I get that the gut is complicated and we don't know a lot about it yet. But that's the whole point. I quickly realized that real-life doctors don't really know any more than doctors on Google. I could have saved a lot of $$$ if I had realized that. They tried, but it was all guesswork and things I could have tried on my own. There was also very little urgency in the treatment plan e.g. "Try this for 6 weeks. We'll see what happens. See you at the next appointment." Like I'm suffering, in pain, and want an answer. I never got one. And I'm not blaming them for it - they just didn't have any answers, even though they tried. I've had more success through my own research and experimentation.

The infamous phone call took place at 09:30 hrs on Monday and my mail guy had a CERTIFIED letter on him by Tues. a.m. Wish I could get my other mail delivered so promptly. The letter said: DISCHARGE INSTRUCTIONS Good old Dr. John Park (as you will see in the attachment) after hearing only Michelle (sign in girl...that will be 20 for today.......cash or charge.......phones etc. Boy, she certainly sounds important folks..if she's still there) side of the story; put together this gracious letter after my traveling down there for about 6 years. I was not there every month. In fact I was only there every THREE MONTHS (sometimes 2 months). I guess he has a good golf game or God forbid, he was breaking any medical practice law. In all those years, never did I even remove my shirt or have my mobility checked etc. It's always the same: 1. Step on the scale 2. How's those pills working for you? 3. What is your pain today on a scale of 1 - 10. Then the man himself comes in and tells me to come back in 3 months and I was "thankful" thinking, "what a guy" to save me that long drive every month. BUT, that was before Michelle, at the front desk, got involved and now I have been advised to WEAN myself off what started at 60 mg. of Opana/Oxymorphone and VICODIN/hydrocodone 4 breakthrough pills of 10-325 every day down to ZERO in only 20 days. Wish me luck with THAT. So, I guess if there is a method to my madness it is to WARN YOU and make sure you suck up to Michelle (at the front desk/window) or better....MUCH BETTER...find someone else cause after 6 years....look at the hand they dealt me. I love at the end of the letter Dr. Park says "I wish you luck in finding another pain physician"..sorta like when your friend laughs at you and says "yeah, good f......g luck with that , dude"
