I had high expectations visiting the Hyundai headquarters, especially considering its prime location--but unfortunately, the service experience was far from what you'd expect from a flagship dealership. From the moment I arrived, the energy felt off. The staff looked drained and as if the joy had been sucked out of them. No warm greetings, no smiles just a very dry and dull atmosphere all around. My service advisor in particular was not really pleasant; his attitude was flat and uninterested, making the whole interaction feel like a chore for him. However, the morning shuttle driver had a better more pleasant attitude. Staff should take tips from him on having a better attitude especially that early in the morning. Communication was another major issue. Good luck trying to get back in touch if you happen to miss a call from your advisor, no call back or communication after. And don't expect any sort of transparency or professionalism when it comes to documenting your vehicle. There were no before photos of my car provided, even upon my related issue of my wrap paper coming off on the driver side. I was told I had to wait for the director of service to review it. So I guess if the service advisor can't seem to identify the before photos taken the director of service definitely would right after he's taken lunch and left for the rest of the day. Their time seems to be more precious than their customers. If you have a wrapped car or any custom work, be extremely cautious. You may not get your vehicle back in the same condition, and there won't be much accountability from the staff or even the DIRECTOR of service. It's disappointing because the facility itself is in a great area, but the service experience was soulless and lacking in even the most basic customer care. I won't be returning! I would not recommend a Genesis: 1. You are investing in a luxury car with a terrible customer service experience. 2. Beware that most of Hyundai Dealerships will NOT service your car due to the fact that most Hyundai Locations did NOT extend their contracts with Genesis. Which it causes two main issues. Extended schedules availability and far distances to get to a location that will service the car. 3. During my lease end I knew I had to pay for the extra milage which rounded up to almost 10,000. I've attempted to negotiate with Genesis Finance and they are refusing to offer a payment plan. They want almost 10,000 in just one payment. 4. My best advice to new customers is stay away from Genesis. Invest in a luxury car that will provide the luxury experience. read more

Their website offers a $75 Amazon gift card for taking a test drive. I registered and received a coupon code that I was supposed to present to the dealership when I took the test drive. I made an appointment, showed up on time, and had a nice test drive. When I asked about the gift card I got blank looks like they didn't know what I was talking about. Finally the sales manager said "they will email it to you". I gave them the coupon code I received and was told it would be coming soon. Well, after a few follow up notes with the salesperson, nothing has happened. Now they won't even respond. More than a week has passed so I guess nothing will be coming. Glad I didn't do business with this dealership. If they will receive on a small thing like this how can they be trusted in the big things? Helped my young daughter drop off her 2018 Sonata Sunday night specifically for a fuel pump diagnostic, per Hyundai Corporate, so as to qualify for an extended warranty repair. While helping transfer items from her car to mine I turned around to see an older salesman had approached my daughter and was telling her that as the dealership where she purchased her car had been caught altering CarFax reports to cover up crash damage which would void any warranty repairs-- which was simply not true per the Hyundai Technical Service Bulletin I held in my hand, provided by our mechanic and verified by Hyundai Corporate. I then received a call the next day, Monday, asking for authorization for the diagnostic we specifically requested IN WRITING when we dropped the car off and was asked to provide my birthday as verification (WTH) -- and told it could be Thursday or Friday before they could "get around to taking a look." I then received a call today, Tuesday, from the same service rep telling me they had found corrosion on the battery terminal... The rep made NO mention of the fuel pump until I pressed him and then proceeded to say that "there was no problem with the fuel pump" and not a minute later admitted his "team" hadn't CHECKED the fuel pump. So basically a pedo salesman upsets my daughter with his BS and a clueless service rep lied to me. Will be updating this IF I get the promised call back from a service manager... I honestly am starting believe their whole service department is just full of scams. I brought my car in for two recalls, an oil change and washed them to look at my windshield fluid reservoir because I believed it was leaking - I would fill it up and it was be empty within days. Side note: I also had brake lights out - I had the replacements just haven't gotten around to change them. They performed everything and a multipoint inspection. They quoted the windshield fluid replacement around $450. Funny thing is since then it hasn't been leaking so I believed the pipe may have been loose. But they were going to let me fix it and charge me even though it wasn't broken. Also after they performed all the updates per the recall, my rear view camera just so happened to stop working as soon as I got the car back. They advised it had nothing to do with them but I find it very suspicious that it just so happened to stop working once they performed the updates. And then you have their regular scams with charging 90$ to replace the cabin filter. There was no mention of my brake lights being out, you would think if they did a multipoint inspection they would advise things that actually have to be fixed on the car not just the things they can make money off that aren't broken. read more

We bought our 2023 Genesis GV80 here and the salesman was nice. I have no complaints on the sales side other than they sold us a car that had a scratch on the front bumper, told us they'd fix it for free and then never followed up. That aside the major issue with this place is the service department. They never answer their phone, and apparently to get genesis service, I have to speak to a single person in the building named Sean, who is never there. I leave voicemails and never get a call back. I have to call all day every day until I can get ahold of this guy and only then can I schedule service. I currently have an un-drivable genesis sitting in my driveway because the fuel pump seems to have gone and I can't reach anyone from service. I'm about to sell this and get a Tesla because I can't take dealing with these people anymore. read more

