I realized that during that sessions, I would share personal things as one would expect to in a therapy session, and after stopping at times to hear feedback, she seemed like she would be frozen when I looked at them waiting to respond. She would then quickly scramble to gather a few words, literally stuttering while responding. This told me she was tuning out everything I was saying and was barely listening. Can you imagine? Did more harm than good. Also beware: I was told the sessions would be covered by insurance and "not to worry about the payment for the first few visits, as the insurance usually clears it and each session will only cost between $20 to $30. This was untrue, and the front desk worker was uninformed of the processes and sharing incorrect information. Now they are calling every week to collect $300 and charging more each month, all the while I told them I was a student with financial struggles from the very beginning. Unethical and wrong. Do not come here.

I lost my Medicaid insurance, I had enough of my medication for a while so I didn't follow up as they say I should have, all while having NO insurance. I was starting to get low on my medication so I called for a refill. I was given the WORST treatment EVER I was told by "Dr Welch" that I was a con and trying to "beat the system" Um NO its called had NO $ insurance so why come in? I was on Wellbutrin and you can get some pretty awful withdrawals if you just stop the medication. It been a year and a half and I STILL cannot believe they are still in business! AWFUL

I've tried CBT, Art therapy, Counseling, and just about every medicine under the sun during that time with little to no results. I was convinced I was just going to have to live a life of unexplainable sadness and anxiety. Then I stumbled across Alternative Therapeutics and learned about neurofeedback. After speaking with a doctor there and doing a little research I decided to give it a go. This was the best decision I've ever made and the results were nothing short of a miracle. They taught me mindful meditation, controlled breathing and performed neurofeedback on me twice a week for ten weeks. Upon completion of these 20 sessions my sleep schedule was now normal and consistent, with very little fatigue during the day. This was a huge change as I was previously sleeping 12 hrs a night and tired ALL day. I was missing out on a lot of my life and just going through the motions. This is no more, I sleep 7-8 hours a night and feel energetic ALL day. I was also very sad without any real reason the majority of the time and feeling hopeless. This slowly subsided over our time together to the point that I have absolutely zero symptoms of my depression. This was a first in 10 years!!!! One year later I am still completely symptom free from my depression. I was able to get off of all the medication I was taking, which was exhilarating for me and helped me lose 65lbs. Weight that the medicine put on me. I think of my life on two timelines now, BNF (Before Neurofeedback) and ANF (After Neurofeedback) because the two are like night and day. The staff here is highly intelligent, dedicated, and compassionate. They made me feel very comfortable and were wonderful at explaining and guiding me through this process. I highly recommend their services to anyone struggling with depression and anxiety!
