what she's doing. My husband tried her as well (he's a pretty picky kind of customer) and his first words when he got home were : This is like nothing we tried before, she knows what she's doing! Now..if you are looking for an "oily relaxing spa type massage" this is not the place..Diane is one who will work your muscles to untie pain and let your blood flow..you feel sore afterwords but nothing that ice can't heal. I had a Groupon for a 90 min sports massage at this location. I've had many massages and I get particular when grading a new masseuse. My Thursday morning appointment was booked with Bianca. She was FANTASTIC. She expertly found my trouble spots and worked them with the right amount of pressure. But she was smart to also dwell on those other areas we love, forget we have, but wish we could get more. Such as forearms, quads and hamstrings. And for once, a masseuse who did not skimp on my feet though they weren't priority. I rarely doze but she got me to that relaxed state thanks to her magical hands and innate ability to know where to focus. I highly recommend Bianca and I hope to see her again. It's a bit far for me unfortunately. The place is located in the downstairs section of a corner house (converted to a business). Small but cozy and as professional as a massage place can be. Private rooms, heating pads, warm blanket and clean sheets. A mirror to check yourself before you depart and hooks for your belongings. There is street parking an a lot next door. read more

I visited Joe for an hour long deep tissue massage today, my only complaint was that I wish I'd done an hour and a half instead of the hour! He has fabulous hands and did wonders on the knots in my feet, shoulder blades and neck. I did not experience any pushy sales tactics by him thanks receptionist and, was happy to book another appointment with him in a couple of months. The place was very cute, clean, and most of all it was quiet. I normally prefer to get a massage in a non-spa environment because there is nothing worse than hearing people yap incessantly over the hum of a foot spa while enjoying a massage. I am an Ironman Triathlete, mountain biker, and ultra runner, so I've had my fair share of sports massages and treatment. Dianne delivered one of the best that I have ever had!! Right away I learned she was a cyclist and bad a$$ athlete herself; which is very important to me to know the person treating me know exactly what I put my body through. I felt very comfortable with her and I really liked how she would verbalize what she was doing, or what she was feeling in my muscles. I want to know where my "problem areas" are, and what I could do in the future to improve upon those areas. She offers a discount on hourly massages if you buy a pack of 6 or 8. I was gifted one of the AAA-special priced 90min massages. Due to challenges such as illness and trying to book to "spa day" with my girlfriend, it wasn't until today that I was able to get my massage. First thing to note: the location is DOWNSTAIRS. This is something to note for those with challenges doing stairs. The entry door (as it's an older home, maybe original to LG) is narrow, so do not be in a hurry. I arrived on time, was greeted and offered some water to sip while filling out the client survey. Jenn was perky and polite. The treatment room was plenty warm and dimly lit which is what I was looking for today. Jenn reviewed with me what I was hoping to get out of the massage, and she then left the room so I could undress and get on the table. Table linens were warm, which since it was almost raining felt really good. Jenn came back in and did a really good job with deep tissue massage on my key spots...90 min felt a lot longer, but in all it was a very good massage. At the end, she did struggle with the "sales pitch" -- I'm not in a position to afford a monthly massage right now, and I felt despite the verbal cues and body language from me, she continued because the owner was also there. I got a Groupon from my sister for my birthday back in May, and I made very good use of it ;) I was able to make an appointment 2 days online before the day I wanted as I didn't have any gender preference. Like most of the reviewers here, I bought my first massage at HTT through groupon. Yes, I did experience what some of the reviewers here said about Dianne talking through the massage. I'm used to having a quiet relaxing massage so I wasn't too happy about it either. I have to admit though. She gave a great massage. She knew her physiology and I can feel it as she worked out my knots. My aches and pains are completely gone at the end of the massage. After we were done, the lady at the receptionist asked if I would like to purchase a packet of 8 massages. I'm not sure I wanted to commit to such a large expense up front so I told her that I'd have to think about it first. Besides, I was also on the fence because I'm not sure if the great massage outweigh the talking. She didn't push me to buy it and I left. After I had time to think about it for a few days, I decided to