The place has something extra special that I've only now been able to identify after having to put down my kitty of 17 years. It's that they are not only superb doctors (and nurses and techs and office staff) to your pets, they are also compassionate and kind, empathic human beings to the pet owners as well. They consider not only your pet as their client, but you as well. Due to Covid-19, when it came time to put my sweet kitty to rest due to a tumor, I was not permitted in the building. Instead, Dr. Julia came outside to the picnic table in the back with the tools she needed as well as a box of tissues, and sat with me as I held my girl and cried as she was sedated. And we talked. And Dr. Julia remained with me as long as I needed. Just listening and lending support. A week or two later, I received a condolence card made of wildflower seeds with words of support from the entire staff. They didn't just sign their names. They offered words of condolence and messages that said "thanks for giving her such a wonderful life". These people are really special. Thinking back on the time when my other cat, Mr. Kitty was at the hospital for a urinary blockage and Dr. Charlie called me multiple times a day with updates on his condition and then arranged for his surgery with another vet who specialized in the surgery he needed, I can't help but feel that this group is extraordinary. Oh, and did I mention that a member of their staff adopted my friend's dog after she lost her battle with depression? Yeah, there's that, too.

When we went yesterday, we were greeted warmly. Everyone was so friendly, and when I explained that money was tight for me right now, they were very understanding, and I was not pressured into add-ons that I did not want. The treat ment for bordatella took just seconds, the exam was thorough, and CoCo got a treat with squeeze cheese!! Which sealed the deal. This is my new vet. They were all obviously true animal lovers. They even support a local animal shelter by keeping some adoptable (darling) cats right out in an open enclosure for all to see, and hopefully fall in love with. They have just upgraded the clinic to an Animal Hospital, and they are completely staffed and prepared with the lastest in diagnostic equipment. Highly Recommend! (Sorry Coco peed in the corner on the way out, I offered to clean it up, but they would not hear of it!)

The procedure failed within days, and instead of taking responsibility, I was told to pay again in full for another attempt with no guarantees. And my cat ended up with a worse condition than before the surgery. It felt like the focus was on selling a procedure rather than making the best medical decision. I would not trust this clinic with complex or elderly cases.

Dr. Shelby graciously agreed to see her without an appointment. She explained everything to me in words I could understand and put Katie on a whole series of medications. I was so distraught that I might lose her and now there's hope. If your beloved pet needs an ophthalmologist please don't go anywhere but Vet Vision Center and see Dr. Reinstein. To top off the care and expertise while waiting for your appointment the facility couldn't be more beautiful. The plants, lighting and even a coffee bar make the whole experience easier.

Unfortunately we were not made aware of all the treatment options available. When my dog was diagnosed, we were told by Dr. JESSICA AUSTIN, that there were only 2 options for treatment. One was drainage ( I won't get into the details for people with a weak constitution) and the other was surgery. On the day of the surgery, my dogs bloodwork came back with concerning results. We were told that it was risky for an older dog who is slightly anemic to be sedated. This is when I learned about another option besides surgery. DR. Amanda Straining is the one you want to request when visiting NHVH. She is incredibly honest and explained that there was another option that did not require surgery and only costs a small fraction of what the surgery estimate was. Needless to say I was very upset that we were not told this by Dr. Jessica Austin. We were told that my dog needed surgery that could cost up to $4000.00. I can't speak to why we weren't told about this alternative option. All I can say is that it seems Dr. Austin is more motivated by $ rather than doing the right thing. It makes me concerned and upset that Dr. Austin was ok with putting a very old dog under anesthesia when an alternative treatment was available. Bottom line... Ask for Dr.Struening and run the other way if by chance you get Dr.Austin. This is the last place I ever thought I would review. I am a huge dog lover and we treat ours like family because that's what they are. When things like this happen, Ive learned to not be silent. I hope this review helps.

On Wednesday June 16, I submitted an application for adoption of a wonderful little dog, which I then supplemented with information in an email and phone call to their office. I read all of their online information so I understood there is a review and approval process, that they review phone calls once a day, and that there is also a process of going to the facility itself by appointment only and waiting outside until it is the appointed time due to Covid. I did not expect an immediate response. On Saturday June 19, Diane called me and I learned that the little dog that I was interested was already adopted. However Diane and I had a long discussion concerning the type of dog that I would be interested in. She shared that there were some new arrivals from the night before and would I consider coming in to see them at 3pm that afternoon. She shared that the Director - Annie, has a keen knack for matching rescues with individuals considering adoption. She then called me back to say that she spoke with Annie and that she was looking forward to meeting me. I arrived on time for my scheduled appointed and waited in my car until Annie came for me and she took me to the portico and said she would return with the first little rescue for me to consider. She brought me little Celia, she gave us time to acquaint ourselves, and it was a perfect fit. Celia chose me, she settled down on my lap, it was a wonderful experience. There was no need to see another prospective little dog, I adopted Celia. Working within rescue is very difficult, animals arrive from a wide range of backgrounds and needs, all of which is time consuming to process and care for as is working with those that may want to either board or adopt. Both Diane and Annie are very caring and competent professional women who care deeply for these animals and for those interested in them. Little Celia is doing just fine, she has settled down and is extremely happy. She is house-trained and has the most wonderful personality. I had no prior experience with either Diane or Annie, I highly recommend them to guide you in the process, and further suggest that if you are unable to board or adopt a rescue from them to please consider donating to Animal Alliance so that they can continue to save other animals in need.