Extremely manipulative practices and customer service. I purchased my brand vehicle brand new with the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty with the pretense that the warranty would cover any issues not caused by user error and would cover major car issues. The engine light on my 2019 63,000/mile vehicle came on and I got it diagnosed at a local autozone so I knew what the issue was, I just needed to know if the part was covered under warranty. No one, not in service nor through the customer care line could provide this information. I was convinced to get the car diagnosed under the assumption that if covered by warranty, the fee would be waived/refunded. I was charged the diagnostic fee of $200 only to be told it was the same part I already knew was defective and that it was in fact not covered by warranty. I find it very deceptive that this information cannot be provided without providing a diagnostic fee. Apparently my frustration is unfounded. If you're buying your car based on the 10 year/100,000 mile guarantee, get ready to hear 5 years 60,000 miles on repeat regardless of being the cars original owner. Came to this dealership to look at the Genesis GV80 because I never seen it before in person and we're looking to buy. I see the Genesis G80 only on the sales floor. So, I asked the 1st representative if they have the GV80 in stock to look at. He says, there's a Genesis representative that would need to speak with me because he's not qualified. So I'm introduced to a 2nd representative who says he can show me the vehicle and that he's willing to retrieve the keys to look at it. He then shows up empty handed and says he's not qualified to show me the vehicle either so then the 2nd representative introduces me to a 3rd representative who says he's qualified but then tells me that in order to retrieve the key, he needs to speak to his manager who I needed to wait for. When I asked how long do I need to wait to SEE the vehicle, he says, he doesn't know and puts me in the office. I waited for 2 minutes and then the same 3rd representative comes back to try to hold a conversation with me. This weird conversation is about me being married and why didn't I bring my husband with me? I didn't know I needed my husbands permission to visit a dealership or he needed to be present to look at the vehicle. I said, look.....I never asked to DRIVE the vehicle. I just want to see it. I immediately got up to walk away but before I did, I said, "Just because you don't think I'm buying right away makes me feel like you're not willing to show me the vehicle." I also let him know I'm going somewhere else Please, please, please train your sales agents customer service. There is a level of customer service you need to show a potential buyer. My car is a 2015 Hyundai Sonata (white), and the exterior paint is severely peeled off. In 2019, I went to the, CardinaleWay Hyundai - Glendora branch, for car maintenance, as well as a car wash. After they finished hosing down the car, I noticed that a piece of the car's paint had started to peel off. After negotiations, they agreed to touch it up. What started as a tiny piece gradually became much more, as, in recent months, more and more of the paint started peeling off from the car's exterior. Because of this situation, it can be determined that there was a serious problem with the painting process of this car because I sought out help from professionals, who told me that the white paint present on my car should not be peeling off in such a short timeframe. Compared to previous cars that I had driven, I have never had to experience the same issue as I now face with this car brand. Despite driving a car for ten years, to put it to comparison, that car is still relatively intact. Now, whenever I see sectors of the paint peeling away, I feel upset. I'm really disappointed because, despite an issue in the quality of the car's paint and seeking help from representatives directly responsible for several years, they are instead shirking their responsibilities. I had a deal worked out over e-mail, prior to arrival, and also had my own financing lined up ahead of time. I was a little worried that once I arrived, they would try and change the deal up at the last minute, but this was not the case. I found the salesman Joel to be friendly, honest, and easy to deal with. While I am personally not a fan of the Hyundai brand, I would highly recommend this location to anyone who discovers that they carry a used vehicle that they are interested in. I bought a brand new car from here. Everything was good except for the service side. I first planned with my advisor to make an appointment for a month out to make sure I had a rental to get around. When the time came there was no rental. I dropped my car off anyway and was with out it for 4-5 weeks. 3 of those weeks I had no rental and only got a resolution when I complained to a manager. When I got the car back it still had half the issues that I brought it in for. Fast forward a couple of months I believe in second chances so I scheduled an appointment with the same service guy and he assured me that this time I would have a rental. WE WERE BAIT AND SWITCHED. My fiance and I were seeking to downsize by trading in our two vehicles for a new Elantra. We brought our vehicles to Headquarter Hyundai where we initially received laughable offers. We were told by the salesperson that all trade in values could be price matched and she confirmed it was verified by her manager. My fiance and I then visited several dealerships to obtain documentation of a fair offer for our vehicles to bring back to Hyundai for matching as we still wanted to do business with them. We scheduled an appointment and drove to Hyundai a few days later with updated offers in hand. As soon as we arrived and handed them to the salesperson, her manager emerged to tell us they, in fact, would not match the trade in offers we received (which were about $10k more total than Hyundai's offer, just as a frame of reference for how low Hyundai's offer was). We left extremely disappointed and ended up finding a new Elantra for the price we wanted with fair offers for our vehicles at a different Hyundai dealership. read more
