I cannot recommend this place enough, Ally is amazing at what she does. She takes her time to listen to you and your body to better determine how to treat you and help you best. The type of work I do daily is very physical, plus after a couple of knee surgeries, stretching, foam rolling and exercises have only helped me so much. I knew I needed a place like this, but finding the right one for you can be hard and overwhelming. I will forever be thankful to Ally for helping me unlock and loosen up all those tight spots I had. It was my first time trying reiki and I had a very positive experience. I tried both the Reiki Healing Session. Since it was my first time and Cintia made sure I was comfortable, instructed me about the process, and the rest was just me relaxing and enjoying the experience. In another occasion I tried the Multisensory Crystal Bed and it was one of the most connecting to myself experience I have ever had. I love how everything is so clear to what is going to happen and how we are guided through the session. The healing center is located at a busy street, However, you are never distracted by the exterior sounds of the streets and cars. I love how clean and peaceful it feels once you enter the studio. Came here for a Saturate your Senses event - 90 minutes of relaxation which includes a Sound bath, Reiki & Essential Oils. It is a truly magical experience to de-attach from all the stresses of daily life and to be brought forth to a place of peaceful rest and relaxation. Ian used vibrational instruments and crystal bowls to bathe us in harmonious, healing sounds. Ali surrounded us with the scents of soothing oils and gave each of us Reiki, throughout the sound bath. I'm forever grateful to Aly for helping me cure my snoring! Here's the story of how that came to be. I spent 10 years attempting to stop snoring without success. I tried so many things: nasal strips, a CPAP, mouth tape, sinus massage, neti pot, antihistamines, herbal supplements, etc... still, I kept snoring and struggling with daytime fatigue. An ENT recommended a surgery known as a "septoplasty with turbinate reduction". The idea was to correct my very slightly deviated septum and cut out part of my swollen nasal tissue with the goal of improving my nasal airways. Here's why I hesitated to commit to surgery: 1. the surgery would have entailed a potentially long & painful recovery, 2. it would have cost around $15k, 3. it came with no guarantees that it would work, and a likelihood that even if it did work the condition could come back in a few years, 4. at the end of the day, it was yet another way to treat the symptoms of my chronic nasal congestion without addressing the root cause. I was really frustrated with my snoring, and I almost went through with the surgery. My friends were telling me to just do it. Joe Rogan talks about how the surgery changed his life. My gut, however, told me to try one more holistic route first. I'll never forget that fateful moment where I opened up Google Maps, searched for "holistic healer", and discovered The Healing Collective just a few blocks from my house in OB. From the start, Aly was fun to work with! She was so thorough in her approach to understanding my situation, truly embodying the 5th Habit ("seek to understand, then to be understood"). Eventually we came to the diagnosis of mold toxicity as the cause of my chronic nasal congestion. She created a Shift Scription: a 7 page document detailing a holistic regimen for me to follow. When I say "holistic" I mean she thought of everything! She advised me on everything from herbal supplements, tinctures, and tea (all of which she provided), which foods to eat and which to avoid, certain yoga poses and breathwork techniques to practice daily, which kind of plants to keep in my room, a review of all the products I was using (like soaps, shampoos, etc) along with guidance on which to swap out, and more. With Aly's encouragement, I started following the Shift Scription. Within 3 months, my snoring was GONE. We're talking 0 snoring. Before, I was snoring every night for 5-12 minutes (tracked with the Sleep Cycle app). Under the Shift Scription, the swelling in my nostrils reduced so much that I could breathe through both sides for the first time in maybe ten years. No $15k surgery needed! No bloody, swollen nose. Just holistic healing provided by a master of her craft. Aly showed me the power of carefully-chosen herbs, breathwork, and an intentionally crafted lifestyle regimen to enable my body to heal itself. A year later, my sleep & breathing is better than ever. Since then, Aly has supported me on other health issues like back pain and skin issues. She's earned her "trusted advisor" status in my book and I recommend her to friends and family often. I came into The Healing Collective when I was already in a pretty good space, but felt like I hit a plateau of the depth of my my mind that I was able to access during my meditations and in clearing my own energetic hygiene. I knew there was more within me but wasn't able to quite get there, that led me to The Healing Collective. During the reiki sessions and by applying the inner work and meditations Aly suggested in between our sessions, I was able to work through blockages and belief systems that I never had awareness that they were even there prior and replace them with more empowering ones. It's outfitted with everything needed to take great care of you, whether it's a yoga class with live music by Aly or a private reiki session with Rylee. I've done both and give 5 stars! I also participated in multiple Raha sessions. It's a lot of fun, very activating and a great workout! Soma holds space for what transpires, a kind of Gestalt experience of vocal (and physical) yet non-verbal communication. It's difficult to explain, but amazing. I have been looking to get a massage and was interested in cupping also. A dear friend recommend Aly at The Healing Collective in Ocean Beach. He said he had been going to her for massage and cupping and was very impressed with her. I had to try it out. I walked down the alcove and knocked on the door and was greeted by the sweetest person who welcomed me in. I felt as though I was transported into the most relaxing and calming environment and immediately felt so safe and taken care of. I've only done a few group sessions so far, yet they are always an experience to say the least. From the beginning meditation that I find is a fine start to sessions, to a complete self exploration and awareness of yourself at the end of a group session. I haven't done private Reiki sessions yet; yet I look forward to saving for one of them. Session prices are a little steep for me, yet they are pretty worth it once I attend and pay for it. I'll write another review after utilizing this a bit more in the near future. Until then, four stars. The extra star to be considered after more patronage and attendance. Elena is an absolute Angel! My second Reiki session saw me entering into her sanctuary with a great deal on my mind and a lot of burden. I believed it was the right time to once again schedule a session and further break down the blockage that was occurring in my mind and body. Like any other holistic healing medicine and practices; it takes consistent dedication to show it's true virtue as it peels back the layers of build up of whatever troubles you both physically and mentally. One moment that stood out during this session was when she held an essential oil under my nose that was so potent, it sent me through a visually beautiful vortex of shapes and colors. The guided mediation portion lead me into a peaceful setting of a nature setting in a beautiful forest. When asked to visualize animal guides along this healing journey; past family pets (dogs & cats) appeared at my side. It made me shed tears of joy to be reconnected with some of the best friends I've had in life for a brief moment once again. The whole guided procession of moving down the path brought about peace and tranquillity in me that was certainly needed. Having friends like Elena, who are practitioners of these methods, reassures me that I can heal from past trauma and pain. Leaving this session, I noticed my senses were heightened slightly by it as I walked down the street taking in the sights and smells of the daily beach town life. I think we all hit times when things just get too hard to deal with. I hit one of those intense periods a few months ago and was looking for ways to heal myself. A friend recommended the Healing Collective. I had never been to a sound bath (had to look it up) or what Reiki was (had to look that up, too). I was trying to suspend any expectations and just arrived there one Saturday evening. I cannot really explain what happened, but the experience was completely and unexpectedly transformational. There were channels opened to the healing that I needed that I did not know were there. Describing it would not give any justice to what this does. Ian (the sound bath facilitator) and Aly (the Reiki healer) were AMAZING. The space they create for people to mend their souls and bodies is a blessing. I won't say any more here.