Adoption events were always great to attend and everyone was always warm and welcoming and you can clearly tell the volunteers are there to help the dogs get adopted. The volunteers really made Animal Alliance a positive experience and are really the only reason I am giving the shelter 2 stars. They are truly trying to help the animals there get adopted. The owner Annie, however, is incredibly rude. I never had a good interaction with her. No one is allowed inside the shelter and she will yell at you to move away from the door if you get too close. One of the dogs I had fostered ended up needing medicine and when I brought him to the shelter she was rude and dismissive. The puppy did eventually get medicine he needed. From other volunteers, I have heard stories about Annie preventing dogs from getting adopted out and signs of abuse towards the dogs. Overall, if you ever go to Animal Alliance, I hope you never meet her. The shelter itself, while no one is allowed inside, smells AWFUL. Any time the door opens, there is a smell that comes out and it's disgusting. I would not be surprised if the conditions of the shelter are not very cleanly. The smell sticks to any person or dog they bring out. I once met a potential foster dog and it was brought outside for me to meet and the dog smelled like feces and I had to cover my nose. Both of the dogs I ended up fostering went straight into the bath when I got them because the smell was too strong.

When I informed Cats Amazing, which rescued my cat and where I adopted her from, they recommended Dr. Wooley at Cats Only immediately. Dr. Wooley has successfully treated another cat that was severely anemic and she was able to the same to save my cat after two weeks of treatment. Her team was great in communication and took wonderful care of my cat during boarding. I cannot thank her and her wonderful team enough for their care of my cat. From now on, Dr. Wooley and her team will be our family vet for our three cats.

I made it abundantly clear when scheduling that I would need to be given Oxytocin in the event of complications which I was told 'of course, no problem!'. I took her on February 9th, received her radiographs and was then made to wait about 25 minutes where they could 'see about the prescription'. Once I was given it, I went through Chewy to order it (on February 9th) and staff neglected to approve the request for two entire days full well knowing Bay was due on Friday, February 13th and I stressed it's importance. I made phone calls, sent texts and was told a doctor would get back to me. I then was told it was my responsibility to upload the script to Chewy (which I couldn't find anyway) - which I then contacted Chewy and was told that was incorrect and they had been waiting for my vet approval this entire time, Chewy even called them and received no response. Regardless if I had the script or not, it was not my responsibility and the office did not prioritize my pregnant dog nor her puppies. I eventually was contacted on February 11th around 4pm by the practice manager who told me her staff did not feel comfortable prescribing the medication anymore after I spent $400 on the vet visit and now wasted two days. Fast forward February 12th - Bay goes into labor and as I expected, needs assistance from the drug; but I do not have it because Doylestown Vet had my hands tied and denied my dog the care she needed for a successful labor. I make an emergency trip to the ER (an additional $900 expense) she delivers 3 deceased puppies and 3 living puppies. We head home and now her labor is stalled again and the ER asked me to use the Oxytocin my vet should have responsibility prescribed me as standard repro practice. But here I am, unprepared because Doylestown chose ignorance over the reality of whelping puppies. I understand vet school and ethics, but if you care for some field experience, there's a big reality check here at my house because of your lack of concern for myself, my dog and her puppies. Shame on you for putting me in this position, stalling to tell me you had a change of mind about my dog's care, and then running down the clock so I had limited options on how to proceed finding her the care she needed. Edited to add, we are now a week out from Bay's delivery and I have had zero follow up from this practice. Ethics? I don't think so.

They provide transportation for your pet to and from their boarding stay and even provide daily pictures of your pet via text. We were very happy with the arrangements until, in the middle of our vacation, we were told that our dog had an episode of weakness and was rushed to our vet whose information we provided at booking. Andrew stayed with our pet and transported him to the overnight Emergency vet for observation. Everything turned out fine and Andrew picked up our pet to finish his stay. Andrew went out of his way and not only did everything for our pet that we could have done, but he also kept us informed and comforted. The integrity, compassion, and dedication that PetsAreInn demonstrated during our time of deep concern helped us greatly and made us happy we chose a stay with a family in their home versus in a traditional pet kennel. For the price that we have paid, I was hoping to give a raving review. First, I want to acknowledge…read morethat when calling for my reservation, the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. However, we were less than impressed as new guests upon arrival. The staff was not as welcoming and the expectation that was set while making the reservation fell pretty flat. We decided to try the resort one additional time because of the amount of positive reviews, but the second time also left us in disappointment. It was extremely difficult to get through to anyone when calling to check on our dogs. When making my reservation, I was told there would be communication about how our dogs were doing. This has not happened, so we tried to call, but the phones are not answered. I received no response to my voicemail or emails while I was traveling. The report cards that we received were duplicates even though our dogs have very different personalities. One of our dogs came home not feeling well, although his report card said he was "rambunctious". I hesitated before writing this very honest review because I may give the resort one additional opportunity to change my perspective. I have attached a copy of each duplicated report card that was received for my dogs as well as the email that was left without a response. Consideration should really be given to the offerings that are promised if there is not capacity to provide quality results/products.