go back and schedule another appointment with Dianne. Yes, the massage was that great! Oh btw, the online reservation system is awesome too! I love that I can schedule an appointment at my convenience without talking to anyone, see my upcoming appointments, or cancel them when I can't make it (with enough lead time, of course). Anyway, I went back for the massage today. Before the massage started, we spoke about her talking during the massage. She explained to me that it is her style to talk during a massage. She explained that she's in this business because she wants to help heal her clients. When she finds something about your body, she has a compulsion to tell her clients what she found and if possible, educate them how to treat it. Other times, she talks because she wants distract them to work out a knot that may be painful. If you don't want her to talk during your massage, then just tell her ahead of time, or schedule a massage with another therapist. You're not limited to just one. I chose Dianne because I get a great massage. Dianne also mentioned during my first appointment that she has a licensed acupuncturist on her staff. I've been looking for a good acupuncturist so I decided to book an appointment with Saralyse a couple of weeks ago. She's GREAT! Very unassuming, friendly, and not snobbish at all about her acupuncture knowledge. She doesn't have a few patients that she treats at the same time like other acupuncturists. It was just ME! I feel special :) I had tons of questions about why she's doing certain things and what their benefits are, terms that she used that I'm not familiar with, and she took the time to explain each one, unlike my previous acupuncturist! I mentioned an issue that I'd like her to treat and I saw results that very night after treatment. It was weird but hey I don't complain when it works. I highly recommend Saralyse! My wife and I have been going to Dianne for the past 8 months or so and really enjoy her service. At your request you can have an informative and interactive massage, where she explains to you the body mechanics and how it relates to your aches and pains or a relaxing spa massage where there's silence and calming music. I was looking for pain relief and went online to yelp to get some recommendations. I had injured my back and was on high doses of medication. I went to Dianne at Healing Through Touch Massage and expected just a regular massage that will comfort me for few hours. What I experienced after her deep tissue was pain relief and remedy for my pack pain. I was off meds immediately. Her hands heals and she is so knowledgeable about her field of work that while she is giving you massage, she also gives you advise on how to manage chronic pain syndromes and that is more than just a massage. I also recommend the acupuncture at her place. The lady Sarahlise is extremely compassionate and caring and again very professional in her field. I had a Groupon and chose the therapist strictly on availability of my schedule. I happened to choose Joe, who did an amazing job. Although I told him the areas I thought I'd like him to focus on, he found some others, which I'd forgotten to mention. As soon as he started working on them, he knew he needed to spend time there. I'm so glad he did. It was a deep tissue massage and he apologized if any of it was too uncomfortable. Though we agreed I could have told him if it was. The place is cute, quiet, and clean. The receptionist was friendly and was very good about helping me find the place - although she didn't say it, it is right across from Manresa, which is only helpful to foodies :-) Parking was easy - lots of lots in Los Gatos. Dianne is amazing! I had a frozen shoulder. My physician recommended PT. After 4 sessions of PT my frozen shoulder was much worse. And the PT cost much more per session than Dianne - ouch! Then I found Dianne... she gave me posture advice, suggested which supplements to take to help the healing process and a top notch, deep tissue massage that really helped the problem in the first session. Then 2 more sessions with Dianne and my shoulder was fixed! She truly knows how to manipulate you and use the right modality of massage to fix the problem, quickly. She has a deep understanding of anatomy, health and wellness. She's active and fit, so she understands the needs of athletes, and the not-so-athletic. She really knows what she's doing. I bought a 90 minute massage for myself and a 60 minute massage for my boyfriend. We both had wonderful experiences. We've had many massages before and this place ranks as the best. This place is unique. It's not a beauty spa with expensive lotion rubs. They provide sports/healing massages and they know their physiology. My trouble zone is near my shoulder blades and back of the neck, tight with lots of knots. My massage therapist focused in on it and was able to help smooth out my knots. The place is very clean, has nice décor. a relaxing atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place for anybody who wants a real massage. read more
