Heads up! The next two reviews will probably be my harshest. Went to Healing Oak Crystals yesterday thinking it'd be filled with some great energy. Ha! Overly excited, under impressed. I walked in, said my hello, didn't quite hear anything back. Looked at all from right to left of store, from the cases to the shelves and everything in between looking for an amethyst stone ready to insert, wire, chain or string. None. Not once did I hear a, "anything in particular looking for, can I help you find something, let us know if you need any help." Zip, Zero, NADA. One lady sat there cross-legged on a chair, pretending to read, wearing an East Indian or Hindu type (costume, quite frankly), doing her absolute darndest to look the part. What a JOKE! How's that working for you? The other heavy set lady was at her little work station, working away. I asked if she had the inside to a certain bell I wanted, thinking SURELY she and her many tools could switch one out. Nope! I get a, "I don't have any extra clankers." So I bought my second choice as I tried to make friendly conversation by asking the dog's name. Murphy. I said, "that was my pig's name." No response, so I told Murphy the dog my pig was watching over him from above. Un F'n believable! I got in my vehicle and told God, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?! A shop that represents all things, love, light, health and healing with two miserable employees that were FAR FROM IT?! If you are a highly evolved soul, STEER CLEAR. I can't exactly say, "if looks could kill I'd be dead," because not once was I acknowledged let alone spoken to. Thank God for whatever else they have going on there because it would not stay in business with such vile customer service. Not in Simi long, but aside from essential stores, not exactly thrilled at what it has become. Stars? NEGATIVE, but obviously can't post without choosing. read more

I was on the hunt for worry stones for years and came across this store on Yelp and thought I would give it a try. I tend to shy away from crystal stores, in general, because I don't really believe in any of the metaphysical stuff -- I just like the way soft, smooth stones feel in my hand when I'm stressed. When I entered it was quite busy and full of very lovely people, but this gave me the opportunity to really look around and take my time. I was never pressured or approached to purchase something I didn't want and I browsed and browsed until I found exactly what I wanted. When I was rung up, the store owners greeted me and let me know about upcoming events and their reward program. One of the nicest stores I have been in with nice products as well as nice people working- I actually went in for charcoal disks and walked out with so many more items. I have never been in the store before and I was treated exceptionally well. Upon opening the door I was immediately greeted by 2 individuals working at the front desk area-The two ladies actually were working on something and actually lifted their heads up and genuinely greeted me with big smiles. They have all of the usual suspects but they do have quite a few crystals that I do not normally see in other shops some of the rarer harder to find ones. The prices are quite good and fair for the size and the quality (sometimes you go into a crystal shops and the prices for like a tigers eye which is pretty common is astronomical-not this shop). The store is small but beautifully organized! you never feel squished or squashed. When I was in there there were 5 other customers and I didn't feel I was crowded. There was a woman who was at the front desk she had a very thin frame and had glasses on-she was a wealth of information!!! What I really loved about the store is that they have a nice mix between rough, towers and tumbles...I love rough material-so I was pretty excited. They also carry incense, some jewelry (pre-made-I did not see any drilled pieces). They also have these little cards in front of all their crystals with a bit of information about the crystal that you can take with you (especially if you are new to crystals). When I read about the gossiping from 2 other other customers it did give me pause-but all the positive reviews outweighed those 2 (and maybe they had new employees that did not work out or were was a misunderstanding who knows)-As far the gossiping about people- this is the gossip I heard-a little family had come in when I was in the store-they had a little boy he was very cute and well behaved-and there is a back room for employees only and he must have poked his head in there-and quickly realized he didn't need to be in there...the employees talked about how cute the peeking little boy with the mohawk was. That was it on the gossip front. There is a parking lot in front of the shop-so no need to worry about parking. Educational and fun! It was worth the 30 minute drive to visit. The first time, I went in just to browse and I had many questions, she was so nice and answered all of my questions without being annoyed to someone who is new to crystals and healing. It was my first time in the store , and I felt very welcome when I came in. Everyone that was there offered their knowledge and help. There's so much crystals to choose from. I love how they are on the seashells. I'll be doing that to the crystals I bought. There is a very mellow dog named Sophie who was the first to greet me and let me pet her soooo many times.
