When booking with Graeber they have a very intensive online "questionnaire" to determine what stylist would be best suited for your needs. I was paired with Raul. He listened to me, viewed all of my photos and gave me feedback on my style and photos and we were in agreement on the best path forward. The receptionist also was very welcoming, offered me coffee and gave me a tour. They carry Oribe and Aveda products which I use so that also is great. In addition to cuts/styles they have extensive skin care routines/facials. The services and products are not inexpensive but if you know what you want this is where you can get it. There was a glitch with their online booking system in which it made it appear that no openings were available, thankfully they reached out by phone and I was able to get in. I explained about the issue booking and they said they would address that, so if you don't find a slot online I suggest you call. Also I found easy on street parking so that was definitely a plus. What really convinced me to try A Beautiful Reaction was when I saw that the colorists and stylists received on-going education. I believe it's always important to improve one's skills. Rather than going into detail for the sake of keeping this review on point, let's just say that I walked out of the salon with an experience that left a lot to be desired. I wrote to the owner Kelsey and expressed my dissatisfaction with the services provided and not only did she offer to make things right, but she offered to fix my hair herself. It really says a lot about a business when the owner is not only open to criticism but accepts responsibility. What a night and day experience I had this time. It was fascinating and so helpful to actually understand the condition of my scalp instead of just guessing. Based on those images, she customized my treatment with specific products, tinctures, and even supplement recommendations that were tailored to what my scalp actually needed. The treatment itself was incredible! She used several different jets, massage tools, and scalp treatments throughout the session, and every step felt intentional.
